Lil Nas X Performs “Down Souf Hoes” Feat. Saucy Santana At Lollapalooza Ahead Of Song’s Debut

Lil Nas X is trending once again, as he hits the stage at Lollapalooza. The outspoken artist is known for putting on high-energy and jaw-dropping shows. Additionally, many are aware of his racy and sometimes controversial approach to his career. Since 2019, Nas has been steadily climbing the ladder of success, constantly bringing something new and interesting to the table during his performances. His set at this weekend’s festival was no different. Currently, fans are going crazy with excitement after he sang an unreleased song featuring Saucy Santana.

Titled “Down Souf Hoes,” the infectious tune brings everything you would expect from this duo. The song is not technically a new one, as Lil Nas X and Santana performed it together in late 2022. Unfortunately, it has yet to become publicly available on any streaming service. After his latest performance, however, listeners are now demanding an actual release of the joint effort ASAP. Their demands may be met this summer, as the Atlanta native has plans to release a new project that will include his work with his contemporary.

Lil Nas X Twerks to “Down Souf Hoes”

Santana, best known for his TikTok favourite, “Material Girl,” first started as a makeup artist for the City Girls, JT and Yung Miami. The same year that Lil Nas X started to blow up, the Connecticut native began his rapping career. His first hit was “Walk ‘Em Like a Dog,” and he has carved out a lane for himself in the industry as an openly LGBT artist. Not many people were surprised when Santana linked up with Nas to create music. Both creatives have a similar style, as well as a shared love for makeup and fashion.

While Lil Nas X hopes to be dropping his new album in the summer, no official release date has been confirmed. However, most people are expecting his sophomore effort (along with the long-awaited “Down Souf Hoes”) to drop during Pride season. Seeing as the MONTERO hitmaker has always been very open about his sexuality in his music, it would make sense for him to wait until June. Check back later for any updates on a potential release date.

DJ Akademiks loves to get himself involved in a conflict. As a result, it appears as though an unexpected beef is unraveling before our eyes.

As it usually does, the drama began to ensue when Akademiks took to his Twitch stream. Addressing a tweet from Saucy Santana, the media personality saw a chance to ignite some friction.

Considering the “Material Girl” rapper is always active on Twitter, of course he noticed a tweet from a fan. “I can’t wait for @SaucySantana to DRAG @Akademiks when he sees him. Stop playing about his best friend @YungMiami305,” they wrote.

The post was in response to the recent drama surrounding Diddy and his girlfriend, Yung Miami. After welcoming a baby with Dana Tran, rumors began circulating that the 28-year-old is just a side chick to the “Bad Boy for Life” rapper. However, the Circoc promoter has since cleared the air.

The City Girls rapper and the 2022 XXL Freshman are certainly known to be close friends, so they have each other’s back amidst the drama.

Santana went on to agree with the Twitter user, indicating that Akademiks is never seen outside. “We outside tho!!!” he continued.

While on Twitch, the former Everyday Struggle co-host rudely replied to the 29-year-old’s remarks, reminding him he’s a man.

“I beg for you to try to say I’m not outside ‘cause I will be, and I beg for you to try to step to me,” the media personality taunted despite streaming from his basement.

In a string of tweets following Akademik’s response, Santana is evidently not holding back as he continues to diss the 31-year-old.

“I just landed in LA! You a twitch b*tch! At home in a room full of corn chips! Screaming & spitting in a mic,” he wrote. “I know imma MAN everyday when I wake up… that still ain’t gon make u do shit,” the “Material Girl” rapper continued.

Regardless of what happens, the XXL freshman is not backing down.

Clearly, Akademiks is in a fighting mood recently. He additionally said he’ll fight Lil Baby in a recent live stream. This arrives following the Atlanta rapper mentioning him on one of his new tracks, “From Now On” earlier in the year.

“Akademiks know he ain’t as rich as me,” he raps in response to the media personality formerly claiming otherwise.

Elsewhere on Baby’s third studio album, It’s Only Me, he consequently sends a threat. “Akademiks n****s think they can’t get touched/ I don’t be on computers much, CED turnt me on to YouTube,” the 28-year-old raps on “Top Priority.”

It will certainly be interesting to see how this unfolds and who will check Akademiks next.

Finally, who do you think would win in a fight between Akademiks and Saucy Santana if they eventually square up? Comment down below and make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates.

Saucy Santana’s Bouncy New Single ‘I’m Too Much’ Keeps His Stellar 2022 Going

Saucy Santana’s stellar breakout year continues with another new potential hit, “I’m Too Much.” Picking up where his fan-favorite tracks “Walk,” “Material Gworllllllll!,” and “Here We Go” left off, Santana stunts all over a bouncy beat, telling off his haters with a clipped, flouncy flow. “Bitch, I got too much drip,” he snorts. “Hatin’ ass hoes got too much lip / Talkin’ big sh*t under all my pics / Mad ’cause your body don’t hit like this.” Santana is clearly making the most of his moment.

And what a moment it has been. After receiving co-signs from fellow Miami artists like City Girls and Rick Ross, Santana’s ever-increasing popularity led to a slot in the 2022 XXL Freshman Class, just after he dropped his Beyonce-sampling hit single “Booty” featuring former Freshman Latto. His rising profile led to him premiering “I’m Too Much” at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards along with a performance of “Booty,” with his Renni Rucci collaboration “Money” popping up in the season finale of HBO’s Rap Sh!t — which, fittingly, is also based in Miami.

Santana hasn’t announced a follow-up to his 2021 album Keep It Playa yet, but that just gives fans more time to get familiar before he really takes off now that he’s signed to RCA Records (like his bestie Latto). For now, check out “I’m Too Much” above.
