Patrick Beverley Blames Music For The Ja Morant Situation

Patrick Beverley is one of the latest players to get their very own podcast. Beverley has had his podcast on Barstool Sports since the beginning of the season, and overall, it has been a decent success. Beverley is known for being one of the more entertaining players in the league, so a podcast just makes sense for him. Moreover, he is a polarizing figure, which means both fans and haters are always going to tune in. For Dave Portnoy, hiring Beverley was a no-brainer.

One of the biggest topics in the NBA right now involves none other than Ja Morant. Of course, Beverley has been tasked with speaking on this issue. Although he has never played with Morant, he can still speak to the situation. He has been around the NBA for over a decade, and he has some strong opinions on what could be going on here. During the latest episode of the Barstool Rundown, Beverley blamed the Morant situation on music.

Patrick Beverley Weighs In

“I think music has a lot to do with this now,” Beverley said. “… The culture now is ‘shoot them up, bang, bang, shoot them up, bend you over, I got this amount of money, I’m on private jets, that that that.’ That’s what the younger generation is. Sadly to say it shouldn’t be based on our music, but it is mostly based on what we listen to and that’s how it is.” Overall, this is a controversial statement to make. Blaming hip-hop for violence is a playbook that has been used since the 90s. However, many would disagree with the premise entirely. Regardless, that did not stop Beverley from voicing his opinion.

At this point, there really is no point trying to blame the Morant situation on one particular facet of life and culture. Now, Morant is getting help, and that is all that should matter. While his actions were clearly wrong, the only thing he can do now is rehabilitating himself and change for the better. Let us know what you think of Beverley’s comments, in the comments below. Patrick Beverley Claims He Wanted Lakers To Trade Him

Patrick Beverley is someone who is not afraid to speak his mind, whether that be out on the court, or on his podcast. Overall, Beverley is one of those players who is known for being a gritty guy. His trash talk is next level, and he is a hard person to play against. However, in the last couple of years, some have felt that Beverley does too much talking for someone who doesn’t make a big impact on the score sheet. Nevertheless, there are plenty of teams out there who still think he is worth signing.

That is exactly what we saw at the trade deadline as Beverley was sent to the Orlando Magic. Although the Magic decided to buy out his deal, Beverley immediately found a new home. The point guard signed with the Chicago Bulls, and he even had the Golden State Warriors calling his phone. Most reporting around the Beverley trade noted that it was the Lakers who were shopping him around. On his podcast, however, Beverley made the claim that it was he who requested a move out of L.A.

Patrick Beverley Tells All

“Tell the viewers what really, really, went down in LA,” Beverley said. “I don’t mean cup of tea type of shit, but you know, you know. To some people, it could be that Pat Bev got traded when all reality I didn’t like what was going on, and let’s find a better home for me. Not so, that he ain’t good enough let’s get rid of him. All that shit was my decision. So, you gotta think, I’m making the decision, it was my decision, they honored my request, but at the same time, I’m sitting here without a home.”

This is definitely an interesting revelation, although it is hard to tell if he being truthful here. Beverley is known to embellish, and the Lakers did seem pretty excited to get rid of him at the deadline. Regardless, these comments made it clear that there was some dysfunction within that Lakers locker room. Let us know what you think about all of this, down below. Patrick Beverley Sends Warning To The Lakers

Patrick Beverley started the season on the Los Angeles Lakers. Initially, fans were very excited to have him on the team thanks to his toughness and defense. However, he was unable to live up to some of the expectations. Moreover, with the Lakers floundering in the Western Conference, it became clear that the team just needed to move on. Consequently, the team shopped him around at the deadline. The Orlando Magic eventually took him in, all while giving up Mo Bamba. Subsequently, Beverley was bought out and became a free agent this week.

In the end, Beverley decided to go and sign with the Chicago Bulls. There were a couple of teams that were considering Beverley. Ultimately, he had the last choice and went with the Bulls. During an episode of his podcast, Pat Bev stated that he considered the Golden State Warriors. However, he chose the Bulls because it is his hometown. Moreover, he felt as though he had a better chance of making a playoff run. Simply put, Beverley is locked in and is ready to get his new team into the postseason.

Patrick Beverley Speaks

Hilariously, Beverley has a side mission in all of this. While speaking on the latest episode of his show, Pat Bev has made it clear that he wants to keep the Lakers out of the playoffs. The Bulls have two more games against the Lakers before the end of the season, and the point guard is already circling those two dates. “Oh, we play the Lakers twice,” Beverley said. “[I want to] knock ’em out the playoffs. … Yeah, we got to get in the playoffs so excuse us. Like, a little scooch.”

The Lakers are a team that needs to win at least two-thirds of its remaining games in order to make it to the postseason. This is definitely a lot easier said than done, however, the new-look Lakers could definitely get it done. As for Beverley’s Bulls, it remains to be seen how good they will really be. After all, the Bulls are a team that has struggled this season. Only time will tell how this all plays out.

Patrick Beverley Finds A New NBA Home

Patrick Beverley is one of those players in the NBA that you hate to play against, but love to have on your team. Overall, he is a gritty player that is known for his defense. While he won’t put up incredible offensive numbers, he will still make his presence felt, night in and night out. However, his time with the Los Angeles Lakers this season saw a bit of a regression. Although this could be attributed to that disjointed roster, there is no doubt that the Lakers felt like they could get better. Consequently, this led to a trade that brought Mo Bamba to Los Angeles.

Subsequently, the Orlando Magic decided that they would prefer to buy out Beverley’s deal. This was an expected move that would ultimately turn Beverley into a free agent. With Beverley on the market, there were plenty of teams looking to sign him. One such team was none other than the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are his hometown team, and it would have made sense for him to go there. In the end, that is exactly what he did as it was announced that the Bulls were officially signing him.

Patrick Beverley Chooses His Team

Interestingly enough, Beverley revealed that there was a second team vying for his services. That team was none other than the Golden State Warriors. Overall, the Warriors are a team that could use some help, and Beverley is among those that could aid the squad. However, as he explained on his podcast, he felt like it was a smarter move to head to Chicago. “It was between Golden State and the Bulls…I figured I make a playoff push with the Bulls right now. The East kinda weak,” Beverley explained.

The Chicago Bulls aren’t in a great position to contend right now. After all, the East boasts teams like the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Philadelphia 76ers. Although, Beverley seems to have a ton of confidence in his new roster. Only time will tell whether or not this Bulls team can pull it together in time for the postseason. Let us know what you think of the move, in the comments below.

Overall, Pat Bev is seen as a player that you hate to play against but love to have on your team. He talks a whole lot of trash and is also wildly entertaining. Moreover, he is a good teammate who always defends his people, even if they had beef in the past.

Lakers Swap Patrick Beverley For Mo Bamba

Patrick Beverley has consistently been one of the more interesting characters on the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, he is a player who prides himself on his defense. However, he hasn’t been the defensive player that the Los Angeles Lakers were hoping for this year. With that being said, it has been reported that the Los Angeles Lakers were looking for opportunities to potentially trade him. After all, it is the trade deadline, which means every single team in the league is looking for ways to improve its roster. As a role player, there is always a risk of being traded, and Pat Bev was feeling that.

Another name that had been popping up around the league is none other than Mo Bamba of the Orlando Magic. Bamba hasn’t been getting a ton of playtime with the team and they’ve been trying to find some potential trade suitors. Overall, that task has proven to be quite difficult. Regardless, the Magic remained active at the deadline as they looked to sell off some of their assets heading into the off-season. Today, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic hit a collision course and made a big move.

Lakers Acquire Bamba

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Patrick Beverley has been sent from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Orlando Magic. Subsequently, Mo Bamba will now be going to the Lakers. This is yet another huge move for the Lakers as just last night they traded Russell Westbrook to the Utah jazz. In return for Westbrook, they were able to pick up Malik Beasley as well as D’Angelo Russell and Jarred Vanderbilt. Now the purple and gold will be looking to finish up their season strongly with a whole cast of new players, including Rui Hachimura and now, Mo Bamba.

While this next stretch of basketball will prove to be difficult for the Lakers. Their new lineup promises to be a lot better than its last. Overall, the team is trying to be a lot better now as LeBron James wants to make the playoffs. If for some reason they don’t make the postseason, yet again, then there is a very real risk that LeBron just opts out and looks for a trade in the off-season. Let us know what you think of this trade in the comment down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for all the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

Lakers Reportedly Looking To Move On From Patrick Beverley

Over the coming weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers will have a lot to think about. They are a team that needs some new pieces, especially if they want to make the playoffs. Overall, they are 13th in the Western Conference. However, they are just a winning streak away from being a top-five team in the West.

As it stands, the Lakers have a lot of players that they could trade away. They already did so with Kendrick Nunn, and it brought in a nice player in Rui Hachimura. Now, they can go out and seek more trades that could involve players of a higher profile.

Patrick Beverley On The Move?

As it stands, one player that could potentially be traded is none other than Patrick Beverley. Pat Bev is someone who prides himself on his defense. However, he hasn’t been his best this season and it’s not what the Lakers were hoping for. Having said that, it only makes sense that the Lakers would look elsewhere.

“I think that they’re gonna continue to be active looking for guards, basically looking to upgrade their guards, seeing if they can upgrade from Patrick Beverley especially,” Brian Windhorst said on ESPN today. As for guards the Lakers are interested in, Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet seem to be at the top of that list.

The trade deadline will not be easy for the Lakers as numerous teams struggle to work out deals with them. Regardless, fans should rest easy knowing the franchise is at least doing something.
