Nate Diaz Chokes Out Man In New Orleans

Nate Diaz hasn’t been in the Octagon since September 2022. Despite scoring a win over Tony Ferguson in that UFC 279 bout, Diaz had refused to re-sign with Dana White’s organization. Diaz, who is 38, is yet to sign another promotion or return to the UFC. His next fight is scheduled to a boxing match.

That brings us to April 21, when Diaz was in New Orleans for Misfits Boxing 6. At the event, Diaz got into a confrontation with Chase DeMoor. DeMoor, a reality star who was fighting on the event’s undercard, was disqualified from his fight after striking his opponent after the final bell. DeMoor was seen heckling Diaz, going as far as to call him a “pussy”, before Diaz responded. Diaz threw a water bottle at DeMoor, who was seated behind him. Diaz was then removed from the venue. However, things escalated for Diaz later in the night.

Diaz Chokes Man On Street

In a video published by TMZ, Diaz was seen arguing with a man outside the venue of the boxing event. To clarify before we continue, this was not a continuation of the argument with DeMoor. The two briefly engage in a physical altercation before Diaz caught the man in a choke hold. Diaz does not release the man until he is unconscious before letting him fall to the ground. It is unknown at this time what the extent of the man’s injuries are, or if the police have become involved. The man in question bears a striking resemblance to YouTuber and WWE star, Logan Paul.

What is known, however, is that the video quickly went viral. There was brief speculation that the man was Logan Paul but his actual identity is still unknown. The video garnered reactions from White (“He knocked him out? Whoever that, is he knocked him out! He choked him out!) and Conor McGregor (“Lovely little knee to the body hahahaa. Hahaha Nate on a rampage tonight! Let’s go Nate! Hahaha.”). Diaz is currently scheduled to fight Jake Paul in August. However, if there are any updates on his NOLA confrontation, be sure to check back here at HotNewHipHop.

Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz Set For August

Jake Paul has proven many doubters wrong with his boxing skills. The former child star has defeated MMA stars like Tyron Woodly and Anderson Silva. Also even took Tommy Fury to a split decision, in which Paul lost. The loss to Fury was Paul’s first loss inside a boxing ring. However, that isn’t stopping Paul from getting back in the ring. Because it was reported on Wednesday that Paul has found his next opponent, Nate Diaz.

Paul vs. Diaz is slated for August 5th of this year. The big fight will be held under the Most Valuable Promotions banner. As well as being live on DAZN PPV. This fight has long been rumored to be Paul’s next appearance in the ring. Now the dream is a reality. Diaz will join the ranks of fellow MMA legends that have shared the circle with Paul. However, Diaz may be the best boxer of all the former MMA legends that Paul has faced. The bout could potentially be the most watched fight of Paul’s so far in his career.

Jake Paul Is Getting What He Asked For In Diaz

Diaz, along with his brother Nick, are favorites among the MMA fanbase. The Diaz brothers always show up to fight. While never giving the fans a boring showing. The fight between Paul and Diaz is just screaming money. Both fighters know how to work a mic in the buildup as well. Diaz has already been a part of one of the biggest rivalries in the fighting realm with Conor McGregor. The pair have split their fights at 1-1. However, a third has yet to be discussed between them.

There’s no need to discuss what the biggest fight event of the summer will be. Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz will even bring non-fight fans to the party. Paul’s name still brings a heavy draw. So does his brother Logan, who is a current WWE superstar. One can only hope that we see both brother duos during the buildup of this one. However, the Pauls better be ready. The Diaz brothers do not come to play. What are your thoughts on the big fight announcement? Will you be watching Paul vs. Diaz?
