Post Malone Brought Out 21 Savage During His Electrifying Performance At The 2023 NBA All-Star Game

It was a Malone-heavy weekend at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah. Denver Nuggets coach Mike Malone coached Team LeBron, Utah Jazz legend Karl Malone was in the building to take in the sights, and the NBA tapped Post Malone to deliver a pre-game performance yesterday (February 19).

After being introduced by Slam Dunk Contest champion Mac McClung, Malone started his brief set with “Wow,” performing the track through smiles and high-fives with fans in the front rows. Then, backed by fiery pyrotechnics, he brought out 21 Savage to join him on their former No. 1 hit, “Rockstar.”

There was a lot of music at All-Star Weekend beyond Malone and Savage. Also pre-game, Jully Black sang “O Canada” and made a change to the country’s national anthem. Utah native Jewel also came through with “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Savage also played in the celebrity game earlier in the weekend, which also featured Janelle Monáe, Cordae, Kane Brown, Ozuna, and Nicky Jam.

Rapper Dame D.O.L.L.A. (who some might know better as Damian Lillard) showed out during the game and ended up being one of its leading scorers with 26 points. Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum won the game’s MVP award.

Post Malone and 21 Savage Team for NBA All-Star Game Opening Performance

The 2023 NBA All-Star weekend is in the books. After JAY-Z’s opening video and before the players took the court, Post Malone and 21 Savage delivered a performance of their hit single “Rock Star.” The single was part of a medley of additional Post Malone singles.

Late last year, Post Malone’s single, “Sunflower,” which features Swae Lee, became the highest-certified single in the history of RIAA. The new single is officially 17x platinum.

Post Malone Joins ‘Impractical Jokers’ To Hotbox A Stranger’s Car In A Risky New Episode

Post Malone has been having a lot of fun lately. Earlier this month, he drank beer from a fan’s shoe in Australia; in November, he officiated a wedding between two fans on stage in Seattle. There was also the time last year he brought mayhem to Seth Meyers while they went day drinking together, and now the famous rapper is causing trouble with other celebrities.

Post Malone joined forces with the notorious Impractical Jokers crew, who are known for playing pranks on each other in New York and seeing how much they can get away with. In a new clip, the “Circles” singer gets out of a car in a parking garage and says, “Thanks for letting me smoke that up in there, man,” as a big cloud of smoke comes from the inside of the vehicle.

In an extended video on Billboard, Post Malone adds, “Give it about five to ten if you guys don’t want the contact high.” To make matters worse, the car belongs to a woman who claims she’s allergic to tobacco. “Oh, don’t worry about that, it’s not tobacco,” Q says, prompting laughs from the others.

The episode airs on truTV and TBS on Thursday, February 16 at 10 pm ET.

Post Malone Denied Entry At A Hotel Bar For Surprising Reason

While touring with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Post Malone found himself down under. The “Rockstar” singer was just trying to enjoy some drinks at the QT Hotel’s rooftop bar in Perth, Western Australia when he was turned away, despite his fame and success. The reason? Posty’s face tattoos. As it turns out, it doesn’t matter if you are an A-Lister with multiple award wins under your name. The QT Hotel adheres to strict dress codes that are against “face, neck, and offensive tattoos,” even if you are a top-charting artist. Posty noted that this is the first time he has been denied entry for being tatted, according to Consequence.net

With a growing list of over 75 tattoos, Post’s grungy meets eccentric style continues to stand out. On his face alone, he rocks barbed wire alongside the phrases “Stay Away” and “Always Tired.” The New York native is recognized internationally for his tattoos and continues to add to his one-of-a-kind ink collection. Lucky for Post, he was easily able to recuperate the energy of the night. Alongside his entourage, the group switched gears by kicking back with local fans at 18 Knots, another nearby bar.

Post Malone Explains What His Tats Mean

The QT Hotel eventually did issue an apology, telling the DailyMail “at QT, we aim to welcome everyone and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual.” Furthermore, they state, “our third-party security did not exercise the appropriate discretion, and we take full responsibility for this. We sincerely apologize to the individuals affected.” While the half-hearted apology hints at admiring individuality, it’s unclear as to why the organization maintains such rigid rules.

Last summer, Post released his latest album Twelve Carat Toothache, which earned him number two on the US Billboard’s 200. Prior to his Australia shows, he toured the album with Roddy Rich as the opening act. It’s unlikely that such an incident will discourage this rockstar, who already has exciting plans coming up in the next few months. As his stadium run with the Red Hot Chili Peppers ended this week, he’s headed back to the states to perform at BottleRock 2023 in Napa Valley.

Post Malone’s Tattoos Were Apparently Unacceptable At One Australian Bar

Post Malone is a multifaceted entertainer. His multiplatinum music — most recently, Twelve Carat Toothache — can sometimes be an afterthought. That’s a credit to his personality, not a knock on his artistry.

Posty’s headlining Twelve Carat Toothache Tour involved an on-stage gender reveal and a wedding, and he brought his showmanship as a supporting act on Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Australian stadium run that wrapped last night, February 12.

Post drank beer from a fan’s shoe while performing in Sydney, Australia’s Accor Stadium on February 5. Unfortunately, he was not allowed to enjoy a drink at QT Perth’s rooftop bar this weekend because of his signature facial ink.

“They turned me away for my tattoos. I’ve never really experienced anything like that,” Post told The West Australian, which also relayed the QT rooftop dress standards lists “face, neck and offensive tattoos” as “strictly not permitted.”

The QT issued an apology to the publication: “At QT, we aim to welcome everyone and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual. QT has recognized this for many years. However, on Saturday night, our third-party security did not exercise the appropriate discretion and we take full responsibility for this. We sincerely apologize to the individuals affected.”

Post added to his ink collection last October with a tattoo reportedly honoring his infant daughter on his forehead.

As a GQ cover star in 2020, the 27-year-old star bluntly described why he started getting so many tattoos in the first place, especially on his face.

“I’m a ugly-ass motherf*cker,” he said back then. “It does maybe come from a place of insecurity, to where I don’t like how I look, so I’m going to put something cool on there so I can look at myself and say, ‘You look cool, kid,’ and have a modicum of self-confidence, when it comes to my appearance.”

Post Malone Got A Kick Out Of Drinking Beer From A Fan’s Shoe At A Recent Show

Post Malone did not have the easiest time touring last year while promoting his new album Twelve Carat Toothache. The “Better Now” performer took too many tumbles at his concerts, first in St. Louis and then again in Atlanta. Luckily, there have been some good news to make up for those falls since, such as when he officiated a wedding between two fans onstage in Seattle.

Malone looks like he’s been having more fun doing gigs this year. In Sydney, Australia on Sunday, February 5 at the Accor Stadium, the rapper gave the crowd what they wanted: A shoey, which means he drank beer from a fan’s shoe. “How did we get here?” he said into the microphone while pouring a red solo cup into a sneaker. Video of it was caught by an audience member who posted it to TikTok. After chugging it, he can be seen bowing to the crowd.

Malone is often engaged in shenanigans. Last year Celtics guard Marcus Smart talked about playing the musician in beer pong: “Yeah, I played him. I won one game, but I went five in a row the last game! […] He’s really good. He kept telling me to call [Celtics President Of Basketball Operations] Brad [Stevens] for him, though. Every shot he made, he was like, ‘Call Brad, sign me up, give me the 10-day [contract]!’”

Post Malone’s Rep Denies That He’s Sick Or On Drugs After Alarming Performance Video

Post Malone fans expressed their concern for the singer this week. The singer is currently in Australia for several shows but a recent video of her performance alarmed fans. Post Malone lost significant weight. However, his on-stage movements left many believing that he could be struggling with health issues. Some suspected that he was battling an illness while others suggested he was struggling with addiction.

A rep for the singer spoke to TMZ to confirm that he’s neither sick nor addicted to any substances. Apparently, his weight loss came after he gained weight for a movie role. Since he wrapped up filming, Post committed himself to a strict diet and workout regimen. Additionally, the rep said Post has been touring relentlessly since September, doing 90-minute sets each night. Touring also played a big role in weight loss.

In addition to the rep’s statement, Post Malone’s father also chimed in. He confirmed that Post Malone is in the best form he’s been in for a long time. “Healthiest he’s been in years! Mentally and physically,” he commented on a post. Needless to say, fans were relieved to find out that Post Malone was actually in better shape than he appeared on stage during his recent concerts.

Post Malone is currently on tour in support of his latest project, Twelve Carat Toothache. His new project boasted 14 songs in total with appearances from Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, The Weeknd, Gunna, and The Kid Laroi. He went on the road in America throughout the tail end of 2022 with Roddy Ricch as his opening act. At this point, he doesn’t have many tour dates in the U.S. in 2023 but he will be performing at Bottle Rock Napa Valley 2023 in California on May 26th.

In other Post-related news, new reports emerged revealing that he’ll appear in season 10 of Impractical Jokers. Apparently, Post and Brian Quinn nearly got arrested while filming a prank. Quinn explained that they pretended to be parking attendants at a lot in NYC. At one point, they pulled a prank on someone who actually called the cops. However, the person was, fortunately, a fan of the show and laughed it off.

Post Malone Nearly Arrested While Filming “Impractical Jokers” Episode

Police nearly booked Post Malone while filming a new episode of Impractical Jokers. According to the New York Post, the singer was filming a prank with Brian “Q” Quinn in New York City. Post Malone and Quinn pretended to be parking attendants at Little Man Parking on E. 22nd Street when they came across one individual who wasn’t necessarily impressed by the prank.

Little Man Parking knew that Impractical Jokers and Post Malone were filming. However, Malone was nearly in hot water after pretending to smoke weed in a customer’s vehicle. “Boss, thanks for letting me smoke that up in there, man,” he told Quinn in front of the customer. At the same time, Malone began coughing as smoke crept out of the car.

James “Murr” Murray confirmed that police nearly arrived on the scene after an angry customer almost dialed 911. Fortunately, they turned out to be familiar with the show. “Thankfully they were fans of the show,” said James “Murr” Murray. “We almost got Q and Post Malone arrested.”

Another customer of Little Man Parking turned out to be a fan of the show but he actually called the police on Post Malone and Quinn. However, they told the person that he was on a hidden-camera prank show and he wasn’t as mad anymore. “The guy who called the cops actually had a very generous attitude about it once we told him what was going on,” Quinn explained.

Season 10 of Impractical Jokers will undoubtedly be a major return for the cast. Over the past few years, they shot a large chunk of the show in New Jersey on controlled sets. However, this time, they’ll be back in the streets of New York City. “You’re gonna see us in New York City supermarkets again and delis and like all the places that we used to,” said Quinn. “We were able to shoot back in Tompkins Square Park.”

Besides the recent shoot, Post Malone is currently on the road for a set of dates in Australia. The artist performs in Dockland, AUS on Feb. 7th and 9th before heading over to Burswood for a single date on Feb. 12th. He currently has one sole U.S. date on May 26th for BottleRock Napa Valley. Hopefully, he’ll announce more U.S dates in the near future.
