Dwight Howard is looking to squash his beef with Shaquille O’Neal. Appearing on FanDuel TV’s NBA-centric morning show, DH12 stated he doesn’t know what started their rift but he’s over it.

The ‘me and Shaq’ thing, I don’t know what it is,” Howard said. “If we gotta go to dinner, if we gotta come on this show and have a discussion – whatever it is… We gettin’ older… let’s squash whatever beef we got.”

Shaq Guarantees Game 2 Win For The Lakers

The Lakers found themselves unable to overcome the Nuggets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. This was despite a fourth-quarter surge that nearly derailed a historic game by Nikola Jokić. It allowed the Nuggets to maintain a perfect home record during the playoffs, setting a new NBA record in the process with seven home wins. The Nuggets went 34-7 at home during the regular season. All season long, the Nuggets have been the team to beat in the West. However, the Lakers’ playoff run as a seven-seed has become the biggest threat to the team’s first-ever Finals appearance.

However, there are plenty of reasons for Lakers fans to be hopeful about a Game 2 win. Firstly, LeBron James is 12-8 in playoff series where his team lost Game 1. Secondly, the Lakers’ second-half adjustment against the Nuggets showed that the Nuggets are mortal and can be stopped. Thirdly, Shaq believes in his former team.

Shaq Confident Of Lakers Win

Speaking after the Heat took down Boston in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Shaq was riding high on confidence. “We coming. We coming. We ain’t laying down,” said O’Neal. “Would you like me to shock you now? Say it now? Lakers tomorrow. Guarantee it. Guarantee it!” the former Laker said. It’s a bold prediction as the Lakers prepare to face another tough road game in Denver.

The Lakers have faced the Nuggets three times in the Conference Finals and hold a 3-0 record in those series. In 1985, the Magic Johnson-Byron Scott Lakers dropped Game 2 to the Nuggets in a 4-1 series win. Meanwhile, the 2009 Kobe-Gasol-Carmelo Lakers dropped Games 2 and 4 in a 4-2 series win. Finally, LeBron and AD only gave up Game 3 to the Nuggets in 2020. Furthermore, the Lakers are 3-for-3 on NBA titles when beating the Nuggets in the Conference Finals. Rappin’ Shaq is back!

The NBA’s first successful rap star got back on the mic to celebrate one of the league’s most successful players’ historical season with “King Talk.” Alongside Blackway, who you might remember from his Spider-Man: Enter The Spider-Verse theme song “What’s Up Danger,” and producer Koko, Shaq commemorates LeBron James reaching his 20th season, breaking the all-time scoring record, and leading the Los Angeles Lakers once again to the playoffs.

Shaq explained how the track came to life in a statement. “KoKo and I have been sending beats back and forth for a minute now and after he played me this one, I knew I had to jump on it,” he said. “I’ve been waiting for the perfect moment for a collab with Blackway and this was it. This is the type of record that gets me hyped like I’m walking out for game seven of the finals. The lyrics and vibe of this track was so perfect for the moment when LeBron James set the NBA scoring record and I knew I had to share it with the world—a king recognizes a king. It was crazy to see so many people connect with the song when they heard the teaser, just like I did when we created it.”

Shaq and Reebok Team to Help Michigan Teen in Getting Shoes for His Size 22 Feet

Shaq goes Superman again. Last week, Michigan teen and football player Eric Kilburn Jr. gained notoriety after his mother made public through a GoFundMe page their struggles to find shoes for his size 22+ feet and made a plea for assistance in finding both immediate and long-term solutions to help make sports, and everyday life for that matter, more accessible to her son.

Since then, the family has received a flood of support, from kindhearted individuals giving to their GoFundMe page to sneaker companies promising to make special shoe lasts in Eric’s size so they can one day make custom products for him. Shaquille O’Neal, a longtime partner and partial owner of Reebok who also happens to have a size 22 foot, was able to provide some more immediate solutions by sending Eric a variety of Shaq’s custom shoes that the brand makes on a shoe last created, especially for Shaq.

Reebok was able to assist Eric to receive a surprise phone call from his idol, Shaq, after getting to know the family and discovering the extent of Eric’s long-standing admiration for him. Shaq was able to speak with Eric directly and provide his own words of support and encouragement. Since then, the two have maintained contact, and Reebok and Shaq are eager to assist Eric in his future endeavors.

Shaq Fiercely Defends LSU’s Angel Reese Against Dave Portnoy’s “Classless” Criticism

There’s a little bit of a double standard happening in women’s college basketball, and Shaquille O’Neal is coming to Angel Reese’s defense. Louisiana State University reigned over Iowa State this past weekend, taking home the 2023 NCAA national championship. The victory came with controversy after LSU star Angela Reese enjoyed her win by making John Cena’s famous wrestling gesture. She even pointed at her ring finger and taunted Iowa State star, Caitlin Clark. When Iowa beat Louisville last week, Clark made the same motion to mock the defeated.

Later, Clark was even praised by Cena who took to social media with kind words. However, following Angel Reese’s similar display, she was deemed “classless” and rude by the general public. However, she has a fierce defender in Shaq, who has been firing off responses on Twitter. Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy shared a video of Reese and added, “Classless piece of sh*t.” In the comments, Shaq added, “And so is your mother.”

We’re not sure if Portnoy has reacted to Shaq’s immature diss, but he wasn’t the only one to feel the wrath. Countdown podcast host Keith Olbermann also hopped on the microblogging site with Reese criticism. “What a f*cking idiot,” he wrote in a retweet of Reese’s gesture. “Doesn’t matter the gender, the sport, the background – you’re seconds away from a championship and you do something like this and overshadow all the good. Mindless, classless, and what kind of coach does this team have?”

Shaq replied, “Shut your dumb ass up leave angel reese alone.” Later, Olbermann apologized, admitting he wasn’t familiar with what led to Reese’s moment. “I apologize for being uninformed last night about the back story on this.” He added, “I don’t follow hoops, college or pro, men or women. I had no idea about Clark. Both were wrong.” Clark was accused of using the gesture to various teams throughout the season but didn’t face the same backlash. Reese has been unapologetic for her behavior, stating she’s from Baltimore, where people trash talk on the court. Conversations about the controversy continue to run rampant online. Shaquille O’Neal is currently recovering from hip surgery. According to TMZ Sports, the image on social media that startled fans and supporters across the world is just Shaq recovering from the procedure.

Over the weekend, Shaq was seen online recovering after successful surgery to have his hip corrected.

For TV timing, it was right in the period The Big Diesel would get a break from his NBA on TNT work. The believed target is for Shaq to return to the air for the NBA playoffs around April 16.

Fat Joe Shares That He's 'One Million Percent' Taking The COVID-19 Vaccine

The Phillips 66 Big 12 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships will feature a number of entertainment and fan experience improvements, according to the Big 12. These upgrades are the most recent in a string of entertainment alliances and partnerships that the Big 12 has carried out as it continues to position itself at the nexus of sport and culture.

The Grammy-nominated hip-hop legend Fat Joe will play a special VIP-only set on Friday, March 10th, after the day’s games are over. In addition, on March 11 at 10:00 p.m., NBA icon and media personality Shaquille O’Neal will play a one-hour DJ set at Mosaic in the Power & Light District following the games on Saturday. “As we continue to elevate the Big 12 brand, we are thrilled to introduce a series of enhancements that will make the fan experience at our basketball championships second to none,” said Commissioner Brett Yormark. “The Big 12 Conference is a basketball powerhouse – as we thread the fabric connecting sports and culture, the Conference will continue to offer an array of off-court entertainment features, as well. I’m grateful to each of our partners, and I look forward to watching our incredible student-athletes perform on Big 12 Basketball’s biggest stage in Kansas City.”

For this year’s Basketball Championships, the Big 12 Conference and A Bathing Ape (BAPE) will strengthen their relationship. The Conference and BAPE will work together to create a limited-edition Big 12 x BAPE t-shirt that has the logos of each institution encircling the BAPE emblem. Around Municipal Auditorium and T-Mobile Center, videoboards and signs will also display the renowned BAPE camouflage marks. Previously, the Big 12 and BAPE collaborated for the 2022 Football Championship, designing a BAPE-themed camouflage Big 12 logo and installing it on endzone pylons, officials’ uniforms, and each 25-yard line.

Renowned performers will play the National Anthem at both the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship Games, with emerging talent Lanie Gardner playing at the Women’s Championship Game and Grammy Award-nominated artist Jordin Sparks playing at the Men’s Championship Game.

During the Women’s Basketball Championship, the Conference will collaborate with the NWSL squad from Kansas City, the KC Current. The KC Current Blue Crew, the club’s official fan club, will attend each of the women’s tournament games as a result of this partnership. A KC Current “takeover” will also be present for the semifinal games of the Women’s Basketball Championships on Saturday, March 11.

Hooper Turned Rapper DC The Don Rates NBA Stars’ Rap Bars

The rapper-hooper comparison might be a cliche, but cliches are cliches for a reason. It remains as true as ever: Rappers all want to be ballers and ballers all want to rap. Now, more than ever, the crossover (heh) has gotten ridiculous, blurring the lines between the two as former high school hoop stars like NLE Choppa and Quavo pen Billboard hits, and rap’s upper echelon guys get pro hoops co-signs from LeBron James like Lil Durk, sign pro contracts like J. Cole, or host their own in-home rec leagues like Drake.

Intriguingly enough, as more NBA stars dip their toes into rap careers, following in the footsteps of Shaq, Kobe, and Allen Iverson, it’s a little rarer to see ball players get serious about their rhymes. Of course, there’s Damian Lillard, who’s three albums deep into his career as Dame D.O.L.L.A., but for the most part, the current generation of NBA talent has yet to commit. Maybe they just need a little encouragement, and that’s where Milwaukee native/LA transplant DC The Don steps in.

The 6’7 rising rap star is best known for viral tracks like “Worst Day” and “Walk Thru,” but he’s probably just as well-known for his first song “Everything 1K” appearing in Big Baller Brand’s first sneaker commercial. That’s because he was a former Chino Hills High teammate of Lonzo Ball — another aspiring rhyme purveyor currently playing in the NBA — and his brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo. Obviously, DC went the other way, and so he’s willing to lend some of his expertise to rating NBA stars’ rap bars. Check out the video above.
