Lil Durk Hints At New Music Coming Soon While Throwing Subliminals

Lil Durk has a couple of things to get off his chest, according to some reposts from DJ Akademiks. Let’s start off with the more recent series of statements first. The Chicago rapper and singer seems to be taking some subliminal shots at either people he knows or contemporaries and did so via an Instagram story. The Voice writes, “When brothers speak bad bout brothers I cut em off ☪ I don’t even bother to ask questions we know who real and who fake some people won’t change”.

Then, a little bit later, Lil Durk uploaded a collage to the IG feed. This time, the veteran is getting a little more direct with his words. The caption says, “Back in 2012 they counted me out I had to turn up a notch!!!!! This album for the core ☪”. In regard to his first thought dump, this is nothing new from the drill artist. All you have to do is peruse through his IG page to see that he does something similar every other week.

So, we aren’t going to look to deep into that. Instead, what we are going to focus our attention on is the “album for the core” part. Durk has not been dropping a ton this year, but two of his singles seem to be for the upcoming Love Songs 4 the Streets 3. This would be his ninth studio album, and the third in this more melodic series of projects for him. “Smurk Carter”, “Old Days”, and “Went Hollywood For A Year” look to be prime candidates for LS4TS3. However, the release date and all of the other important details are currently unknown.

What are your thoughts on Lil Durk’s cryptic message and him teasing new music? Do you think the Chicago MC receives too much hate online, why or why not? Have you been enjoying his features and singles this year? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Lil Durk. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Polo G Hints At “Hood Poet” Album With Lyric Posters

It has been nearly two full years since Polo G’s last solo effort. He put out a follow-up to Hall of Fame titled Hall of Fame 2.0. It is a 34-song and one-hour and 30-minute venture that most album listeners are not going to want to tackle. The Chicago-born “RAPSTAR” has been in conversations about being one of the best in the modern rap game, to being one of the most up-and-down artists as well. However, he still brings in nearly 24 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and his top five songs total, easily, billions of plays.

Polo G is also a playable character in NBA 2K23, which most rappers cannot make that claim. He is also living an exciting life of a celebrity, so he is certainly not struggling by any means. However, there are some people that believe he has not tapped into his full potential. But, he has the chance to prove the doubters wrong with his next release of Hood Poet, which is rumored to be the title. The reason Hood Poet news is making waves around social media is due to a recent Instagram post from ourgenerationmusic.

What has fans assuming Hood Poet is the next release, are posters in public with lyrics with “H.O.O.D P.O.E.T” under each one. However, a lot of people really do not seem to give a hoot about this news. One person writes, “We don’t care dude is irrelevant.” Another says, “Don’t Care, I’m still waiting for A$AP Rocky’s new album.” Finally, someone goes as far as to say, “If not he may as well retire at this point lol.”

This may be Polo G’s last chance to win fans back over and it might require a tighter track list and a direction to do so. What do you think about these lyric posters around town? Are you excited for more Polo G music, or could you wait for it? Be sure to tell us all your thoughts in the comments section below. Moneybagg Yo Teases New Album & GloRilla Collaboration

Moneybagg Yo is undeniably a household name in the South’s booming hip-hop scene. Beyond that though, he’s also quickly becoming one of the game’s most reliable rappers for hard-hitting bars and storytelling.

On Sunday (January 8), the Memphis native took to his social media accounts to begin teasing his new album. “My Album Is A Heartless Edition Hope Y’all Ready,” he writes in a tweet.

Furthermore, his Instagram account shares a little bit more information surrounding the upcoming release. “22songs[,] Who Y’all Think Features??” the “Me Vs Me” rapper writes in the caption. The second photo in the post is assumedly the album cover.

Additionally, he’s teasing a new collaboration with one of the hottest rappers in the game right now, GloRilla. In the clip, the two Memphis artists are seen turning up to a snippet of their unreleased track together. It appears as though they’ll be exchanging verses, going back and forth over the booming production.

Although he’s been busy dropping singles, music videos and feature verses, Moneybagg Yo’s last album is 2021’s A Gangsta’s Pain. Backed by singles like “Wockesha” and “Time Today,” the project successfully catapulted the 31-year-old into new heights of success.

Yo Gotti officially signed the Memphis native to his label, Collective Music Group (CMG), in 2016. In July of last year, the “Rake It Up” rapper also quickly signed GloRilla to the label. This was shortly following the viral success of her hit song, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).”

Both signees appear on the label’s first collaborative mixtape together, Gangsta Art, which showcases the depth of their rosters’ talents.
