Perk went in on the Defensive Player of the Year, blaming the Timberwolves’ losses on the Frenchmen.

After the last game, Perkins sent out a tweet about Rudy Gobert. he wrote in the tweet,”I just don’t understand how Gobert go from DPOY to a defensive liability. I mean damn!” The Denver Nuggets MVP Nikola Jokic had his way with Gobert. To Be fair, no one can stop Jokic. The game plan for Nikola was to go at Rudy Gobert as much as possible, and it clearly worked. Perkins is confounded as to why Gobert is overmatched when he is supposed to be the best defensive player in the league.

Perkins said Gobert needs to step up as the DPOY. Perk asserted, “Isn’t Rudy Gobert the DPOY? Why is it all the time he’s the DPOY in the regular season but he’s a defensive liability come playoff time?” The stats don’t really back up Rudy being the root of the problem. When Gobert is playing in the playoffs, the Wolves are +15.9 points per 100 possessions; when he is not, they are -4.9. That means that they are a better team overall when he is on the court. Perk is going off the eye test, and it doesn’t look good when Jokic is toying with the DPOY. No one can “stop” Jokic, even Rudy.

Tonight is a crucial game for both teams. The Timberwolves, having lost two straight, need to win this one, or it is very unlikely that they win two in a row. Despite the Timberwolves dropping two straight losses, the series has been very entertaining. Denver really responded like Champions. Jokic has reminded everyone why he is a three-time MVP. Rudy Gobert Feels “Empathy” For Draymond Green Following Suspension

Rudy Gobert has extended an olive branch to Draymond Green after the Warriors veteran was indefinitely suspended by the NBA. “I have empathy for him. You see somebody that’s not well inside and suffering. Why Was Draymond Green Suspended?

Draymond Green was “suspended indefinitely” by the NBA after being ejected against the Suns earlier this week. Per the NBA’s statement on the decision, the suspension “takes into account Green’s repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts.” Furthermore, “He will be required to meet certain league and team conditions before he returns to play,” the league added. Green received his 18th career ejection, and third of the season, for striking the Suns’ Jusuf Nurkić in the face with a spinning backhand early in the third quarter of Tuesday’s game.

While Green did apologize for the incident, the NBA has chosen to come down hard on the veteran. The Warriors will meet with Green and his agent, Rich Paul, to devise a rehabilitative program to help Green return to the court. Furthermore, a source told ESPN that the Warriors had “lost their leverage for disciplining” Green after not adequately punishing him after he punched Jordan Poole last season. However, sources also told the outlet that Green is open to getting “whatever help he needs” to “overcome the challenges he is facing.”

Draymond Green Suspended Five Games For Rudy Gobert Chokehold

Draymond Green has received a five-game suspension after placing Rudy Gobert in a chokehold during a brawl earlier this week. According to a statement given by the NBA, Green’s suspension was a result of the Warriors veteran “escalating an on-court altercation” by “forcibly grabbing” Gobert in “an unsportsmanlike and dangerous manner.” Furthermore, the league noted that Green’s history of unsportsmanlike conduct contributed to the length of the suspension. Green has previously been suspended four times for a total of four games. However, this latest suspension nearly doubles his total number of suspended games. Green’s last suspension came earlier this year as a result of stomping on Domantas Sabonis during a playoff game.

Meanwhile, Gobert, along with Klay Thompson and Jaden McDaniels, received $25,000 fines for their role in the brawl that occurred less than two minutes into Tuesday’s game. However, none of the three will miss any time, despite Thompson and McDaniels also being ejected. Green’s five-game suspension means he will miss a doubleheader against Oklahoma City, as well as games against the Suns, Rockets, and Spurs. He will next be available to play in a road game against the Kings on November 28.

Don’t look for Rudy Gobert to be alongside his Minnesota Timberwolves teammates when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers. According to ESPN, the center has been suspended one game for punching his teammate Kyle Anderson during a team huddle.

The Wolves take on the Lakers in the play-in game with the hopes of making the NBA playoffs. If the Wolves lose, he would be available for the second play-in game when the Wolves take on either the Oklahoma City Thunder or New Orleans Pelicans.

The moment was sparked by a verbal altercation. Gobert was reportedly told “shut the f— up, b—-” and that’s what led to the attack. Gobert issued an apology via Twitter.

“Tempers flare, you’re in the middle of a game, a game we all want to win, a huge one, it is what it is,” Anderson said. “You know, s— happens. It’s not the first time something like that has happened.”

Anderson and Gobert reportedly talked through the incident. The Wolves will play the Lakers on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on TNT.
