The East Coast, like any other corner of hip-hop, has a distinct sound. It is grimy, rugged, but sometimes smooth and easy going. Those are all of the styles you are going to get on BY ANY MEAN$, the debut album of producer SAINT JAME$. He is cut from the similar cloth that Griselda is from, and that is why you are getting artists of that familiar ilk all over this project. From Conway the Machine to Boldy James, and Rome Streetz to ElCamino, the gang is all here.

BY ANY MEAN$ is a tight listen, spanning just 10 tracks with a scant run time of just 28 minutes and change. For someone looking to get their name out there like SAINT JAME$ is, you would think making longer instrumentals would be the move. However, he still manages to be memorable. Many may not know, but this project was in the works for quite a long time. In fact, SAINT JAME$ explained his gratitude for everyone that was involved and thanked for them for their years’ worth of patience. “Shouts out to @coachbombay3000 for believing in me, this project, being patient and for the guidance and support”, JAMES said.

G-Eazy Divulges On Why He Is “Freak Show” On 7th Studio Abum

Gerald Earl Gillum, popularly known as G-Eazy, has come through with Freak Show, ending a three-year album hiatus. The 35-year-old Oakland-based rapper and singer, like past projects, is bringing a mixture of genres to the table. You will hear pop-punk, pop rap, emo, some rock, and everything in between, which is pretty impressive given there are just 12 songs to be had. Leading up to this seventh studio effort, G-Eazy did share quite a bit of the tracklist before this weekend. To be exact, a third of the LP was released over the last three months.

It started with the fan-maligned “Femme Fatale”, a sex-positive and hedonistic anthem featuring Coi Leray and Kaliii. That would be followed up by “Lady Killers III”, continuing the series after the second dropped in March. Then, G-Eazy delivered his most personal track out of the crop with “Love You Forever”, which is about his deceased mother who passed back in 2021. Finally, “Anxiety”, which is the now the closing track to Freak Show, sees him wrestle with his inner voice. Overall, G-Eazy troubled but unapologetic about what it took to get to this point. In fact, he spoke with USA Today, according to People, about that very overarching message. “It’s an album about self-acceptance. It is honest. It’s revealing of how I got here, who I’ve been, the stories of the come-up and some of the hardships and some of the missteps and some of the flaws along the way”.

KAYTRANADA Produces Groovy & Sexy Dance Jams For Maeta’s “Endless Night” EP

The summer of 2023 was all about KAYTRAMINE. In 2024, the hottest months of the year beloing to Maetranada. That is the unofficial name of singer/producer duo Maeta and KAYTRANADA. The former is a Indianapolis, Indiana native and Roc Nation signee. KAYTRANADA is the world-renowned multi-genre instrumental genius who works with everyone. These two talents have a work history together, joining up for a couple of tracks over the last couple of years. However, Endless Night is the first time that Maeta is leaning on the Canadian for a full body of work. This is not an LP, rather a seven-track EP with zero features.

To be honest, that does not really bother us. When you have a beautiful voice like Maeta, and the colorful production of a KAYTRANADA, that is all you need really. The 24-year-old balladeer was very thrilled to drop Endless Night, according to her team. “I’m so excited for this project to be out. I just want everyone to have fun, dance and be free this summer!”. Well, they certainly will be as both are making it easy as ever to float away and loose themselves on the dancefloor. There is never a dull moment on this EP, even with the sultrier takes on dance. The presence of R&B is strong still and in a good way. Of course, fans just a got full listening experience from KAYTRANADA a couple of weeks ago with the highly-praised TIMELESS. But for Maeta, this project comes a year after her LP When I Hear Your Name, which featured Ty Dolla $ign, James Fauntleroy, Lucky Daye, and more.

Don Toliver Scores Highest Chart Debut Of His Career With New Album

Don Toliver has worked to get where he is. The Houston artist broke through in a big way on Travis Scott’s 2018 album Astroworld, and since then, he’s continued to refine his sound. Toliver has gotten better and better, and his commercial success has followed suit. He scored his first top ten hit in 2020, and his last two albums have debuted within the top 10 of the Billboard 200. His new album, Hardstone Psycho, is garnering stellar reviews from critics. Furthermore, it’s already proven to be the artist’s most successful release yet.

Hardstone Psycho debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. Technically, this is a spot lower than his second album, Life of a Don. The album sales are second to none, however. Hardstone Psycho sold 77K copies in its first week. This makes it the best-selling debut of any Don Toliver album to date. For a point of comparison, Life of a Don sold 68K first week. Love Sick, his third album, sold only 40K during its first week. Don Toliver is inching closer and closer to superstardom. It may seem like a long process, but the artist is in it for the long haul.

Don Toliver’s Hardstone Psycho Is His Boldest Album Yet

Don Toliver talked about his musical journey during a 2023 GQ profile. He credited his eclectic taste to his parents, and admitted that he was initially pigeonholed by comparisons to other artists. “People say I sound like Akon, or like T-Pain,” he recalled. “But I feel like I sound like myself.” The artist went on explain how a gradual increase in popularity has actually given him time to make mistakes and hone his musical craft. Now, he’s more confident than ever. “I know how to do everything,” Toliver boasted. “I can literally hear any beat and know how I should sound, or somebody else should sound.”

Hardstone Psycho is a testament to this confidence. The album sees Don Toliver try out sounds as varied as sample-heavy hip-hop, dance-centric party songs, and rock-laced anthems. The artist wants to break down genre frameworks because the icons he idolizes did the same thing. “I want people to listen to my music and think it’s timeless,” he told GQ in 2022. “To think about Marvin Gaye, Sade, Jay-Z, and just listen again. All I strive for is to be in the conversation with some of the greatest of all time.” He’s clearly on his way.

Fans are certainly more eager than ever to get their hands on Meg’s upcoming LP, which so far, sounds like it’ll be a hit. She previewed one of her unreleased tracks earlier this month with a twerk-filled tour bus video, and while the song doesn’t have a name yet, they can’t wait for the full version.

Meg’s latest announcement also follows the unveiling of the project’s cover art, which sparked a bit of controversy and confusion. The original album cover shows Meg hanging halfway out of a Chrysalis and didn’t sit right with many. She later unveiled an alternate version, in which she was seen climbing out of an egg. Fans have been demanding Cardi B’s sophomore album for several years. Now, it appears to finally be on the horizon. While she continues to tease the project’s release online, she’s yet to announce an official release date. Previously, it was expected to arrive sometime this year, though she later walked back this claim. Instead, she said that she’s decided to spend her summer relaxing, though it seems like her label disagrees.

“We can’t wait put it out, even if we have to sneak into her studio and take it!” Atlantic Records wrote last month. Clearly, the timeline is still a bit murky. Regardless, Cardi still seems excited about the project and appears to be hard at work on it. Earlier this week, she took to her Instagram Story to tease its title, asking fans to guess what they think it could be.

“What y’all think my album name is?” she asked followers, hiding what appears to be the title with her hand. Of course, fans are out in full force with their best guesses. At the time of writing, it’s uncertain when she plans to finally announce it. The Bardigang certainly hopes it’s sooner rather than later, however. Luckily, they have plenty to listen to in the meantime, as Cardi is still hot off the release of various bangers. However, this one boasts some more interesting crossover collaborations with the likes of Cardi B, Quavo, and Rich The Kid, who appears on the single “Gimme A Second.”

In addition, there are other Latine superstars like Arcángel, Anitta, Junior H, Natanael Cano, Oscar Maydon, Gabito Ballesteros, and many more on here. It’s been amazing to see Peso Pluma’s rapid rise in the regional Mexican music sphere, despite canceled shows over cartel death threats dampening some of his hometown exposure. Hopefully he faces no further issues in that regard, and is able to connect fans to ÉXODO in a safe and meaningful manner. Justin Timberlake now finds himself in a bit of a rough spot following a DWI arrest and a whole lot of clowning due to his mugshot. However, these obstacles and circumstances are ones that celebrities often have to deal with, however unfairly or sidestepped compared to the rest of the world. Apparently, according to alleged Hollywood insiders who spoke to Page Six, this whole scandal is affecting him particularly harshly given his album sales and tour ticket struggles. According to these alleged sources that also apparently spoke to The Post, the Memphis native’s career is not quite at the highs that he expected at this point, although it’s important to note that this is just hearsay and an understandably human response at that.

“The album didn’t do too well, and I don’t see Justin getting big acting roles right now,” an alleged Hollywood insider remarked of Justin Timberlake. “I just think Justin has a bad reputation in Hollywood as a bit of a jerk and a pain in the a**. He’s got a bit of an ego.” According to US Weekly, his wife Jessica Biel is also unhappy with his behavior as of late, although it’s unclear if she’s instead upset about the circumstances of his arrest.

“There have been rumors around Justin’s behavior for a long time,” another insider said of Justin Timberlake. “Maybe the bubble was about to burst and this was the pin that pricked the bubble. He’s got a few blemishes, for sure. In today’s world you have to be really dumb to drink and drive. Justin is showing off a side that I don’t think a lot of people knew about.” His next court date is set for July 26.
