Swizz Beatz’s Health Scare Had Doctors Saying He’d Never Walk Again

Swizz Beatz is one of the most revered hip-hop producers in the genre, and it’s crazy to think that his career might’ve been wildly different at one point. Moreover, he recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and spoke on a health scare earlier in his career that made doctors think he’d never walk again. Furthermore, said scare occurred because, to put it simply, the Bronx native was just working too hard. However, he remarked how he was able to rise above and continue developing his now legendary career, and how that experience gave him a different perspective.

“When you come from nothing, and you finally get success, [you] get a piece of what you thought you could never get from your surroundings,” Swizz Beatz told Hudson. “We just have a habit of going hard as men, you know, and it caught up to me. I remember staying up for four days straight just over-pushing it. It messed up my immune system — I had spinal meningitis. And I remember going to the hospital, and the doctor was cold. He was cold as ice.

Swizz Beatz’s Career Almost Faced A Massive Obstacle

“As soon as I walked in, he said, ‘okay, you might not die, but you’ll never walk again,’” Swizz Beatz continued. “That was the first thing they said to me when I went into the hospital. But I was in so much pain, I was like, ‘Let’s get on to it.’ But, Alhamdulillah [Praise be to Allah], I came back, and I beat the odds with that one. And now, I try to take my health a little bit more serious.” What’s more is that this isn’t the only surreal story the 44-year-old recently told.

“Man, honestly, it don’t even feel like [DMX] is gone,” he told The Breakfast Club. “It just feels like he’s away, somewhere chillin’. And then the anniversary will come around or I’ll speak to his fiancée or I’ll speak to his son and I’m like, ‘Whoa.’ Or I’ll see a video or I’ll scroll through my phone and see pictures and it’ll hit me. But the thing that makes me feel easy about it is he came to me. I seen him in my dream. He came to me. And this was, like, super quick too. And he let me know he was good. I’m the person that is like, ‘He ain’t come to see you, what you talkin’ about?’ I seen him. I felt him, I can smell like- I just couldn’t hear him talk.” Come back to HNHH for the latest on Swizz Beatz.

Danny Brown & JPEGMAFIA’s Collab Album Gets Release Date

Danny Brown & JPEGMAFIA’s upcoming collab album just got a leaked release date of March 24th. According to online discussion and alleged leaks, they’ll drop two new singles for the project on March 13th and 21st, respectively. Of course, a lot of these rumors come from leaks and not directly from the artists, so take them with a grain of salt. Still, there is a lot we do know about the album that Peggy and Danny confirmed previously. For example, they teased “Lean Beef Patty” as the first single, the album is completed, and yes, that is the legit title.

Following these teases on The Danny Brown Show (plus a killer snippet), some new information spread on Twitter this week. Not only did those release dates seemingly leak, but we have a tracklist and cover art to inspect. Some standouts from the tracklist are “Steppa Pig,” “Shut Yo B***h A** Up / Muddy Waters,” and “Jack Harlow Combo Meal.” Again, take these titles as truth with caution, but they sound quite in line with their sense of humor. After all, one of Peggy’s most well-known songs is “Jesus Forgive Me, I Am A Thot.”

Danny Brown & JPEGMAFIA’s Collab Album Is Coming Soon

Even though many of these details are still online speculation, fans know that this project will bring some absolute heat. Moreover, both artists will apparently drop three album each this year, including their collab. On his end, Peggy’s already expressed that he’s in solo album mode after finishing Scaring The H*es. On the other hand, Danny’s found incredible success through his extracurricular endeavors: shows, streaming, podcasts, you name it. Still, don’t get it twisted: he remains one of the hardest rappers working today.

If you’ve never gotten into either artist, this outing might actually be a great place to start. They both bring incredibly raw energy and a strong charisma, and mix chronic Internet use with grimy hip-hop. While these incredible MCs seem ready to take on the world, there’s no way we’re ready for what they crafted. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Danny Brown and JPEGMAFIA.
