Snoop Dogg Is Releasing Another 19 Crimes Wine, This Time A Rosé

It’s been nearly a year since Snoop Dogg first unveiled his years-in-the-making partnership with Australian winemakers 19 Crimes. He released his Snoop Cali Red bottle last summer, a wildly successful blend that Uproxx named “impeccably smooth.” Now, Snoop returned to announce he has another wine in the works.

The rapper once again teamed up with 19 Crimes wine, this time to create a fruity rosé. Named Snoop Cali Rosé, the new wine has tasting notes of fresh raspberry, strawberry and red cherry, and blends together Zinfandel, Grenache and Pinot Noir.

Speaking about the new bottle, Snoop said:

“We did it big with 19 Crimes Cali Red, so you know we had to do it again – and this time, I was thinking pink. I can’t wait for everyone to sip on my Snoop Cali Rosé and bring those fresh feels from spring into summer and beyond. I hope when you open a bottle of this wine you take a little mind trip to my Cali home. This is how we Rosé the Snoop Dogg way!”

Echoing Snoops statement, Treasury Wine Estates marketing vice president John Wardley said: “Snoop has been a dream collaborator that has taken 19 Crimes Snoop Cali Red to the top of the charts as the no. 1 Wine Innovation of 2020. We can’t wait for this second release to hit our loyal 19 Crimes fan base and see how they Rosé with Snoop Cali Rosé. This is 19 Crimes’ first California rosé and we are already seeing high demand from our retail partners to get it in store as soon as we possibly can.”

Snoop Cali Rosé is available now in the US. Get it here.

DaBaby Has Some Words For A Viral Grandmother Who Rated His Looks A 1 Out Of 10

In multiple ways, DaBaby is a 1. His two latest albums, Kirk and Blame It On Baby, both peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. His Roddy Ricch-featuring single “Rockstar” also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He’s also a 1 in the eyes of a random grandmother who went viral after rating his appearance in a video, along with the looks of other rappers.

Snoop Dogg shared the clip on Instagram — likely because the grandma saw him and exclaimed, “15!” — and in it, a woman shares with her grandmother a photo gallery of rappers and asks her to rate them each on a scale of 1 to 10. She begins with DaBaby, who earned a simple response: “One.” DaBaby saw the clip and was a good sport about it, commenting, “Damn gma. [crying laughing emoji] Yeen got no love for baby?”

DaBaby actually wasn’t the worst performer of the clip, though. Some other rappers earned 1 ratings as well while others earned 0 scores from the discerning critic, like Lil Durk, Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, and Lil Wayne, the latter of whom got a harsh score of “Oh my god, minus 0!”

Check out the hilarious clip above.

D Smoke Pays Homage To ‘Sade’ And Remixes The Snoop Dogg-Featuring ‘Gaspar Yanga’ For Spotify

Just a day after Chika’s Grammy-week Spotify Singles release found her covering Billie Eilish, Chika’s fellow Best New Artist nominee D Smoke drops his own Spotify Singles package, including a remix of his Snoop Dogg-featuring “Gaspar Yanga” and new song “Sade.” “Sade” is an ode to the music of the British singer, but it’s also an homage to the healing power of music overall, as he addresses the hardships of his upbringing in Inglewood, California, and how music helps to ease his mind.

Meanwhile, on the more aggressive “Gaspar Yanga,” D Smoke does a little chest-beating, boasting of his success and strength. The remix is a rarity in 2021, as it’s an actual “remix” of the beat, utilizing a different sample after the original took its leading looping from the Koutev Bulgarian National Ensemble’s 1991 rendition of “Bre, Petrunko.”

D Smoke discussed his Grammy nominations — he’s also up for Best Rap Album — with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, explaining what the nominations meant for him just a year after his breakout in the wake of winning the first season of Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow. “I appreciate that because a lot of people think popularity is the determinant factor,” he said. “A lot of people determine their success by the numbers. When you got artists on their own dime and their own time that make something happen, that’s worth recognizing. It’s artists that stream more than me. It’s artists that have more radio play than me. But if we’re talking about what I put out and the company that I’m amongst, I’m proud to see that list.”
