Murda Beatz, Anitta, J Balvin, Quavo, And Pharrell Party In Miami In Their New Single, ‘No Mas’
Super producer Murda Beatz is keeping the heat on this summer. On his latest single, “No Mas,” Murda delivers a sexy, summery, string-infused beat, and is joined by Quavo, J Balvin, and Anitta as they each deliver fiery verses.
Quavo’s verse is the only one completely in English, as the Migo proclaims, “Migo don’t know Spanish, but my ‘migos got them tings.” Perhaps this shall put those rumors of a split to rest. Balvin delivers the following verse, ready to stake claim to Miami as a party lord. Delivering a powerful bridge is Brazilian superstar Anitta, embracing the fact that she is not only a pop icon in her home country but internationally.
The song’s music video, directed by Jackson Tisi, shows Murda, Quavo, Balvin, and Anitta partying it up in Miami.
It is worth noting that Pharrell doesn’t have any singing or rapping parts on the song, but co-produced it with Murda. He also does not appear in the video. However, those with a good ear can faintly hear one of his signature four-count starts beneath Murda’s famous “Murda on the beat, so it’s not nice” tag.
“It’s a record I’m excited about,” said Murda in a statement, “bringing four different worlds together; America, Colombia, Brazil, and Canada. And, of course, having the chance to work alongside a legendary producer like Pharrell is incredible. It’s just the perfect record for the summer”

Murda Beatz Announces His New ‘Summer Anthem,’ ‘No Más,’ Featuring Quavo, J Balvin, Anitta, And Pharrell
As the weather warms up and music fans spend more time outside in the coming months, the prevailing sounds of our playlists look to shift from the chilly, downtempo mood music of autumn and winter to the upbeat, tropical styles that soundtrack poolside shindigs and rooftop day parties. Murda Beatz has announced his contribution to this trend, “No Más,” coming on July 8. The Canadian producer has enlisted his own “summer anthem” Avengers to assist with the vibe-setting, including Anitta, J Balvin, Pharrell, and Quavo.
In addition, the song will be accompanied by a video that follows the crew as they say, “F*ck it, let’s head to Miami,” which is, of course, one of the premier warm-weather destinations and the perfect visual companion to a song with so much Latin flavor. No doubt the new musical direction for the frequent Drake collaborator was at least partially inspired by one of his collaborators in particular; in addition to working on music together, Murda and Anitta recently went Instagram official as romantic partners.
“No Más” is out on 7/8 via Warner Records. Pre-save it here.

Pusha T And No Malice Perform Together As Clipse For The First Time Since 2010 At Something In The Water
Clipse, the duo of brothers Pusha T and No Malice, enjoyed its initial run from 1992 to 2010. While the pair took some time apart in the years following, they’ve staged a bit of a reunion in recent years, which kicked off when they featured on Kanye West’s 2019 song “Use This Gospel.” They’ve since hopped on other tracks together, but before this weekend, there had not yet been a live reunion on stage.
That was actually supposed to happen at Pharrell’s Something In The Water festival in 2020, which was ultimately canceled in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The fest also didn’t go on in 2021 but it did finally return this weekend. While Clipse wasn’t listed on the festival lineup, they did actually stage their reunion this time around, as part of the Pharrell & Phriends set. For their time on stage (about 18 minutes), they did “Mr. Me Too,” Birdman’s “What Happened To That Boy,” “Cot Damn,” and wrapped up with “Grindin’.”
Even before this, 2022 has been a good year for Clipse. In 1999, the pair was ready to release their debut album, Exclusive Audio Footage, but it was ultimately shelved by the label. This year, though, the LP finally hit streaming services. On top of that, Pusha landed his first No. 1 album with It’s Almost Dry.

Pharrell Pays Off Five Students’ Debts At An NAACP Panel
Over the past two years, student debt has become a hot-button issue, in part because of certain campaign promises made by Joe Biden during his successful bid for the Presidency. While conservative commentators have railed against debt forgiveness — mostly to oppose Democrats, despite the policy’s overwhelming popularity among voters — others have taken matters into their own hands. In 2019, Vista Equity founder and billionaire Robert F. Smith paid off the tuition of the entire Morehouse University graduating class. Now, Pharrell Williams, in an attempt to lead by example, has done the same for five student leaders of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
During a Friday panel on the student debt crisis for Black scholars at the St. Regis Hotel in Washington, DC, Pharrell announced he was paying off all student debt for students of Southern University, Howard, and Florida A&M, as well as alumni of North Carolina AT, and Norfolk State. The panel’s organizer, NAACP National Director of Youth and College Wisdom Cole, said, “Pharrell forever changed their lives. This was a powerful moment. Now just imagine if President Biden made this a reality for all student debt holders in America.”
Meanwhile, NCAAP President and CEO Derrick Johnson posted photos of the youth leaders as they learned of their debt cancelation on Twitter, imploring President Biden, “It’s your turn now to do the same for all Americans plagued by student debt.” Hours later, Pharrell kicked off his Something In The Water Festival, where he’s set to perform with Clipse, Justin Timberlake, SZA, and more.
Priceless. The moment 5 young NAACP leaders learn @Pharrell is cancelling all their student debt.@POTUS, it’s your turn now to do the same for all Americans plagued by student debt. pic.twitter.com/hAQWh0wW0a

Right after @Pharrell surprised young NAACP leaders by paying off ALL their student debt, someone asked “what are you going to do now?”
One student tearfully responded, “I’m going to law school.”
This is what it’s about—unlocking opportunities for those historically oppressed.

Pharrell and Chad Hugo, ‘The Neptunes,’ Inducted Into The Songwriters Hall of Fame
Pharrell and Chad Hugo, a.k.a., The Neptunes, are one of the biggest production groups of all time, having produced for many hip hop, R&B, and pop acts mainly across the 1900s and 2000s. In 2020, they were announced, alongside Mariah Carey and The Isley Brothers, to be inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame. Last night, the actual ceremony took place and the group was formally inducted.
The Neptunes induction included a special performance from Usher, whom they produced a few tracks on his 2001 album 8701. Following the ceremony, Pharrell spoke to a reporter about being inducted, calling it a “huge honor.”
“It’s a huge honor. You’ve heard that all night on this carpet, it really is. The immense sense of gratitude that I feel is probably taking over everything in terms of like the being in it-ness. I’m failing at that because I always have delayed reactions, so 2-3 days from now I’ll be like whoa I was really in the room with like the Eurythmics and Ronald Isley. It’ll probably hit me by then but right now it’s kinda like oh wow.”
This was only the start of Pharrell’s weekend. The superproducer’s “Something In The Water” festival starts today, June 17, with performances by Tyler, The Creator, Usher, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Clipse, Justin Timberlake, SZA, Anderson .Paak and more.
