Travis Scott is currently gearing up to release his new album UTOPIA very soon. Overall, fans are very excited about the impending drop of this project. Although there is no timetable for its release, there are certainly quite a few teasers going around. Many believe it could be coming as soon as the end of this month. However, Travis himself has yet to actually confirm this. Instead, people are just making guesses, while also hoping that he will bless us with some summer jams.
Additionally, Travis Scott has his only line of sneakers with Nike and Jordan Brand. Over the years, he has delivered some truly special offerings. For instance, he has the Nike SB Dunk Low, a few great Air Jordan 1 Lows, a fantastic Air Jordan 1, and then his Air Jordan 4 and 6 offerings as well. Now, however, he is teasing a return of the Nike Mac Attack. For those who don’t know, this was a signature shoe worn by tennis legend John McEnroe in 1984. The shoe is making a comeback, and a lot of it is thanks to La Flame.

In the images above, you can see new promotional materials from Nike. In these magazine cover-style ads, Travis Scott and John McEnroe can be seen together. Travis seems to be giving tennis a bit of a go, and it makes for some great visuals. Furthermore, both he and McEnroe can be seen wearing the Nike Mac Attack in a simple colorway. It is believed that Travis will be dropping his own Nike Mac Attack with a reverse swoosh on the sides. Of course, this is one of his signature details.
For now, however, there is no timetable on when he may actually come through and release this sneaker. All we know for sure is that the collab is coming in the not-so-distant future. Nike bringing back one of its classic sneakers, the Nike Mac Attack — the signature model worn by tennis legend John McEnroe — and has tapped one of its key collaborators to make the re-release even more special. The 1984 sneaker is being redesigned for Travis Scott with his trademark reversed Swoosh.
Travis was seen performing in his updated Mac Attacks in May, and today, the NikeSportswear Instagram account began the official rollout with a genuinely stylish print ad layout featuring the rapper and the tennis star side-by-side in tailored suits and Travis on the court taking a two-handed forehand in a white Nike windbreaker and shorts combo (I, for one, would love to find out the results of that).

A detail of the ad Travis Scott fans might appreciate is his briefcase, which bears the scrawl “Utopia” — the name of Travis’ long-awaited comeback album, which he’s been teasing for the better part of the past two years. While anticipation for the album is sky-high among Scott’s diehards, it was set back by the tragedy at his Astroworld Festival in 2021, which generated nearly 5,000 injury claims in addition to ten deathsand prompted the rapper to spend much of last year lying low.
Travis was said to have recently played the album for his hometown Houston Astros, implying that it could be nearing release. With Nike helping to raise his profile to pre-Astroworld levels, it could mean that Utopia‘s release is imminent. Meanwhile, the Mac Attacks have an official release date of June 23 — although the remixed Travis Scott signature version has not been announced.
One of the more underappreciated Nike shoes would have to be the Nike Air More Uptempo. Overall, this is an amazing sneaker that a lot of fans absolutely love. However, it is also quite polarizing due to the chunky and air bubble design. Simply put, these are not for everyone, and they never have been. That said, the shoe has been around since 1996 and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. There is a subset of sneakerheads who have nostalgia for these, and each new colorway is a reminder of those glory years.
Interestingly enough, the Nike Air More Uptempo still gets new colorways every now and then. Although it may not be a lot, fans definitely try to cherish these new releases. In 2023, we have seen a couple of Uptempo models thus far. With summer on the horizon, there are a ton of fans out there who are ready for more. Well, it seems like Nike is about to deliver just that. Below, you can find a new Uptempo that is covered in “Coconut Milk” and “Midnight Navy.”
Firstly, the upper of the shoe mostly has that beige coconut milk aesthetic we just mentioned. Moreover, we get some navy blue on the air bubbles on the sides that spell out “Air.” It makes for a very nice look and these colors blend quite nicely together. Additionally, the tongue and the midsole are white for good measure. On the whole, this is just a solid offering from Nike.

Ja Morant has been in the news for all of the wrong reasons as of late. Overall, if you are an NBA fan, you know exactly what went down. After being told to quit flashing guns on Instagram, he did it again. Firstly, Morant was suspended eight games the first time he did it. However, he is now expected to be suspended for much longer. Fans are not happy at all with his behavior, with some even labeling him as a “moron.” Either way, this has been a horrible run for Ja Morant, whose Grizzlies were eliminated in the first round.
With a potential NBA suspension on the horizon, others have been interested in how this may affect his sponsorships. Of course, Morant is signed to Nike, and the brand is incredibly protective of its image. For instance, Kyrie Irving was let go by Nike after he shared an anti-Semitic film on Twitter. In regard to Nike, some have actually been critical of their support for Ja, and their lack of support for Irving. Subsequently, it now seems like Nike has taken this criticism into consideration.

According to TMZ, Nike has taken all of Ja Morant’s sneakers off of their website. There is a new Nike Ja 1 set to drop on May 25th, but for now, it remains on the website. However, if you want the other colorways, you are completely out of luck. Overall, this is a horrible development for Ja Morant. Although, it does not mean his partnership with the brand is over. It could simply mean that it is on pause until things get figured out.
At the end of the day, companies like the NBA and Nike have an image to protect. If they feel like an athlete is compromising that, they will cut ties. This mismatched colorway was made to honor the late mothers of Kyrie Irving and Sneaker Room owner Suraj Kaufman. Taking inspiration from the elements of Mother Nature, one colorway represents Earth, while the contrast represents other elements. The green and yellow colorway represents earth and wind, while the blue and orange iteration represents fire and ice. Both colorways feature Sneaker Room and “Mom” branding on the lace tips. Each sneaker has a flower graphic on the hell, as well as “In honor of” on the heel panel. The details in this collaboration make it one of the most unique versions of the Nike Kyrie 7.
“1 World 1 People”

This popular colorway follows a positive theme of peace. The “1 World 1 People” colorway has the same namesake message featured on the sneaker’s heel. Touches of aqua blue compliment the bright yellow-clad mesh upper. The TPU fins of the sneaker have the same touches of blue. The TPU fins also come in bright red as well. Tones of red and green are also present on the colorful set. The colorway’s bright tones are completed with an abstract multicolor print over the sneaker.

Nike created the exclusive “Stage Use” Air Max Plus specifically for Drake, who debuted the shoes during the Aubrey & the Three Migos tour date in Vancouver, British Columbia. Features that make the shoe different from your usual pair of Air Max Plus are the exposed lacing system throughout the silhouette. The blue heel shank also adds a cool hit of color to the exclusive build. Sneakerheads also spotted Drake in a white and crimson red colorway of the sneaker.
Certified Lover Boy Nike Air Force 1’s

Also known as the “Love You Forever,” this collaboration between Drake’s NOCTA and Nike came during the winter 2022 season. Breathing life into a classic, the release adds the artist’s twist to the much-loved all-white Air Force 1 base. The shoe is virtually identical to a fresh pair of classic 1’s, except for the engraving on the heel, which reads, “Love You Forever” — an on-brand statement for the artist.
Another collaboration under Drake’s NOCTA sublabel, the Hot Step Air Terra puts Drake’s aesthetic likings to the forefront. The NOCTA Hot Step Air Terra came in multiple colorways, including “Triple Black”, “Champagne”, and purple. Nike also released a black and gold, as well as an all-white colorway, version of the sneaker. Like the OVO Jordan 11 “Snakeskin,” the Hot Step Air Terra also got a snakeskin-inspired rendition as well. Each colorway has a unique NOCTA branding on the tongue.
When this sneaker dropped during the surprise launch on Nike SNKRS, it almost immediately sold out. Now an extremely rare find, the “Raptors” Air Jordan 4 is a stand-out release from Drake and Nike’s collaborative history. However, the shoe sports the same exact purple, black, and red colorway as the original “Raptors” release. The difference between the original and this release is all in the sneaker’s tongue, which includes a purple Jumpman logo, and beneath it, Drake’s signature in red. With the new features matching the iconic colorway even more, this collaboration was a blessing to those who were able to grab them.
These exclusive kicks represent the Canadian rapper’s favorite NCAA team. Paying homage to the Kentucky Wildcats, this OVO x Nike collaboration was released as a pack. One pair featured a white leather upper accented by the Kentucky Blue and Red Jumpman. The other pair sports a black nubuck suede upper accented by Kentucky Blue. The shoes are also evidence of the strong relationship between Drake and Kentucky Men’s Basketball head coach, John Calipari, who received the exclusive pair as a gift. That pair, specifically, included signatures from Calipari and Drake branded on the sneakers.
Drake’s album, Views ended up being an impressive hit, doing big numbers with hit singles like “One Dance.” This OVO and Nike collaboration was made as a tribute to Drake’s “One Dance” hitting number one on the Billboard Hot 100 list. A celebration of a proud achievement, this release has the flare of the artist. The shoe sports an all-white upper with a red Jumpman placed on the tongue. A closer look at the sneakers shows “Views” written on the lace lock. The same can be seen on the bottom of the sneaker through the shoe’s translucent outsole.
One of the most exclusive drops of 2019, the OVO “Snakeskin” Air Jordan 11 continues to be a heavily sought-after sneaker. The attention-grabbing collab is one that is extremely rare to see on the street. Drake and Nike originally previewed the shoe in two colorways: pink and grey. The OVO Air Jordan 11 “Snakeskin” now also comes in two colorways of solid gold, all white, and black. Each colorway of the rare sneaker contains an exclusive snakeskin-inspired bottom. The shoe also features “45” embroidered on the heel, referencing Michael Jordan’s 1995 season. The snakeskin motif would be seen in other Drake x Nike collaborations in the future as well.
This collaboration between Drake’s OVO and Nike came in 2015 with the release of the sneaker’s all-white colorway. The shoe’s all-black colorway soon followed in February 2016. The white colorway sports an all-white base with metallic gold gracing the overlays, bottom, and outsole of the sneaker. The stingray skin overlays give even more life and variety to the sneaker’s white colorway as well. Seeing both a limited release and re-release, these kicks are another rare pair to find from Drake’s many collaborations with Nike.
Another buzz-worthy release from Drake and Nike, the OVO Air Jordan 12 also saw a short amount of time before being sold out on the Nike SNKRS site. The shoe was originally released in two colorways, “Retro White” and “Retro Black.” The latter debuted during the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend. Both colorways contain textured faux stingray skin overlays, gold hardware, and OVO branding on the translucent outsole. Another rare collaboration between OVO and Nike, the sneakers currently still sell for over $1000 on sites like StockX.
The OVO Air Jordan 8 Retro was another modern spin on a classic. Released in 2018, the sneaker’s two colorways were revealed during the Jordan Brand All-Star unveiling in Los Angeles. The first colorway, “Retro White”, features hits of Metallic Gold and Varsity Red on its all-white base, as well as a Varsity Red Jumpman logo on the tongue. The second colorway, “Retro Black” features the same hits of Metallic Gold and Varsity Red Jumpman logo. Other details on the sneaker pack include Drake’s trademark OVO branding and OVO Owl logo branded on the shoes.
One of the best sneakers ever made is the Nike Dunk Low. At this point, everyone should know about this silhouette and its contribution to sneaker culture. Overall, it is one of those shoes that can pair well with pretty well anything. Moreover, for people who like the classics, it is probably refreshing to see this shoe still going strong. Over 40 years later, nothing can take this sneaker down. Sure, it hasn’t always been on trend, however, it has been able to survive all of these years later, which is a testament to its design.
Throughout the last few years, the Nike Dunk Low has experienced a truly impressive resurgence. Although not everyone is a fan of the sneaker, there are still those who will cop every single new colorway. In 2023 especially, we have been seeing new colorways almost every single week. That trend is not going to stop anytime soon, as Nike understands just how valuable all of these new offerings are. In fact, today, we are getting official images of the “Washed Denim” colorway.

In the official images above and below, you can see that this is a very clean model. In fact, the upper is mostly just covered in your standard white leather. However, the Nike swoosh and the back heel are where we can find some denim. This denim is blue with some white-washed elements to it. Additionally, there are some nice patterns within the denim to spruce things up. Lastly, the outsole has a classic gum look, while the tongue and laces are a shade of creamy beige.
As for the release date of this shoe, nothing has been determined. However, these should be dropping fairly soon for a price that has also not been made public.
