Joey Bada$$ Teases Serayah Relationship In Upcoming Music Video

This week, Empire actress Serayah revealed a few juicy things about her relationship life. For starters, she confirmed that her relationship with fellow actor Jacob Latimore was over. First getting together in 2016, Serayah and Latimore’s relationship was a favorite among fans. “Me and Jacob are no longer together.— Sadly we just grew apart and I love and respect his journey moving forward,” she said.

However, it seems she quickly transitioned to a new boo shortly while simultaneously announcing her breakup. Both Joey Bada$$ and Serayah each posted photos with each other on Instagram recently. Each succinctly captioning their posts with a heart, fans concluded that the rapper and actress could now be an item. Then, after going public with their new fling, Joey announced a new music video on the way. Set to drop on March 1, Joey plans to deliver the third music video for his 2022 album 2000. But, what makes the impending release of the “Show Me” video even more enticing is that his co-star is his brand new girlfriend.

Joey Bada$$ & Serayah On Screen

Joey posted the trailer for the “Show Me” music video on Feb. 28. Lasting less than 30 seconds, the clip shows Joey and Serayah fiddling with a camcorder while unpacking moving boxes. Asking him to show her how to use it, the clip ends at that point and fans will not be able to see the rest until March 1. The song samples “Show Me How,” a 2018 song from the Canadian band Men I Trust. One of the most enjoyable tracks on 2000, “Show Me” undoubtedly deserves the visual treatment.

With this video on the way, it likely solidifies the Joey Bada$$ and Serayah couple rumors even more. There’s no telling how long the two have been dating though. If they’ve been together since the video first began filming, it could be weeks by now. Considering this, the rollout of their romance on social media was timed perfectly. Revealing their relationship and then a video they collaborated on shortly after effectively manufactured buzz around the two stars. Now, we just have to wait and see how they perform in the new music video.

Serayah Confirms Her Break-Up With Jacob Latimore, Gets Cozy With Joey Bada$$

Amidst rumors circulating about power-couple Serayah and Jacob Latimore’s relationship, the 27-year-old actress finally has confirmed the end of an iconic era. The ex-couple first became official in 2016 after meeting at the BET Awards through mutual friends. After years of publically broadcasting their desirable relationship, the duo has finally called it quits. “Me and Jacob are no longer together.— Sadly we just grew apart and I love and respect his journey moving forward,” the Empire star said in a statement

Fans first started speculating about the rumor after Serayah was posted on Joey Bada$$’s Instagram yesterday (February 26). The two curled up next to each other in a seemingly lovey-dovey photograph taken at a restaurant. The post was met with confusion, with one user commenting, “this better be promo for something,” and another adding, “hearts breaking around the world.” Needless to say, many were not happy with Serayah’s shift of attention from Jacob to Joey.

Questions Arise After Joey Bada$$ Posts A Pic Of Serayah

While uncertainty was still circulating from the rapper’s post, Serayah cleared the air on Instagram live. Fans flooded her video with questions about her and the Maze Runner star dating, to which she responded, “no, I am not. I’m not anymore.” The live took a harsher tone when fans continued to bombard the California native with comments. “People think it is so easy to get on the platform and start talking s**t. So I’m just saying simmer down. That’s it,” she stated. Following the live, Serayah confirmed her new boo by posting her own picture with Joey on her Instagram. The post, which glamorously showcased the two stars holding each other on a bridge still sparked disillusionment from commentators, despite Serayah’s confirmation of her breakup.

Both Jacob and Serayah had previously been vocal about their relationship, even having a feature on BET’s Millennial Love Stories. During their episode, the couple optimistically depicted the origins of their relationship, and how they navigated publicizing their love with their growing careers. While dating, the pair was never shy of posting each other on their socials. Now, both Serayah and Jacob’s feeds are seemingly rid of one another. Are Joey Badass And Actress Serayah Dating?

Aside from the occasional past faux pas, Joey Badass has been relatively low-key on social media, letting his music do most of the talking for his public image. However, a recent post on his Instagram has prompted a flurry of speculative reactions from fans who think he might have revealed a rare personal detail.

In the post, Joey sits at a fancy-looking restaurant wearing a suit and a du-rag, getting cozy with actress/singer Serayah McNeill. Not only are they sitting extremely close together, but they’re also looking at each other with that instantly recognizable expression that says “let’s skip dessert and get straight to the fun part of the evening.”

The post has certainly inspired its fair share of breathless posts over in gossip blog land. Meanwhile, fans on Twitter were quick to express a variety of reactions ranging from disbelief to giddy excitement.

The two certainly have had time to get cozy in the past year, thanks to McNeill’s recurring role on Wu-Tang: An American Saga, on which Joey appeared as Inspectah Deck in its first season. However, he left the role in order to focus on his appearance in Power Book III: Raising Kanan — which is tied to McNeill’s own Black Mafia Family as both shows are produced by 50 Cent. Of course, this could also just be a promotion for a new project or release that Joey has coming out soon, as well. Time will tell.

In the meantime, Joey himself is set to appear on Logic’s new album College Park after releasing his own well-received album, 2000.

Serayah To Star In Quality Films Action-Thriller ‘Takeover’

Serayah

NAACP Image Award nominee Serayah (“Empire,” “BMF”) will star in the upcoming action-thriller Takeover, alongside Rap star and actor Quavo (“Atlanta,” Wash Me in the River) and Billy Zane (“The Boys”).

In the film, Serayah plays “Lt. Keisha Jenner,” the leader of a special task force assigned to apprehending jewel thieves. Level-headed and always by the book, she’s disgusted by Sheriff ‘Herc’ Hitchens’ willingness to play outside the lines. Keisha also is the childhood friend of Guy Miller (Quavo), a recent parolee who’s attempting to rehabilitate his life when circumstances propel him back into Atlanta’s dangerous takeover scene.
