GloRilla Looks Almost Unrecognizable While Showing Off Her Natural Hair Growth

GloRilla stole a whole lot of rap fans’ hearts in 2024, if she hadn’t already stolen them from her breakout 2022. As such, fans are always interested to hear what she has to say about her everyday life, especially when it comes to relatable and culturally significant matters such as Black hair. Recently, the “Sticky” femcee took to Instagram to share a picture of her natural hair, along with some insightful comments that caused discussion and community among her fans. “I’m so tender headed I keep my braids up fa a whole 4 months before I get em redid [crying emoji],” she captioned the new photos. “at least my hair growing.”

However, GloRilla now has some other issues to deal with beyond her hair growth, and so do various other of her rap peers. Plies recently launched a lawsuit against her, Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, and Soulja Boy for alleged copyright infringement, claiming that they used his “Me & My Goons” instrumental without proper permission. The tracks in question include Glo, Meg, and Cardi’s “Wanna Be,” plus Soulja’s “Pretty Boy Swag.”

GloRilla’s Natural Hair

Elsewhere, other GloRilla connections to her fanbase didn’t land as universally as these pics of her natural hair, especially when it comes to the United States election. Following Donald Trump’s victorious campaign to be the nation’s president, she made (and then deleted) a joke about birth control reacting to this news. “I been got on birth control anyway,” the Memphis lyricist shared and then rescinded. She previously endorsed Kamala Harris for U.S. president, even performing at her Milwaukee rally recently. There are a lot of other divisive and strong reactions to this political development, but for some folks, it’s still too soon to make light of other issues or even speak on them casually.

But one division that GloRilla wants to combat is her previous and brief beef with former City Girl JT, something that she attributed solely to fanbase bickering during a recent interview. She maintained that they’re actually cool, and that the fans just went too far with their debates. There are plenty of other chances for unity, even through something as seemingly innocuous as hair.

Beyonce’s hair care brand Cécred has gotten some flack online for her use of extensions and for allegedly ripping off a package design. Still, in the face of all that, she still stands by the idea that people who wear wigs or style their hair in an additive way can still have healthy and gorgeous natural hair. Moreover, the Houston superstar recently shared a video in which she shows off her hair and speaks about what processes and routines she likes to indulge in. No matter where you fall on the Cécred debate, that’s no reason to belittle or over-exaggerate her relationship with her locks.

“The stigma and misconception is that people that wear wigs don’t have long and healthy hair,” Beyoncé expressed in the voice-over of the clip below. “That’s some bulls**t, ’cause it ain’t nobody business. I’ll get back to my hair. I like to blow-dry my hair on medium heat, ’cause I try to stay away from as much heat as possible, and using an old-school pressing comb. I’ve chosen color over perms or relaxers. I’ve been using these products, and my hair has never grown so long, never been so moisturized.

Cardi B Shows Off Her Natural Hair And Offers To Teach Fans Haircare

Cardi B if often pictures wearing glamorous outfits, elaborate makeup, and gorgeous looking wigs. But in a new tweet posted Tuesday night, she’s looking all natural and fans still eat it up. In a new very casual photo Cardi poses in the mirror in some casual clothes and lets her natural hair hang down. “My hair has grown sooooo much!!! Let me know if y’all want a video my my HOMEMADE hair oil… handmade by ME!” the caption reads. Unsurprisingly, fans in the comments immediately called for Cardi to enter the haircare game.

“Lemme find out you entering the hair care sector,” one of the top comments reads. “What I’m tryna do with that hair oil because I’m sick of being Baldilocks and the three hairs,” reads another hilarious highly rated comment. One of the biggest Cardi B updates accounts of course tuned in to give their thoughts. “I needed that video like last year! Drop it girl,” they beg for a hair tutorial. They were far from the only ones looking for a deeper dive into Cardi’s haircare routine. “I want a video of the homemade hair oil. But honestly you should bottle it up and sell it ,it will do numbers.”

Cardi B Flaunts Her Natural Hair

Over the weekend a piece of Cardi B memorabilia sold for an impressive amount at auction. A few weeks ago during a show in Las Vegas a fan threw their drink on Cardi. She didn’t appreciate that and retaliated quickly by throwing her microphone at the fan in the crowd. The mic throw became a massive story in the following days as fans poured through footage from the concert including a moment where she asks someone to help cool her off from the Vegas heat.

Cardi B was also briefly investigated by the Vegas police department for potential battery, though it didn’t result in a charge.
