Russell Westbrook has had a very difficult time since being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, the Lakers weren’t exactly the best fit for him. LeBron James is a ball-dominant player and he didn’t mesh well with Russ. Consequently, Russ was sent to the bench by Darvin Ham and became a sixth-man for the team. While this seemed to work out at first, it became clear that the team could use some massive upgrades, altogether. Subsequently, this led to trade talks, and on Wednesday night, a deal finally got done.

Now, Westbrook is a member of the Utah Jazz. Additionally, the Lakers have gotten back players like Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and D’Angelo Russell. Overall, this is a great trade for the Lakers. Meanwhile, the Jazz have some big decisions to make. Although, it has been made clear by numerous reporters that the goal is to actually just buy out Russell Westbrook’s contract. This ultimately makes the Nets a gutted team with just a few players left. One of those players is none other than Ben Simmons. When he was in Philadelphia, Simmons was a player who could carry by himself. Although, this is no longer the case and as you can imagine, the jokes are already starting to fly on social media.

Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets didn’t exactly have the most productive relationship. During their time together, it was clear that they had all sorts of disagreements on how things should be done. In the end, Irving ended up demanding a trade. Subsequently, he was sent to none other than the Dallas Mavericks. Overall, this was a great move for the Mavericks, who now have an otherworldly backcourt that includes both Kyrie and Luka Doncic.

Following this trade, the Brooklyn Nets sat down with Kevin Durant. Of course, without Kyrie on the team, Durant had very few reasons to want to stay in Brooklyn. If you are a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, it has become clear that Russell Westbrook isn’t cut out for the team. Overall, he has been a shell of himself these last couple of seasons. If you have been following the Los Angeles Lakers, you know that there have been plenty of huge Russell Westbrook trade talks. However, there was one point this season when the Lakers were seemingly going to keep Russ. Although now, things may have changed. After all, the team was pursuing Kyrie Irving, and Westbrook was part of those talks. With the trade deadline just a day away, the Lakers need to act fast, and last night’s loss to the OKC Thunder has left a bitter taste in a lot of people’s mouths.

Overall, there isn’t a huge market for Westbrook. At the end of the day, he has one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Furthermore, he only has one year left, which means he will become a free agent. For most teams, he would just be a rental. However, rentals are only good if you are trying to contend for a championship. Needless to say, there aren’t a ton of teams that are a good fit for the point guard. Regardless, the Lakers are working overtime to find a team that will take him.

Now, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers are closing in a deal with the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves. “The Lakers, Jazz and Timberwolves are in discussions on a three-team deal that would send D’Angelo Russell to the Lakers, Russell Westbrook and draft compensation such as a first-round pick to Utah and Mike Conley Jr. to Minnesota,” Charania wrote. Of course, Russell already played for the Lakers, however, that was during the Kobe era. His time with the team came to an unceremonious end thanks to the infamous Iggy Azalea and Nick Young drama. If you’re a Lakers fan, this isn’t the blockbuster deal you were hoping for.

This is still very much a developing story, and there is no guarantee that the deal gets made. If I’m LeBron, I’m probably rushing to Rob Pelinka’s office and vetoing this deal. In the eyes of most NBA fans, Michael Jordan is the GOAT of basketball. However, there has been a renewed debate as it pertains to who truly deserves GOAT status. This is due to the fact that LeBron James has been playing so well at the age of 38. In fact, just last night, James was able to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for first all-time on the scorer’s list. Overall, this is a truly incredible record and it is almost unfathomable that James was able to break it. However, he managed to do it, and he certainly deserves props for this special achievement.

Heading into his game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James was 36 points away from the record. Most analysts had him breaking the record on Thursday. After all, this would be fitting as the Lakers were playing at home against the Bucks, who just so happen to be Kareem’s first team. Instead, LeBron decided to go for it right away, and in the end, his efforts paid off. Now, LeBron can continue building upon this record for years to come.

With LeBron becoming the league’s time leading scorer, Michael Jordan has decided to weigh in. According to Mike J. Babcock of TMZ, Jordan has issued a short message to LeBron. Overall, Jordan was congratulatory in his messaging and we’re sure LeBron will appreciate that. “Congratulations to LeBron on this incredible achievement. It’s a testament to his hard work, longevity, and his great skill,” Jordan said. MJ is one of the most competitive players in the history of the NBA, so we’re sure there is a part of him that would have loved to have beaten the record. Savannah James has been with LeBron since high school. At the time, James was the most hyped-up prospect in the history of the NBA. Overall, he had the weight of the world on his shoulders, and there was no telling whether or not he would truly become a star. Although this is well above his season average, James decided to go for it, and it ultimately paid off. By the third quarter, he had the record, and his family was there to meet him on the court. Anthony Davis Didn’t Seem To Care About LeBron’s Record

When Anthony Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, it was clear that he and LeBron James were the best duo in basketball. Subsequently, in their first season together, LeBron and AD were able to win an NBA championship. Overall, this was an incredible achievement that gave Davis his first title, and LeBron his fourth. In recent years, however, the Lakers have regressed. Davis has dealt with numerous injuries, and there has been this sense that AD could be traded at some point. As for LeBron, he is clearly unhappy with some of the other moves that have been made by the front office.

Yesterday, however, was a much happier day for LeBron and the Lakers franchise. This is because James got to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. The Lakers were playing the Oklahoma City Thunder, and James needed 36 points. Consequently, LeBron was playing with added motivation and he ended up scoring 36 points in just three quarters. Overall, it was an amazing moment that had the entire Lakers bench on their feet. Although, there was one person who did not seem to care.
