Novelist Slides Through On Menacing New Banger “Wagwan”

Novelist has been dropping nothing but straight heat over the past year. He had one hell of a run in 2020 including the release of three projects, Heat, Rain Fire, and Quantum Leap. With such a hectic year, Novelist had a lot to say and maintained a high level of quality with the execution of each.

We’re only hoping that Novelist will maintain this momentum in 2021 with the release of even more bodies of work. This weekend, he slid through with his first offering of the year, “Wagwan.” On the menacing banger, the rapper flexes his lyrical muscle over a hard-hitting drill-influenced beat.

Novelist can’t miss, even if he tried. Check out the rapper’s latest single below and sound off in the comments with your thoughts.

Drakeo The Ruler Pays Homage To Ketchy The Great On New Song

The rap game was struck with tragic news last week when it was revealed rising West Coast rapper Ketchy The Great had died. A member of L.A.’s Stinc Team, Ketchy was coming up in the game and with Drakeo’s recent release last year, things were shaping up to be huge for the Stinc Team as a whole. “LONG LIVE KETCHY THE GREAT IMA TURN UP FOR YOU FOR YOU ALL YEAR,” Drakeo captioned a tribute post last week.

Shortly after, he released a brand new single honoring his late friend called “Long Live The Greatest.” The rapper reflects on their relationship and his love for Ketchy over soulful yet hollow production. “Silly n***as better not play with your name,” raps Drakeo on the song.

Calboy Assists DCG Shun & DCG Bsavv On “Rivals”

Drill took over the world in the early 2010s before finding its way back into the mainstream in the past few years. And although it’s taken on a new life in places like London and Brooklyn, Chicago is and will be the home of drill forever. The DCG Brothers are among those carrying the torch into a new generation with their own pop-friendly twist. Each record, they continue to carve out their own lane in rap.

This week, they slid through with a brand new offering alongside one of the brightest new talents to come out of Chicago, Calboy. Together, DCG Shun, DCG BSavv, and Calboy connect for a trunk-rattling banger, titled, “Rivals” where each rapper reflects on winning in spite of their enemies.

We had to fight for survival
I had to fight for my title

K Camp Drops Off “No More Parties Freestyle”

K Camp’s consistency is why he’s been in the game for so long. The Atlanta hitmaker has been dropping off tons of music in recent times, whether it’s solo music or with the RARE Sound collective. 2020 was a productive year for that exact reason. ALong with Kiss 5 and its deluxe release, he dropped off yet another fire project with RARE Sound.

The “Renegade” rapper is making an effort to maintain that momentum into 2021 as he continues to unveil new tracks. On Sunday, he slid through with his latest offering, “No More Parties.” The rapper flexes his melodic flow over the production of Coi Leray’s latest single, “No More Parties” as Camp reflects on his hustle.

Memphis Rapper Duke Deuce Drops New Single “Spin” With Foogiano

Memphis is having a moment right now, introducing some of the hottest up-and-coming rappers to the mainstream. This year, we’ve seen the rise of Pooh Shiesty out of the South, working closely with Gucci Mane as part of The New 1017, but he’s not the only budding superstar coming out of the group. Foogiano is also making a lot of noise out of Georgia.

Another rapper stepping out of the shadows in Memphis is Duke Deuce, who has been catching a lot of eyes as Quality Control’s latest focus. The energetic 27-year-old is back with another new single, enlisting Foogiano for “Spin”, a street record that shows why both artists are getting so much buzz lately.

Foogiano starts the song off with a long verse and a hook before Duke Deuce steps before the two-minute mark, shining through his ad-libs and delivering gritty bars over the hypnotic loop. This track was initially previewed in October 2020 on Instagram.

Check out the latest single from Duke Deuce and Foogiano below and let us know what you think in the comments.

Quotable Lyrics:

Me and Foogiano rep the same thing, we folks
Playin’ with my bread, n***a, f*ck around, get toast
Your b*tch in a Hummer, ’bout to drop pounds in that hoe
No hashtag, but I’m straight poundin’ your hoe
Wanna be mob, get plugged in
Jump in the mob, we thuggin’
She give me slop in your den
Then she gon’ say I’m her friend

LightSkinKeisha Is On Their Necks On “FDH”

You can’t know LightSkinKeisha’s hustle. Over the past few years, she’s created a solid following for herself independently but 2020’s run was an impressive one. She dropped off Talk That Talk before sliding through with Clones that included a feature from Blac Youngsta. She’s been laying relatively low since the September release but it appears that she’s revving up for a new campaign now that we’re in a new year.

Given the recent news of divorces and break ups in hip-hop, LightSkinKeisha couldn’t have picked a better time to release her new single, “FDH” which stands for Fuck Deez Hoes. It’s an upbeat, bass-heavy bop with a repetitive hook that’s bound to get stuck in your head at some point.

Check out the latest from her below.

Quotable Lyrics
Keisha, I don’t do kickbacks
Big zip, I don’t do nick bags
Twist the whole shit like a Zig-Zag
Bish want smoke? Let me hit that!
