Pete Carroll Cancels Seahawks Practice So Players Can Register to Vote

Pete Carroll is out as head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Carroll is expected to remain in the organization in a different role.

The Seahawks now join the Commanders, Chargers, Raiders, Panthers, Falcons, and Titans as teams with head coaching vacancies.

“After thoughtful meetings and careful consideration for the best interest of the franchise, we have amicably agreed with Pete Carroll that his role will evolve from Head Coach to remain with the organization as an advisor,” a statement from Seahawks’ owner Jody Allen reads.

Schefter also notes the Seahawks are looking to bring in Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as a potential replacement. Quinn lead worked with the team in 2009-2010 and 2013-14.

Who’s Performing The 2024 NFL Thanksgiving Games Halftime Shows?

It seems like just yesterday, music lovers were breaking a sweat outdoors at their favorite outdoor festival. Now, the Thanksgiving holiday has crept up on us.

As Mariah Carey’sAll I Want For Christmas Is You” and Brenda Lee’sRockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” fight it out on the music charts, families are preparing for a battle of their own. What television programming will hold everyone over until the turkey is served? This year, the National Football League (NFL) is looking to cover all bases as they do head-to-head with the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. So, who’s performing for the 2024 NFL Thanksgiving games halftime shows? Continue below to find out.

Jack Harlow — Packers vs. Lions

Jack Harlow will be there to break up the tension with some lighthearted entertainment as the Green Bay Packers take on the Detroit Lions at home. The game is set to start at 12:30 pm ET. Harlow will surely perform some of his more notable hits, but fans might be in luck as his latest single, “Lovin’ On Me,” just could make the setlist.

Dolly Parton — Commanders vs. Cowboys

The next big game slated to take place on Thanksgiving Day is the Washington Commanders versus the Dallas Cowboys. The Commanders hope to steal a win from the Cowboys on their home field. The match-up will kick off at 4:30 pm ET. For the halftime entertainer, none other than country-music-queen-turned-rocker Dolly Parton will perform a medley of her discography. She may have turned down the Super Bowl Halftime Show several times, but she couldn’t resist the Cowboys’ charm.

Steve Aoki — 49ers vs. Seahawks

The last face-off of the evening will be the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Kick-off for the showdown in the Seahawks’ backyard is scheduled for 8:20 pm ET. To pump up the jam, Steve Aoki is billed as the halftime performance. Aoki is a wiz with music technology, not such much on the AstroTurf (see his Red Sox and Houston Astros pitch). But, he’s looking to redeem himself in the eyes of sports fans with a few on-field plays of his own.

Jack Harlow is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Richard Sherman Claims Seattle Almost Ruined Wagner Deal

Richard Sherman isn’t afraid to grab the mic. The former Seattle Seahawk recently had a few things to say about his former team. Sherman discussed the team’s handling of bringing back Bobby Wagner to Seattle. Wagner, like Sherman, was a staple of a Seahawks defense that will go down as one of the greatest groups of all time. However, Sherman claims that the reunion of Wagner and the Seahawks almost didn’t happen.

In an interview with The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar, Sherman spoke on about his knowledge of the situation. “I was hoping that John [Schneider] didn’t mess it up, and he didn’t,” Sherman said. Sherman was hoping the Seattle GM didn’t “lowball” Wagner during discussions of his return. Sherman went on to say, “There’s a difference between lowballing and being disrespectful and they got borderline disrespectful. Thankfully, Bobby really wanted to be with the Seahawks, and he really wanted to come back home. Because other people offered him more money.” It does feel a little out of place for Sherman to be discussing contract details on a team he doesn’t work for.

Richard Sherman Glad To See Wagner Back In Seattle

Luckily for Seattle, Wagner and the organization worked out a deal. Sherman seems to be just looking out for a former teammate. The two shared many great seasons in Seattle. Including a Super Bowl ring and another Super Bowl appearance. In their tenure, the Seattle defense was known as “The Legion Of Boom.” A moniker that was well deserved by the fearsome unit. Richard Sherman and Bobby Wagner will forever be known as two greats to play their respective position.

It seems all is going right in Seattle at the moment. The team surprised everyone last season by sneaking into the playoffs during a supposed rebuild year. The rebuild seems to be on hold for the moment. The team recently re-signed starting QB Geno Smith, who excelled in 2022. Bobby Wagner’s return isn’t just for a retirement tour. But a chance to help this team build off of an incredible 2022. For the latest news inside the NFL, stay locked in with us here at HNHH.

Seattle Seahawks & DK Metcalf Spark Twitter Frenzy Over Shirtless Warm-Ups

These days, NFL players compete in arctic conditions during the holiday season. However, DK Metcalf and the Seattle Seahawks walked onto the 10-degree weather unfazed. They faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs with a breeze that felt below zero. Moreover, they walked onto the field shirtless for warm-up practices, as a way to send a message to their home-court opponents. With so many tough and buff players on the field, and it being so cold outside, Twitter was having a field day.

Meanwhile, their confidence and attitude reflected an important mentality and focus they need to tap into. They are right on the cusp of a playoff position at 7-7, but cannot afford to lose. The New York Giants, Washington Commandeers, and Detroit Lions are also hungry for an extra playoff spot, and there’s just a couple left.

Furthermore, these weathered conditions greatly impact the remaining Week 16 games. Moreover, the U.S. is undergoing an arctic blast, and below-freezing temperatures and brutal winds practically canceled certain games. The Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans delayed their game for an hour due to power outages in Nashville. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints will have to drive up to Cleveland to face the Browns in temperatures below zero.

Just to illustrate the cold these players deal with in addition to football, the Buffalo Bills will play the Chicago Bears with a -28.5 degree wind chill. The aforementioned Saints and Browns game forecasted at -15, and the Seahawks bared their chests in eight-degree weather or less.

Unfortunately, as soon as people were hyping the Seahawks up, Twitter was full of memes of their fumbles during the game as well. However, some were genuinely in jest, but the spectrum between butt-hurt fans and haters was narrow. “Never been more obvious the NFL does not want the Seahawks to succeed,” one user wrote.

“This drive is DK’s fault,” another stated. “Dumb hold on an 18 yard run. Don’t know what is wrong with him, all he does is make dumb mistakes.”

What do you think of the Seahawks’ powerful statement against the Chiefs? Let us know in the comments and check out some more reactions to their shirtless warm-up down below. Also, as always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest in NFL news, viral moments, and cold, cold games.

Seahawks’ DK Metcalf Hit With Fine Over Jalen Ramsey Incident

DK Metcalf has quickly become one of the most interesting wide receivers in the league. When he came into the league, many were concerned about his speed and route-running. After all, he has a very large frame for a wide receiver, and some felt like that would not translate to the NFL.

Subsequently, all of those detractors were proven wrong. Metcalf immediately made a huge impact on the Seahawks, and he is still one of their best players. Additionally, he is responsible for some pretty amazing highlights. Overall, fans of the team are very happy to have him.

DK Metcalf Fined Again

Just a couple of weeks ago, Metcalf found himself in a compromising situation as he was fined upwards of $30K. This was the result of his complaints in regard to the officiating. He was mad about a missed pass interference call, and the league office immediately hit him where it hurts.

Subsequently, Metcalf has been fined again. This time, however, it is for an on-the-field incident with Jalen Ramsey. While playing against the Los Angeles Rams last week, Metcalf head-butted Ramsey after some intense play. Consequently, the league office reviewed the footage and gave Metcalf a cool $10K fine.

For Metcalf, this punishment isn’t so bad considering he has already made a lot of money in the NFL. He signed a huge contract this offseason which gave him a $30 million signing bonus. Additionally, he is making over $8 million this season. Overall, he can definitely afford these latest punishments.

Let us know what you think of this latest fine, in the comments section down below. Also, stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

Normani & Seattle Seahawks Athlete DK Metcalf Have Flirty Instagram Exchange

The latest vocalist who appears to have found herself in the midst of a budding romance is “Fair” singer Normani. A recent flirtatious exchange between her and a certain NFL athlete was uploaded to @theshaderoom’s Instagram on Saturday (December 10). Since then, fans have been attempting to piece together the puzzle regarding the possible relationship.

Yesterday, Seattle Seahawks player DK Metcalf shared a photo dump full of selfies on his own profile. While most of them were ordinary snaps, on his last inclusion, the 24-year-old casually made it known that he and the Fifth Harmony alum are FaceTime buddies (when she answers his call, that is).

On the fifth slide, he looks down at his camera in disapproval after facing rejection from the performer. Above his head, we see the words “Normani, FaceTime unavailable written.”

Though her contact photo is small, it’s obvious that the Atlanta native is peacefully resting in bed in the image. Upon seeing her rumoured boo’s post, she only added fuel to the fire by commenting, “Now I know you don’t have me up here in my head scarf.”

While Metcalf didn’t publicly respond to Normani’s comment, it’s not unlikely that he shot her a flirtatious apology via text.

Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time these two have made headlines this year. As Bossip reports, the 26-year-old seemingly denied relationship gossip that was spreading like wildfire back in the summer.

At the time, Normani and Metcalf ate dinner together at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. They reportedly arrived separately but left in the same car. Paparazzi photos caught them walking closely together, but no PDA was shown at the time.

In response to the rumours that began spreading as a result, she quickly quoted Yung Miami on her IG Story. When someone on Twitter asked the City Girl if she was single earlier this year, she wrote back “Real bad.”

Since then, headlines regarding Metcalf and Normani have slowed down. However, the pair looks to be heating up just in time for cuffing season, much to the internet’s amusement.

What do you think of the rumoured new couple? Sound off in the comments, and check back later for more pop culture news updates.

SOURCE SPORTS: Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson Retires Due to Neck Injury

Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson has announced his retirement from the NFL. According to ESPN, Carson is retiring due to a neck injury. The Seahawks released Carson on Tuesday with a failed physical designation.

“Ever since the first time I saw Chris on film, I loved his style, and I was thrilled when we were able to get him when we did,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said in a statement. “To see him grow and become such an impacting part of our program with such a great style and all of that, it was a thrill to watch. We’ll miss him and everything he brought to our program.”

“He’s been an incredible pro, a guy who brings an amazing energy about him. His running style is what we’ve always wanted here in Seattle,” said Seahawks general manager John Schneider. “He’s the type of runner that the whole team feeds off of. The type of player defensive players get off the bench to watch him run –they can feel his energy. He’s the type of runner whose style affects the whole team, not just the offense.

“It’s a big disappointment. We took it as long as we possibly could with him, he saw a number of specialists, but unfortunately he wasn’t able to pass our physical.”

During his career, Carson had a stellar 2018 with 1,151 yards and nine touchdowns, making him Seattle’s first 1,000-yard rusher since Marshawn Lynch. He followed that year with another 1,000-yard season, bringing in 1,230 yards and seven touchdowns.

SOURCE SPORTS: Denver Broncos Land Russell Wilson From Seahawks in Blockbuster Trade

SeattleSeahawksFined$kforMishandlingRussellWilson'sPossibleConcussion

The Denver Broncos pulled off a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks to acquire Russell Wilson. The Broncos sent three players (Drew Lock, Shelby Harris, and Noah Fant), two first-rounders, two second-rounders, a fifth-rounder for Wilson, and a fourth-round pick.

The Broncos’ offense looks like this: Russell Wilson, Javonte Williams, Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, Jerry Jeudy, KJ Hamler, and Albert Okwuegbunam. The AFC West just became a murderous road loaded with elite quarterback play when you add Wilson to the mix with Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and David Carr.

Wilson will look to do what Peyton Manning did in Denver a few years ago, which wins a Super Bowl with the Broncos. This trade signals the end of Wilson and his time in Seattle.

Wilson has been with the Seahawks since they drafted him in the 3rd round in 2012, and he led them to a victory over the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII just a few years later. Wilson and the Seahawks have been to the playoffs every year since he was drafted, except for just two seasons (2017 and 2021).
