King Hendrick$ Is Aiming For “Mega Star” Status On New Album

King Hendrick$ is not the nickname of Kendrick Lamar, but rather a rapper who likes to keep a low profile on the internet. Not much is known about the artist in terms of where he comes from, age, and all the other basic information. What we do know is that he is signed to Hitmaker Music Group and even on their website they do not list anything about him. Furthermore, this also our first time covering the rapper so we will do our best with the information we have. Not too long ago, King Hendrick$ put out a new project Mega Star.

He had quite the productive year in 2023, working harder than most by dropping five records. Furthermore, Hendrick$ was working with artists like Babyface Ray, Valee, and Top$ide. So, his fans may be expecting another massive 12 months. He has certainly being living up to that so far, with single after single and this new album.

Mega Star has been led by the singles “Leaving the Lot” and “World Domination. “Leaving the Lot” is the standout moment for us for a couple of reasons. TisaKorean Is In His Own Lane With “MUMU 8818”

TisaKorean is one of the wildest rappers out in the wild west. The Texas native is doing essentially the opposite of what artists do in the Southwest. Instead of woozy, slow-mo sounds that have moodier tones, Tisa opts for colorful and high-energy cuts. He has done that throughout his six-year career and is doing more of the same on his latest album. Over the weekend TisaKorean came through with MUMU 8818, marking his first record in just over a year. It is a tight, 10-track record with no features.

It is just Tisa being creative and we are all ears for it. Honestly, it makes sense as to why he is riding solo for the second consecutive album. There just are not many rappers out there who mesh well with him. That in and of itself is a great quality to possess as a creator and it makes MUMU 8818 that much more enjoyable.

Up until the release of TisaKorean’s seventh project, he only gave fans one sneak peek of it with “UCCI” back during the first week and a half of March. Some our favorites so far include “SLUTTALK,” “8818,” and “UCCI.” All three that trademark uniqueness that draws us into Tisa’s music. Whether that be the sticky flows and delivers or the production, there is always something to enjoy from each of these cuts. Be sure to check out MUMU 8818 with the links above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, MUMU 8818, by TisaKorean? Which songs are you gravitating toward right now? What is the best song on here? RiTchie Delivers His Abstract Debut “Triple Digits [112]”

With the unfortunate passing of Injury Reserve talent Stepa J. Groggs back in 2020, the alternative trio was sadly split up. After some assuredly hard thinking and tough conversations, rapper RiTchie and producer Parker Corey decided to close that chapter of their musical careers in solidarity. That happened back in July of 2023 and the now duo is referred to as By Storm. With this new regime in place, it means new music. RiTchie has been hard at work with that task since last summer, and now we have his debut album Triple Digits [112].

RiTchie gave us our first of the release back in February with “RiTchie Valens.” Then, just about two weeks later, he would collaborate with the equally fun Amine for “Dizzy.” Finally, he would deliver one last look into in the album with the hallucinating and abstract track “Looping.” The latter adjective is exactly how we would describe this entire listening experience.

Listen To Triple Digits [112] By RiTchie

But it is very on brand with RiTchie and everything By Storm is about. That is unorthodox ideas, flows, beats, and all of the above. With all of these different soundscapes you would think a lot of hands would be all over this project. However, the opposite is true, as Triple Digits has a total of nine producers, including RiTchie and Parker, as well as just 10 writers. It might sound all over the place on the surface, but the album comes together seamlessly.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, Triple Digits [112], by RiTchie? What songs are you gravitating toward right now? Who had the strongest guest appearance on the record and why? Do you see him having a successful solo career after this? What is the best song on here? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding RiTchie and By Storm. Finally, stay with us for the most informative project posts throughout the week.

Young Scooter Is Trying To Show Us Why He’s “Trap’s Last Hope” On New Album

South Carolina rapper Young Scooter is trap rapper to the core. A 12-year veteran in the game, the “Jugg King” creator is all about delivering street anthems with beats that slap. He may not be a well-known name to most people, but if you are looking for rock solid heaters, then he is your guy. We got a dosage of his trademark style on 2023’s Streetz Krazy with features from Future, EST Gee, Money Man, and more. Today, Young Scooter is back quickly to get active in 2024 with Trap’s Last Hope.

This is now his 14th project overall and he is bringing some secret guests on to accompany him. For example, Future gets an uncredited appearance on the opening cut “Grind Don’t Stop.” It is a great way to kick off the record, as Scooter is sounding hungry and not letting up on working hard. The woodwind sample woven into the beat is a nice touch that gives it a grand feeling.

The fire beats continue on the very next track “No More Going Broke.” Zaytoven is back behind the keyboards and seeing the Zaystreet collaborators back together is always welcome. All in all, its another solid outing from Young Scooter, so be sure to check it out.

Kanye West Shuts Down Solo Album Rumors After Erick Sermon Teases “Y3”

Earlier this month, Erick Sermon chatted with HipHopDX about a new solo project Kanye West has on the way. According to Ye, however, it’s nothing but “fake news.” At the time, Sermon claimed that he had worked alongside the Chicago MC in Florence, Italy in 2023, on material that wasn’t for his joint project with Ty Dolla Sign, Vultures. He even shared details of the rumored release, stating that fans would see a return of the “old Ye.”

“The record I was working on wasn’t what him and Ty Dolla Sign was doing at the time,” he explained. “I was working on Y3, Ye’s solo album […] Hopefully, we can finish what we started, y’know, ’cause I had him on Hip Hop. I was like, ‘You got to rhyme and we have to do the stuff that you used to do ’cause you ill at that,’ y’know? And he listened […] I had [the old Kanye] back.” Now, Ye has responded to a fan account asking about the project, making it clear that it doesn’t actually exist.

Ye Calls Erick Sermon’s Y3 Comments “Fake News”

“This is fake news. Ain’t no album called Y3. And ain’t nobody tryna be the ‘old Ye.’ When I made 808s [& Heartbreak] n***as was running round talking bought they miss the old Ye,” he wrote. “We just made King / Back 2 Me / Carnival/Talking just to name a few. We got the number 1 song in the world and number 1 album in the world with top level beats top level bars top level hooks top level features,” Ye added, “I’m the greatest artist in any genre ever. And I’m just getting started.”

Erick Sermon Says Kanye West’s Next Solo Album Will Be A Return To The Old Ye

Erick Sermon says that he worked with Kanye West on new music in Florence, Italy, last year, and the songs the rapper was putting together sounded like the old Kanye. Reflecting on the experience during an interview with HipHopDX, Sermon explained that the tracks were separate from Ye’s work with Ty Dolla Sign on Vultures and instead, for an upcoming solo effort.

“The record I was working on wasn’t what him and Ty Dolla Sign was doing at the time,” Sermon recalled. “I was working on Y3, Ye’s solo album […] Hopefully, we can finish what we started, y’know, ’cause I had him on Hip Hop. I was like, ‘You got to rhyme and we have to do the stuff that you used to do ’cause you ill at that,’ y’know? And he listened […] I had [the old Kanye] back.”

Kanye hasn’t provided details on his next solo release, but he intends to drop two more projects with Ty Dolla Sign to round out the Vultures trilogy. He shared the first installment independently on February 10. It features collaborations with Freddie Gibbs, YG, Quavo, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, his own daughter, North, and several more artists. It debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200, marking the rapper’s 11th consecutive album to do so. West has said he intends to drop the second and third installments of the trilogy on March 8 and April 5. Check out Sermon’s interview with HipHopDX below.

Money Man Drops A Series Of Bass-Heavy Trap Heaters On “Purple Heart”

Money Man loves to provide his fans with new music whenever he can. Which is why the veteran Georgia trap rapper has put out over 20 projects in his career. For that reason, it is no surprise that Money Man is back already to deliver Purple Heart. We got the chance to speak with the 37-year-old back on the release date of his 2023 project CROPTOBER. Money Man revealed the reason why he likes to release new material at a faster rate than most rappers. “The music game is so slow. Behind the scenes is so slow with them, handling producers and getting the paperwork together and clearances…”

He continues, “I don’t have time for that. That’s why my fan base loves me because I’m always keeping them with new music.” Well, he is back to do just that in the early stages of 2024. Purple Heart was actually teased in the latter half of 2023.

Scrim Crawls Into Dark Cave On New Album “Lonely Boy”

Rap duos and groups launching solo careers is nothing new in the hip-hop world. Migos is not as strong a presence as it once was for various reasons. Their last album as group was back in 2021 with Culture III. OutKast did the same thing too. Andre 3000 recently made a massive reappearance with his experimental album New Blue Sun. $uicideboy$ is another duo to add in the mix as well.

As of 2020, Scrim ($crim) has been putting out his solo material. He put out his debut called A Man Rose from the Dead, a 20-song lone wolf effort. However, it would not be until 2024 that we would see new material from just Scrim. He put out a single called “paradise.”

Mario Judah Gets Violent Beyond Belief On Debut LP “Endure”

You would be surprised at how many artists there are in hip-hop that combine rock music and or heavy metal with rapping. Most of them dwell in the undergrounds of hip-hop. A reason for that is that a lot of the time, the sounds clash too much and it can be overpowering on the ears. But, one rapper who is sticking true to his guns is Mario Judah.

The Flint, Michigan native shares similarities with artists like ZillaKami and SosMula. They are better known as City Morgue and they have been working on that sound for a few years now. Mario Judah has been in the game slightly less than those two. However, they are his closest comparison.

Judah got his start in 2020 and since then he has been honing his sound to eventually drop his debut. Endure is the name of it and it is a seven-song solo effort with explosive instrumentals.
