Fivio Foreign Taps Vory, Meek Mill, 41, Swae Lee, & More For “Pain & Love 2”

On thing you have to respect about Fivio Foreign is how much he has grown in the past couple of years. The Brooklynite has only been around since 2019, but has plenty of massive accomplishments in his still-budding career. Perhaps the one that altered his trajectory the most was his incredible contribution to Kanye West’s Donda. “Off The Grid” gave Fivio the platform to deliver an extended verse. He made the most of that opportunity, putting on arguably his most passionate performance yet.

Since that point he went on to drop his sophomore record B.I.B.L.E. It was his biggest record to date with a diverse feature list from A$AP Rocky, Ne-Yo, Lil Yachty, KayCyy, Quavo, and Kanye and Alicia Keys. Additionally, Fivio became the first rapper to use an AI-generated beat with his song “Doin Me.” If that was not enough to convince you of his growth, he is now helping put on the next wave of NY drill talents. He did so on one of the singles to Pain & Love 2 called “Get Deady.”

Fivio Foreign Links Up With Tata, Jenn Carter & Kyle Richh On New Single “Notice Me”

Fivio Foreign linked up with three rising artists out of New York’s drill scene for his latest single, “Notice Me.”

The bubbling 41 Crew’s made a significant splash in the New York rap scene in the past year. They got the official stamp of approval from Fivio Foreign once they hopped on his new single, “Notice Me.” The rapper’s latest single strays away from the more aggressive, adrenaline-pumping drill production. This time, he, alongside Jenn Carter, Kyle Ricch and Tata, deliver an infectious bop that expands the sound of drill further. Firstly, Fivio comes through with a laidback flow, filled with his signature ad-libs.

Following Fivio’s verse, Jenn Carter, Kyle Ricch, and Tata truly step up to the plate to provide some youthful energy to the fold. All in all, each rapper put their best foot forward on a song that’s bound to make an impact in NYC.

Fivio Foreign’s unveiled a handful of singles in recent times, which might be a sign that he could be dropping soon. Following the release of The B.I.B.L.E, his debut album executive produced by Kanye West, he continued to keep his foot on the gas with a plethora of loose singles. Prior to “Notice Me,” Fivio shared the single, “Sicc And Tired.” He also linked up with Eli Manning and Shaun O’Hara for “Giants On 3.” The song served as a remix of his single, “1 On 3.”

We’ll keep you posted on any more updates on Fivio Foreign’s next project. For now, press play on Fivio Foreign’s latest single “Notice Me” ft. Jenn Carter, Kyle Richh, and Tata below. Sound off with your thoughts in the comments.

Dusty Locane In Jail After Pleading Guilty To Gun Charges

As one of the most prominent names in the New York drill scene, Dusty Locane has been consistently working to keep himself and the rest of his city’s wave on the map.

Unfortunately, he’s now set to serve some time behind bars after pleading guilty to two gun charges.

Both are for criminal possession of a weapon and stem from incidents in 2019 and 2020. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of one year, with the maximum time he could serve being three years.

In an Instagram post from November 24, the “ROLANDO” rapper let his fans know that he’s planning to turn himself in. “HAPPY THANCSGIVIN TO ALL MY SUPPORTS N PEOPLES. I WILL BE TURNIN MYSELF IN ON DA 30TH OF NOV,” he wrote.

“BEEN FIGHTIN DESE CASES FOR DAMN NEAR 4 YRS[.] NOW I GOTTA GO HANDLE UP LOL[.] IMA TAKE CARE OF DIS SHORT BID N IMA BE BACC NINE FIVE TIMES STRONGER !! C YA WHEN I GET BACC FRM VACAY,” he continued in the caption.

Regardless, the drill rapper has been continuing to drop music while behind bars. Earlier this month (on December 5), he released his six-song EP, CATCH DA FLU.

This caps off a busy year for Locane, serving as his fourth project of 2022. His ROLLIN N CONTROLLIN EP arrived on September 2, followed by SAY DAT just three weeks later. As a collab project with fellow New York drill artists, Rah Swish, Ron Suno and OnPointLikeOP, the latter is an eight-song collection of hard-hitting bangers.

Although locked up, it does appear as though the Brooklyn native is in good spirits. “ALIVE IS THE BEST PLACE TO BE. THEY LOCCED ME PHYSICALLY BUT MY MIND IS FREE. I APPRECIATE THE LUV N SUPPORT, FREE ME,” he wrote in a tweet on Wednesday (December 21).

Ever since Pop Smoke‘s tragic murder in 2020, there have been a number of artists stepping up and keeping the New York drill scene alive. Thanks to his impressive output, Locane has certainly been one of them. The “Dior” rapper was undeniably the leader of their wave, helping to bring their sound to the eyes of the mainstream with his charisma and gruff delivery.

Locane and Pop were childhood friends, growing up in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn together. The “ROLANDO” rapper has even drawn comparisons to his late friend, with a similarly aggressive flow and delivery. We can only hope that the 23-year-old will soon be free.
