Legendary R&B and soul singer Danny Boy makes his highly anticipated return with his latest single, “My Everything,” featuring Snoop Dogg. Released today via Death Row/gamma.
The new track showcases Danny Boy’s signature vocal prowess and emotional depth that fans have come to love over the years. Produced by Mike & Keys, the track brings back the nostalgic warmth of a classic ’90s R&B love song. Danny Boy’s latest release marks a pivotal moment in his storied career, celebrating his return to Death Row Records, the iconic label where he first rose to fame at just 16. Renowned for his soulful vocals on Tupac’s platinum hits like “I Ain’t Mad at Cha” and “Picture Me Rollin’,” Danny Boy was a key figure during West Coast hip-hop’s golden contributing his powerful voice to classics by MC Hammer, Twista, and Crucial Conflict. In 2010, he dropped his long-awaited debut LP, It’s About Time, a 15-track album featuring contributions from Roger Troutman, Jodeci’s DeVante Swing and JoJo, and DJ Quik, who handled much of its production. Danny Boy’s journey is filled with resilience and triumph, solidifying his place as one of R&B’s most powerful and iconic voices.

Apart from arguably being the most well-known rapper on the planet and one of the GOATs, Snoop Dogg is known for his many brand partnerships. In addition to his musical legacy, part of the scale of his celebrity is how he links up with pretty much anything. Or almost anything, we should say. On Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Tha Doggfather claimed that the rumors about the adult content platform OnlyFans offering him over $100 million for a partnership were true. While joined by Martha Stewart and Seth Meyers, he did admit that there’s a part of him that regrets turning it down.
“I did turn down $100 million, yes. The only part that regrets it is my friend down there,” Snoop Dogg joked… We’ll let you put two and two together. “[The OnlyFans representative] said that $100 million he would’ve been able to spend untaxed! But I told him, ‘It’s not your decision. I’m not thinking with the little head this time, I want to think with the big head and you’re not getting any of this.’”
In other Snoop Dogg news, his presence isn’t just legendary among gossip sites that care about OnlyFans or regular citizens just hearing wild stuff about celebrities. Within hip-hop, his primary contribution to the culture, his stamp of approval can be magnanimous, ushering in new eras and continuing his legacy in impactful ways. Kendrick Lamar recently admitted that the first time he publicly cried (maybe at all) was when the Long Beach icon and a slew of other West Coast artists handed him the torch as their new leading face. It was a very special moment, and one that an adult content deal would make at least a little bizarre these days.
Jokes aside, Snoop Dogg’s album with Dr. Dre, Missionary, is still on the way, and they’ve talked a lot about it and their creative partnership in comparison to others. Still, none of this means that we don’t still expect Snoop to ink a deal with other curious companies. Just not ones that would make him think “with the little head.”
Snoop Dogg isn’t exactly lacking for money. He made a reported $9 million for being “the main star of the Paris Olympics.” But the rapper could have been $100 million richer if he joined OnlyFans.
Last year, Snoop confirmed on the Wake & Bake With Double S Express show that OnlyFans reached out to him to join their roster of adult-content creators. “They got at me when one of them little girls made like $20 million on there,” he said. “They were like, ‘OnlyFans wants you to come on there, Snoop! You could do about $100 million. All you gotta do is pull that thang out.’ I’m like, ‘I got a Black wife, n****. Ain’t no way in the world she gonna allow me to go on there and pull that thang out for no amount of money!’”
Does Snoop have any regrets about his decision? This question was posed to him by a viewer on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “The only part that regrets it is my friend down there,” he said while looking at his, well, you can probably guess. “He said that hundred million, he would have been able to spend untaxed. But I told him, ‘It’s not your decision. I’m not thinking with the little head this time. I want to think with the big head, and you’re not getting any of this.’”

On this day in Hip Hop history, we celebrate the birth of one of Hip Hop and pop culture’s most recognizable icons, Snoop Doggy Dogg. Uncle Snoop was born Cordozar Calvin Broadus, Jr. in Long Beach, California in 1971. Since then he has risen to become a household name in Hip Hop. His image and style are synonymous with the West Coast and his name will forever stand among the Pantheon of legends who helped shape Hip Hop culture.
Over his 22 (and counting) album career, Snoop has always played close attention to visuals. With every album, Snoop has put together a theatrical representation of his G-Funk sound. In honor of his born day, we have compiled a list of the ten best videos from his 26-year career.
#10 “Vato” feat. B-Real – Tha Blue Carpet Treatment
In the streets of Los Angeles, African-Americans and Latinos have never really seen eye-to-eye. Due to the immense gang culture of this southern California metropolitan area, the two races have been at odds. With this video, Snoop and Chicano gangsta rapper B-Real come together to try and ease some of that racial tension. The video was directed by Phillip G. Atwell and premiered on BET on August 30, 2006. An animated version was also released in the following month.
#9 “Faden Away” as 7 Days of Funk – 7 Days of Funk
In 2013, Snoop Dogg amused the pseudonym Snoopzilla, teamed up with LA-based producer DāM-FunK, and became a part of the prolific synth-heavy G-Funk group 7 Days of Funk. The video for “Faden Away” has a very retro feel, reminiscent of the years when funk monopolized the airwaves. Directed by Henry DeMaio, the visuals serve as a funkadelic time machine taking viewers back to a good old fashion house party and is a part of a series.
#8 “Drop It Like It’s Hot” feat. Pharrell Williams – R&G (Rhythm and Gangsta): The Masterpiece
Possible Snoop’s most popular song of the decade, “Drop It Like It’s Hot”‘s simplistic black and white color scheme that perfectly complements the track’s crisp production and smooth lyrics. Directed by Paul Hunter, the video consists of cameos from Terry Kennedy, Lauren London, Neptunes producer Chad Hugo, and Pusha T. In 2005 the video won a MOBO Award for Best Video.
#7 “High Wit Me” as 7 Days of Funk – 7 Days of Funk
As another release from 7 Days of Funk, “High With Me” takes a unique twist on the conventional music video. Instead of just directing a single video and releasing it per usual, the duo decided to hold a contest and let the fans decide visual would represent the track. The winner was a green screen psychedelic adventure featuring the group’s two members. The runner-up is also posted below.
#6 “Sexual Eruption” – Ego Trippin’
As the first single off of Snoop’s ninth album, “Sexual Eruption” (or the censored “Sexual Seduction”) introduced the world to a Snoop Dogg catered to the grown and sexy. This groovy soul-inspired came with a video straight out of the Blaxploitation era. Directed by Melina and Steven Johnson, the video features Snoop in a Bootsy Collins-ish glam rock outfit holding a keytar while using a voice box, pure nostalgia.
#5 “Peaches N Cream” featuring Charlie Wilson – Bush
As the first single of his thirteenth album, Snoop again revisits his soulful funky roots and brings together another hit with former label-mate Uncle Charlie Wilson. Directed by Aramis Isreal and Hannah Lux Davis, the visuals are an evolution of his past retro style 70’s inspired videos. Using more CGI and green screen effects allows this video to be both a walk down memory lane and an example of what technology is capable of. Prior to the actual video release, there was a computer-animated lyric video directed by Wolf & Crow.
#4 “Who Am I (What’s My Name)”– Doggystyle
As Snoop Doggy Dogg’s debut single, “Who Am I” is simply a perfect introduction to one of the game’s most promising rising stars at the time. Directed by Fab Five Freddy, this video was one of the earliest to utilize CGI as the main plot point. In the video, Snoop and his cohorts have the ability to anamorph in a pack of dogs (with Snoop being a Doberman of course) running amok around Long Beach.
#3 “Beautiful” featuring Pharrell Williams and Charlie Wilson – Paid tha Cost to Be da Bo$$
Shot on location in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Directed by Chris Robinson and produced by Renata Chuquer, the video loosely tells the story of Snoop Dogg falling for a local woman while away on a vacation. This video could double as a travel video, showcasing some of Brazil’s most beautiful tourist attractions including the Escadaria Selarón in the gorgeous Lapa district, a 1920’s mansion in Parque Lage, and the Copacabana.
#2 “Gin and Juice” – Doggystyle
Probably Snoop Dogg’s most popular singles, “Gin and Juice”‘s music video perfectly embodies what it was like to party on the West Coast in the early ’90s. Directed by Dr. Dre, Calvin Caday, and Anita Sisaath (the producers of 2Pac’s “Dear Mama”), the video features a teenage Snoop throwing a wild party “cuz [his] mama ain’t home”. The video features Ricky Harris, Dr. Dre, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger, Eddie Griffin, and a six-year-old Bow Wow.
#1 “Murder Was the Case” feat Daz Dillinger – Doggystyle
Since the beginning of his career, Snoop Dogg has been deeply interested in the dark supernatural world. He has starred in and produced multiple horror films and has always kept a tone of evil quietly brewing beneath the majority of his work. The start of that trend came with the release of “Murder was the Case” in 1994. The song and video both spin the tale of Snoop Dogg being shot down in a drive-by and coming back to life after making a deal with the devil. As a part of this bargain, Snoop becomes a famous rapper but eventually turns his back on Satan, landing him in prison for not holding his end of the promise. The single also inspired a short film directed by Dr. Dre and Fab Five Freddy going into full detail about the story narrated in the single.
From everyone here at The Source Magazine and TheSource.com, Happy C-Day Uncle Snoop. May you see many more years of ridiculous success, fame, and fortune.
Yesterday (October 18), Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre dropped by Stephen A. Smith’s show to voice their opinions on the current statement of hip-hop and more. When asked to give aspiring artists advice, Snoop Dogg called out current active rappers for their lack of originality.
“Be original,” he said. “Right now there’s so much copycatting, mimicking, sounding alike, and imitation. Find your production, your sound, find your ear for who you are, and be original even if it ain’t hitting. Stay you.”
Dr. Dre shared his own hot take about today’s rap scene focusing his attention on producers. “Find your collaborators,” he added. “I don’t like the fact that there are nine different producers on one album. I like the idea of one producer on an album. Continuity is everything.”
Stephen chimed in to inquire about the trend’s origins, but Dr. Dre hilariously wasn’t interested in tracing its roots, saying: “I don’t know. But I don’t like it.”

On this day in Hip Hop history,Eazy-E released his second solo EP It’s On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa. Released one year after his first EP and a long five years after his debut album Eazy-Duz-It, this album was a response to Dr. Dre’s prolific debut The Chronic. Tensions became high between the two NWA heavyweights and after the group’s 1991 split, the beef became public.
The West Coast was in a state of civil war. After NWA’s explosive breakup, its ex-members spared no time to air out their grievances on every other record they released. With Ice Cube attacking the Ruthless Records infrastructure and Dr. Dre siding with the enemy (Suge Knight and Death Row) to bring down all Eazy had built, there was no choice but for Eazy-E to respond as he did. He used the bulk of this album to state his opinion on Dr. Dre and his street authenticity, with each of the eight tracks on the EP attacking Dre’s image, originality, past, and current status in the rap game.
Aside from the disrespect that served as the core of this project, Eazy-E truly flexed his musical muscles with every track. Whether the inspiration surged from his emotional reaction to what was going with his ex-bandmates or simply from him being a seasoned veteran of gangsta rap is uncertain. What can be seen and heard however is that Eazy-E ate his Wheaties before hopping on the microphone to lay down this EP. With this project, we hear Eazy more comfortable with his own flow and who knows exactly where his lane is and how to be the fastest in it. As his final completed work in life, it is a great depiction of his growth and maturity as an artist.
Commercially, the album was a success. Peaking at #5 on the Billboard 200 and claiming the #1 spot on the Top R&B/Hip Hop chart, It’s On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa sold 110,600 copies in it’s first week and was certified double platinum in 1994.
Rap legends Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg have once again united their creative forces, this time venturing into the world of premium spirits with the launch of STILL G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop. Announced today, this ultra-premium gin marks the highly-anticipated second product release from their award-winning beverage brand, and the duo’s first entry into the pure premium spirit space. Following the global success of their first release, the Gin & Juice canned cocktail, STILL G.I.N. brings the same level of quality, craftsmanship, and innovation to the world of distilled spirits.
STILL G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop is a bold, modern gin that stands out for its clean, citrus-forward flavor and smooth, mixable quality. Bursting with notes of tangerine, jasmine, and coriander, the gin offers a vibrant and balanced profile that’s designed to elevate any cocktail experience. As the first pure bottled spirit with the official cosign of Dr. Dre and Snoop, STILL G.I.N. showcases the perfectionist approach that both artists are known for.
“This is not a liquor that we’re just putting our name on,” Dr. Dre explains. “It’s just like we did with Beats headphones. Everything is us from the ground up: the gin, the flavor, the packaging… Everything had to be perfect. Snoop said it best: we’re better together – it’s always magical. From the look to the taste, it’s all there.”
Snoop Dogg added, “Every day in the studio when Dre and I were trying to make the dopest music, we were drinking gin and just having fun. We’ve been a part of the evolution of this gin – from the creation of the flavor to the percentage of alcohol that’s in it – and it’s just so good! Dre’s a perfectionist: he wants to make sure it’s not just good, but great. Together, we ain’t gonna do nothing regular!”
STILL G.I.N. draws its inspiration from the pair’s classic hit “Still D.R.E.” off Dr. Dre’s groundbreaking album 2001, paying homage to the duo’s musical legacy while breaking new ground in the beverage industry. This follows the release of their highly successful Gin & Juice, a nod to Snoop Dogg’s iconic track of the same name.
Crafted through an artisanal process of vapor distillation in a copper pot, STILL G.I.N. is 85 proof (42.5% ABV) and features a refined botanical blend that balances vibrant citrus flavors with subtle floral and spice notes. The meticulous craftsmanship that went into this gin ensures it appeals to a wide variety of palates, from casual drinkers to seasoned gin connoisseurs.
The bottle design is equally striking, with its unique honeycomb 750ml packaging created by renowned designer Ini Archibong, who also conceived the branding for Gin & Juice. The result is an eye-catching and stylish bottle that reflects the premium quality of the spirit inside.
Priced at $34.99, STILL G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop is distilled and bottled in the U.S. and distributed nationwide through Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits. The launch comes on the heels of a successful first year for the brand, which included international expansion and becoming the first-ever alcohol sponsor of an NCAA bowl game with the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl.
“We’ve always wanted to create a gin that matches the level of creativity and innovation we bring to everything we do,” says Andrew Gill, the brand’s Chief Strategy Officer. “Dre and Snoop were involved in every step – from the bottle design to getting the perfect harmony of botanical notes into each sip.”
With STILL G.I.N., Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg continue to push boundaries, offering a premium spirit that’s as smooth and sophisticated as the music they’ve created over the years. Fans can now raise a glass to the dynamic duo’s latest success, as STILL G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop is officially available for purchase nationwide.
