Kim Kardashian On Parenting Her & Kanye West’s Four Kids: “There Are Nights I Cry Myself To Sleep”

Kim Kardashian loves her four children, there’s no denying that. Still, that doesn’t mean the business mogul has had the easiest time navigating motherhood – especially since her divorce from Kanye West. The pair continues to amicably co-parent North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm to the best of their abilities, with minimal drama unfolding for the exes following a particularly tumultuous 2022. Kardashian made it clear that she’s ready to start dating again recently. However, she hopes to avoid the Hollywood circle (and she’s definitely not dating any Lakers) in favour of a finance bro but has yet to introduce the world to any potential prospects.

As she continues to scout out her romantic options, the SKIMS founder took time to chat with podcast host Jay Shetty about motherhood and mental illness, among other hot topics. The full episode has yet to drop, though PEOPLE has obtained an exclusive clip of their conversation during which Kardashian gets particularly candid about the highs and lows of parenting. “Everyone says the days are long and the years are short, and that couldn’t be like a more true statement,” she poignantly reflected in the video. “I mean, especially when they’re babies and you’re feeding … there’s madness going on. It’s like full madness. It’s the best chaos though.”

According to Kim, scheduling time for a workout early in the morning helps her feel more in control of her day. After hitting the gym, she usually finds herself pulled between helping one child with their hair and putting on another’s shoes all while trying to prepare breakfast. “It’s like full crazy madness, cooking, running around. Like, it’s wild,” the socialite gushed. Elsewhere, she shared that being a mother is the part of life that’s taught her the most about herself so far. “It has been the most challenging thing,” Kardashian admitted. “There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy shit, this f*cking tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?”

“You know, with all the moods and the personalities and sometimes they’re fighting, and you know, there’s no one there,” she told the host. “Like, it’s [just] me to play good police officer and bad cop.” Will you tap into Kim Kardashian’s complete On Purpose with Jay Shetty interview? Keke Palmer Praises Single Parents After Welcoming Her Son: “I’m Gettin’ COOKED!”

Celebrities – they’re just like us. In the days after giving birth for the first time, Keke Palmer is keeping it incredibly real with her followers. In a video posted to her feed on Friday (March 3), the True Jackson VP actress admitted that parenthood has been anything but easy so far. Thankfully, she has her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, by her side. Still, she took a moment to acknowledge the hard work of people who are raising children on their own.

“I just came on here to say, if you are a single parent, pull out your cape. Matter fact, clip your angel wings. Because I don’t know how it is you did it,” Palmer told the camera as her weekend was beginning. “And I really don’t want this to sound pander-y or something like this, because I know there are a million and one reasons why somebody wants to be a single parent or becomes a single parent. Maybe they lost somebody, maybe they don’t want to deal with somebody, maybe it’s a choice.”

Keke Gives an Update on Motherhood

The Illinois-born entertainer then admitted that she’s realizing that it truly does “take a village” to rear a little one. “Sometimes that’s a privilege,” Palmer acknowledged. “And I just want anybody out there that’s a single parent that’s been doing this – friends of mine, people that I don’t know, family members of mine – it brings tears to my eyes. I am just truly, profoundly impressed.”

In the caption of her vulnerable video, the new mother added, “I ain’t gon’ lie, I’m gettin’ COOKED!” Seeing as she’s been so honest about her family life on social media so far, we’re expecting plenty more updates from the Hustlers actress and little Leodis Andrellton Jackson. While many agree that the infant is absolutely adorable, his name hasn’t gotten such a positive reaction from social media.

Defending Little Leodis from Internet Trolls

After she shared the exciting news of her son’s arrival online, well-wishes began flying towards the growing family. Of course, there were snide comments about the moniker chosen by the young parents. “That name sound like it led a civil rights march,” one Twitter user wrote at the end of February. In response, Keke Palmer wrote back, “It’s giving I marched with Martin, purrrr.” See what else trolls had to say about the baby’s unique name here, and check back later for more pop culture news.
