Buffalo Bills' First Game After Damar Hamlin Injury is What Movies Are Made Of

The Buffalo Bills returned to the field on Sunday, taking on division rival New England Patriots in a game they needed to join the Bills in the playoffs. Before kickoff, tributes to Damar Hamlin occurred, making an emotional moment even heavier. Then Nyheim Hines returned to opening kick for a touchdown, in a moment that you could only write in Hollywood and exploding the crowd into a frenzy.

Hamlin also exploded in emotion on Twitter.

If that wasn’t enough for the moment, Hines did it again.

The Bills won 35-23 over the Pats, locking in the No. 2 seed in the playoffs and ending the Pats season. The Bills spoke about the weight lifted off the team with the game behind them.

“Honestly, I don’t know how some of us did it,” Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White said to ESPN. “Just because some of us had a different view of what went on [with Damar Hamlin], and that is traumatizing.

“I’ve seen traumatic things in my life just growing up where I grew up at and just in the environment that I’ve been raised in, but it was always the end result of me walking up and seeing it. But there was never a time where I saw every event, everything transpire to the end. So, it’s tough, man.”

The Bills will take the field again next weekend, hosting division rival Miami Dolphins in the Wildcard round.

Skip Bayless Calls Out Mac Jones For Being A Dirty Player

Skip Bayless is easily one of the most vocal people in the entire sports world. He is constantly delivering hot takes on all things sports. He typically gets to do this on Undisputed where he sits across from the likes of Shannon Sharpe. Overall, he is a polarizing figure and that will never change.

More recently, Bayless has come under fire for his treatment of Sharpe. Many have taken issue with how he tries to provoke his co-host. For the most part, Bayless has not addressed any of this, and it is likely that he never will.

Today, however, Bayless and Sharpe had a new task at hand as they discussed the likes of Mac Jones. Jones is not having a particularly great season in New England. In fact, he is now being called a dirty player. This is all thanks to plays like the one down below.

Skip Bayless Reacts

Subsequently, Bayless had an interesting reaction to all of this. As you can see down below, he is shocked that such a young player would stoop this low. He is even more shocked that a quarterback is gaining a dirty reputation. For Bayless, this is almost unheard of.

“I have never, ever heard of a quarterback, A QUARTERBACK, who has been branded as a cheap shot artist and a dirty player,” he said. “What quarterback have you ever known who could even put himself in position to make dirty plays? Somehow this kid pulls it off and this wasn’t a first. It’s like Grayson Allen, who couldn’t keep himself from tripping players.”

Jones is developing one of the worst reputations you can have, and that is not going to bold well for his future. Hopefully, he can learn from his mistakes and start playing with a bit more respect.

Jakobi Meyers Ridiculed After Horrific Final Patriots Play

Jakobi Meyers and the New England Patriots were a trending topic on Twitter last night, for all of the wrong reasons. During their game against the Las Vegas Raiders, the Patriots had one last drive to try and win the game. The score was tied at 24, and if the Patriots just ran the clock out, they would go to overtime.

However, that is not what happened. Instead, Jakobi Meyers received a lateral that should have never been attempted. Meyers had nowhere to go, and instead of going out of bounds, he attempted to throw the ball back to quarterback Mac Jones. Eventually, the ball was intercepted by Chandler Jones, who scored the dumbest last-second game-winning touchdown we have ever seen.

Jakobi Meyers Apologizes

After the game, Meyers showed accountability for his poor decision. He had tears in his eyes, and he admitted that he was trying to be the hero. Overall, it was a sad moment for the player, who clearly understands that this could have professional ramifications.

Additionally, the internet was not particularly forgiving towards Meyers. Whenever a player makes a mistake like this, you can be sure that people are going to be cruel. Of course, that is exactly what happened in this particular instance. Regardless of his humility, he was always going to get roasted.

Down below, you can find a plethora of memes that make light of the situation. Overall, the memes are pretty brutal as they portray Meyers as the villain of the Patriots’ locker room. Moreover, there is this sense that Meyers could be kicked off the team by Bill Belichick, who is known for his no-nonsense attitude.

Meyers has been an effective player for the Patriots this season, although there is no doubt that this is a brutal development for him. Hopefully, the Pats keep him so he can redeem himself. After all, one play should not define an entire career.

NBC Used Adele’s ‘Hello’ Ahead Of Tom Brady’s Return To Foxboro For The First Time With The Bucs

A moment that seemed unfathomable as recently as two years ago has come to fruition. For the first time in his 22-year NFL career, Tom Brady headed to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro as a member of a team that wasn’t the New England Patriots. Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers squared off against his old squad on Sunday Night Football this week, and even if it wasn’t the only game on television in that window, the eyes of every football fan would be locked onto the matchup between Brady and Bill Belichick.

It’s seemingly been the only football game that anyone has talked about for the last week or so, and unsurprisingly, NBC decided to go all-out for the occasion. In addition to its aforementioned time slot and the amount of discourse there’s been around the game, the network enlisted the help of Adele in its pregame promo, as it used the song “Hello” to welcome Brady back to his old stomping ground.

Brady’s laundry list of accomplishments from his time with the Patriots has been listed out a million times, but most famously, he and Belichick combined to win six Super Bowl in New England. He’s gotten one sixth of the way to matching that in Tampa, as the Bucs lifted the Lombardi Trophy last season.
