Tyla Didn’t Know Who Nancy Pelosi Was Despite Grammys Photo

Tyla has admitted hat she “had no idea” who Nancy Pelosi was when the former Speaker of the House asked for a picture at the Grammys. “I had no idea. I didn’t know who she was, honestly, but I think she may have known [me] because she asked to take a picture with me.” The photo of the two soon made the rounds online, which left many wanting to know the backstory. I was like, ‘OK, cool,”. She held my hand, and I was like, ‘Are you sure we should hold hands?’ Because I didn’t know. I was kind of feeling a bit tight, but she was like, ‘Hold my hand, hold my hand.’ It was cute,” Tyla told PEOPLE.

However, someone Tyla did recognize was Cher. “I was like, ‘What the heck?’ I was literally in so much shock. I love her. She’s always been an inspo. I can’t wait to even tell my kids, that’s how much of a good time I had,” the singer gushed.

GloRilla Dodges Joe Biden Endorsement While Discussing White House Trip

Elsewhere, GloRilla made sure to keep herself firmly apolitical when talking about her recent trip to the White House. Glo shut down CNN when the outlet asked her if she had been invited to the White House to endorse Joe Biden. “That ain’t got nothing to do with me. I’m just livin’ life like it’s golden,” Glo replied. Glo attended a White House function earlier this week as part of Women’s History Month. This included a semi-viral moment in which she got President Biden to say “Yeah Glo”.

Of course, Glo’s star continues to shine brighter and brighter. Last month, she linked up with LeBron James in LA. LeBron stopped to take pictures with the Memphis femcee as well as enjoying a brief conversation with her. Furthermore, LeBron was also seen singing along to “Yeah, Glo!” when it was played over the Crypto.com Arena PA and was also reportedly seen dancing to more of her music in the locker room.

Tyla told a hilarious story about meeting Nancy Pelosi, the former House Speaker, during a pre-Grammy gala last month. The “Water” musician did an interview with People Magazine about the night they met, where she revealed she was very confused by the encounter.

“I had no idea,” she shared. “I didn’t know who she was, honestly, but I think she may have known [me] because she asked to take a picture with me.” The photo of the two soon made the rounds online, which left many wanting to know the backstory.

“I was like, ‘OK, cool,’” Tyla added. “She held my hand, and I was like, ‘Are you sure we should hold hands?’ Because I didn’t know. I was kind of feeling a bit tight, but she was like, ‘Hold my hand, hold my hand.’ It was cute.”

Throughout the rest of that party, Tyla also met Cher — and freaked out because she knew her as one of her idols. “I was like, ‘What the heck?’ I was literally in so much shock. I love her,” Tyla dished. “She’s always been an inspo… I can’t wait to even tell my kids, that’s how much of a good time I had.”

Donald Trump Condemns Nancy Pelosi To “Someday Live In HELL”

Donald Trump slammed Nancy Pelosi in an unhinged rant on Truth Social, Sunday, after the congresswoman compared Trump’s lack of characteristic enthusiasm during his arraignment on Thursday to that of a “sad puppy.” Pelosi had spoken about Trump’s latest indictment while appearing on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Report.

“I purposely didn’t comment on Nancy Pelosi’s very weird story concerning her husband, but now I can because she said something about me, with glee, that was really quite vicious. ‘I saw a scared puppy,’ she said, as she watched me on television, like millions of others, that didn’t see that,” Trump began in his post. He added: “I wasn’t ‘scared.’ Nevertheless, how mean a thing to say! She is a Wicked Witch whose husbands journey from hell starts and finishes with her. She is a sick & demented ps*cho who will someday live in HELL!”

From there, Trump published more posts about his latest indictment. Escalating to all-caps, the former president continued: “NO WAY I CAN GET A FAIR TRIAL, OR EVEN CLOSE TO A FAIR TRIAL, IN WASHINGTON, D.C. THERE ARE MANY REASONS FOR THIS, BUT JUST ONE IS THAT I AM CALLING FOR A FEDERAL TAKEOVER OF THIS FILTHY AND CRIME RIDDEN EMBARRASSMENT TO OUR NATION, WHERE MURDERS HAVE JUST SHATTERED THE ALL TIME RECORD, OTHER VIOLENT CRIMES HAVE NEVER NEEN WORSE, AND TOURISTS HAVE FLED. THE FEDERAL TAKEOVER IS VERY UNPOPULAR WITH POTENTIAL AREA JURORS, BUT NECESSARY FOR SAFETY, GREATNESS, & FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE!”

Donald Trump Calls Out Nancy Pelosi

For his third indictment, Trump faces four charges in regard to his efforts to maintain the presidency despite his 2020 election loss. They are in reference to January 6, 2021, and the infamous Capitol riot.

Nancy Pelosi Pushes TikTok Ban on Government Devices for New Funding Bill

a

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is supporting legislation calls to ban TikTok on government devices. Pelosi is backing funding that received unanimous support and is close to being in place next week.

The bill will head to President Biden’s desk for a signature once it is adopted in a Senate version of the government funding bill.

According to The Hill, The Senate unanimously approved Sen. Josh Hawley’s “No TikTok on Government Devices Act” this past Wednesday, prohibiting the downloading or using of the video-sharing app TikTok on “any device issued by the United States or a government corporation” by certain figures in government.

GOP-led states are also pushing for a federal ban on the Chinese-owned social media app.

In response, TikTok’s Brooke Oberwetter states, “politicians with national security concerns should encourage the Administration to conclude its national security review of TikTok.”

“The agreement under review will meaningfully address any security concerns that have been raised at both the federal and state level. These plans have been developed under the oversight of our country’s top national security agencies—plans that we are well underway in implementing—to further secure our platform in the United States, and we will continue to brief lawmakers on them.”

Democratic Leaders Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and NY Mayor Eric Adams Slam Supreme Court Ruling Overturning Roe V. Wade

Roe V. Wade Eric Adams

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are ripping the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe V. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that led to the legalization of abortion in America.

Pelosi said a “radical Supreme Court” is eviscerating the health and safety of American women.  She also accused Republicans of plotting a nationwide abortion ban.  The high court’s ruling leaves abortion up to individual states.

Speaking with reporters, Pelosi vowed, “Reproductive freedom is on the ballot” in November’s midterm elections. She said the high court has reversed a constitutional right that has existed for nearly 50 years, calling it a “dangerous decision.” Pelosi also labeled the ruling cruel and heart wrenching.

According to NBC News, in a statement Schumer called it “one of the darkest days our country has ever seen.” The New York Democrat added, “Millions upon millions of American women are having their rights taken from them by unelected justices on the extremist MAGA court.”

MAGA is shorthand for former President Trump’s longtime slogan, Make America Great Again.

Other officials reacting to the Roe V. Wade decision is New York City Mayor Eric Adams, condemning the ruling, calling it an affront to human rights that shackles women and others to “reproductive bondage.” Adams says the Supreme Court has ignored the opinions of the majority of Americans.

Abortion is still legal in New York, even for those coming from out of state.

Nancy Pelosi Read A Bono Poem About Ukraine And St. Patrick’s Day, Which Prompted Many Jokes On Twitter

Earlier today, Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi declared that at today’s Annual Friends Of Ireland Luncheon, she would be reading “reading a poem written by Bono about Ukraine.”

Initially, Dan Evon of Snopes speculated Pelosi meant she would be reading a poem by Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, which U2 shared on Twitter earlier this month. That proved not to be the case, though, as the publication confirmed with Pelosi’s spokesperson that the Speaker did actually plan to read a new poem penned by the U2 singer. Now, that reading has taken place and Twitter users have plenty of hilarious thoughts about it.

Pelosi noted the Irish musician and philanthropist sent her the poem this morning and it references St. Patrick’s Day and the ongoing situation in Ukraine. The poem concludes, “Ireland’s sorrow and pain / is now the Ukraine / and St. Patrick’s name now Zelenskyy.”

After the reading, Bono became a trending topic on Twitter as users came in hot with jokes. One wrote, “Just to let the Russians know, if the Bono poem doesn’t work, we’ve got a celebrity rendition of Imagine over Zoom that we can roll out.” Another quipped, “Between Bono’s poem and the TikTok dancers, Putin is toast.”

Some users even speculated what they thought the poem would be:
