NLE Choppa And His Girlfriend Marrissa Da’Nae Revealed That They Suffered A Miscarriage

NLE Choppa has been off to a great start in 2022. The Memphis native just released his latest album, Me Vs. Me, which boasts 16 songs and guest appearances from Young Thug, Polo G, G Herbo, and Moneybagg Yo. The young rapper has also released numerous videos, including ones for “Shotta Flow 6,” “Lick Me Baby,” and “Trap Phone.” Unfortunately, tragedy has struck him and his girlfriend.

Marissa De’Nae, who’s been dating Choppa for some months now, revealed in an Instagram post that she recently suffered a miscarriage. “Talking bout this is so hard,” she wrote under a picture of Choppa holding her belly. “But with Bryson next to me and being my supporter, this has helped me more. Losing our Son is so hard for me, I couldn’t function. But he has pulled me through and I’m thankful to have you by my side and with me along this journey. There’s a lot of women who suffer the things I suffer and go through the same things I go through.”

De’Nae also thanked everyone for their support and “kind words” about their loss. Choppa also took a moment to remember his unborn child in a post to Twitter. “Seven Da’Shun Potts,” he wrote with an angel and dove emoji. “#FOREVER7 RIP My Lil One.”

NLE Choppa’s ‘Shotta Flow 6’ Video Is A Raucous Finale To His Trademark Series

After delaying the album for one week in honor of the late Young Dolph’s tribute album, NLE Choppa returned with his sophomore album Me Vs. Me at the end of last month. In his continued effort to promote his latest body of work, NLE Choppa returns with a new video for “Shotta Flow 6.” The visual marks the finale of the series which he started at the beginning of 2019. The song helped boost his popularity as its video tallied 10 million views in a month. Now, in its sixth and final installment, NLE Choppa flaunts his trademark high-octane energy as well as quickfire rap flow from start to finish through the new visual.

NLE Choppa’s new video comes after he released visuals for “Trap Phone” and “Lick Me Baby” earlier this month. With the video for “Shotta Flow 6,” NLE Choppa has now released visuals for nearly half the songs on Me Vs. Me as “Stompin,” “Drop Sh*t,” “Jumpin,” and “Mmm Hmm” have all received the visual treatment. Throughout the 16 songs on Me Vs. Me, listeners will also catch guest appearances from Young Thug, Polo G, G Herbo, and Moneybagg Yo.

NLE Choppa Lives A Life Of Leisure In His ‘Lick Me Baby’ Video

For as much attention as NLE Choppa has gotten for some of his social media antics and possible NBA YoungBoy feud of late, the number-one reason to stay tuned to the charismatic Memphian is still his music. Just two weeks ago, he released his new album, Me Vs. Me, rightfully putting the focus back on his musical output after threatening to quit rap to become a herbalist and hawking chlorophyll drinks online.

After dropping a strong run of singles from the album including “Too Hot” with fellow Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo, “Stompin,” and “Trap Phone,” he followed up today with another new video for the salacious standout, “Lick Me Baby.” On the song, he invites a female companion to to give up her inhibitions and the video follows that theme, with Choppa living a life of leisure surrounded by beautiful women. Scenarios he finds himself include giving CPR to a drowning victim (because he gets to touch her chest), shooting a parody sex tape, and dreaming about twerking women while a woman twerks next to him.

NLE Choppa Shows Off His Dance Skills And Charisma In His Video For ‘Trap Phone’

NLE Choppa ended the first month of the new year by releasing his sophomore album Me Vs. Me. It arrives nearly a year and a half after his debut album Top Shotta. That same year he was given a spot on the 2020 XXL Freshman Class list with names like Jack Harlow, Rod Wave, Latto, and more. To continue the promotion behind his latest body of work, NLE Choppa returns with a video for “Trap Phone.” The visual finds him surrounded by his crew and a cast of women as he boasts about his street rap while showing off his charisma with a collection of energetic dance moves.

Me Vs. Me arrives with sixteen songs and features from Young Thug, Polo G, G Herbo, and Moneybagg Yo. The project dropped a week after its original release date after NLE Choppa delayed it out of respect for Long Live Young Dolph, the compilation album that was released in honor of Young Dolph who was shot and killed in November. “Trap Phone” joins songs like “Stompin,” “Mmm Hmm,” “Unapologetic,” and “Drop Sh*t” as records from Me Vs. Me to receive the visual treatment.

NLE Choppa Cosplays As Batman In The Stark ‘Stompin’ Video

19-year-old Memphis rapper NLE Choppa (born Bryson Lashun Potts) has come a long way in two years. After breaking out in a big way back in early 2019, then just 17, Choppa slowly but surely began to build out his discography beyond his viral hit “Shotta Flow.” Signing a deal with Warner Records, the teenage rapper released his Cottonwood EP in early 2020, along with his debut album, Top Shotta, and a mixtape shortly after called From Dark To Light. Given his output during that short one year span, it makes sense that Choppa held off on full-length releases last year, but came back in strong at the top of 2022 with his second album, Me Vs. Me just last Friday.

Now, he’s following up the album’s release with a new video for “Stompin,” in which he plays a whole host of characters, including none other than The Dark Knight himself. Switching gears for other visceral roles like a butcher tenderizing meat (with lots of blood splatter), and even finds himself in a similar situation to the lethal hypnotism that trapped Daniel Kaluuya’s character in Get Out. Check out the new video for “Stompin” above and stream the Me Vs. Me mixtape, which includes features from Young Thug, Polo G and G. Herbo, right here.
