If there are only two buzzy hot topics right now, they’d be AI and country music. 50 Cent has found a way to involve himself with both, posting an AI-generated remix of one of his biggest hits.
“My country album on the way,” he joked in the post, sharing a video of the Pro Tools session for the remix. “Beyoncé ain’t got sh*t on me.”
Yes, that is an AI-generated Conway Twitty singing 50’s breakout smash, “In Da Club.” Is it kind of fire? That probably depends on your personal taste, but … it sure is something.
At least 50’s taking a break from roasting other stars to let himself be the butt of the joke for once. His last big use of AI was to troll his apparent business rival, Diddy, but the creepy AI Tupac didn’t do him any favors. He’s had better luck terrorizing the Bad Boy Records founder with his documentary about Diddy’s misdeeds which was recently picked up by Netflix after a bidding war.
However, everything isn’t all sunny for 50. He was recently sued by his ex Daphne Joy Narvaez, who accused him of similar crimes to those of his enemy Diddy. In response, he countersued for defamation.
Last year, The Kid Laroi showed GQ the tattoo that Post Malone drew onto his thigh, and it was “a stick figure cowboy that has angel wings and is wearing clogs.” Steve-O’s entire persona is based upon upping the ante to an absurd or dangerous degree, so, of course, his purported Post Malone-drawn tattoo would blow Laroi’s out of the water.
Steve-O will turn 50 on Thursday, June 13, and he shared his celebratory plans with Page Six.
“I’m getting my first face tattoo,” the Jackass star said. “Post Malone is going to tattoo a d*ck on my forehead.
He continued, “That’s the plan. He asked, ‘Is it going to be a ch*de?’ And I don’t even know what a ch*de is!”
Of course, this is Steve-O. It is always on the board that he’s trolling everyone and has absolutely no intention to get an explicit image permanently plastered onto his forehead. But, if any two people were to do this, it would absolutely be Post Malone and Steve-O. They already have gave each other matching “Ghost Malone” tattoos in 2022, as seen in this video.
Ever since Sexyy Red blew up with “Pound Town,” fans can’t help but speculate about the St. Louis rapper’s dating life. So far, she’s been linked to Drake, who some fans even connected to her second pregnancy, and more recently, her “Bow Bow Bow” collaborator, Chief Keef. She hasn’t done much to dispel either rumor; in fact, over the weekend, she threw fuel on the flames of the latter with a pair of provocative posts on Instagram.
In the first, she and the Chicago rapper appear to be flirtatiously embracing as she sticks her tongue out.
As fans in the comments questioned the nature of the duo’s relationship, Sexyy posted a video in which she and Keef hug up on each other as she insists, “That’s my brother.”
So does this mean that the two rappers are dating? Not necessarily, but for now, the jury is out. While she seems to enjoy teasing fans over her love life, she doesn’t have any interest in shutting down rumors the way she did a conspiracy theory about getting paid to hang out with Drake.
In any event, Sexyy appears to be enjoying her newfound fame. On Saturday, she hosted WWE’s NXT Battleground event in Las Vegas, and looked like she had the time of her life, interacting with the wrestlers, presenting the championship belt, and twerking her way throughout the facility.
Over the last couple of years, Nigerian afrobeats singer Asake has blossomed into one of the biggest names in the genre and an artist recognized globally. Asake’s Lungu Boy World Tour will begin with two festival dates, the first being AfroNation in Portugal on June 26 and the second in London for Wireless Festival on July 13. A month later, the US leg of the tour begins in Washington D.C. and ends in New York at Madison Square Garden after six shows across the country. Lastly, the tour will wrap up with five dates in Europe and one in Australia.
Tickets for the North American leg of the tour are available starting on Wednesday, June 12 at 10am local time through an artist presale. Additional pre-sales will run though the week leading up to the general sale, which begins on Friday, June 14 at 10am local time on asaketour.com.
For tickets for shows in Europe and the United Kingdom, sales will go on sale beginning with a Mastercard presale in France and Netherlands starting from Wednesday, June 12th at 10am local until Friday, June 14th. Rick Ross is well-known among rap fans for grandiosity and excess. Consequently he’s spent big money on houses, cars, chains, and many more things over the years. In the process he’s amounted quite an impressive collection of various unique items and memorabilia. Now he’s giving others a chance to look into his collection and even potentially bid on some of the items. That’s coming through his recently announced “Push It To The Limit: Luxury & Lifestyle” charity auction. It’s taking place simultaneous in LA and online later this month.
Ross also shared a statement explaining how he arrived at the decision to have an auction for some of his possessions. “I looked around one day and marveled at how blessed I am. I wanted to figure out how to be a blessing to others and share some of the dopest, rarest luxuries with the world that I’ve collected over the course of my career. Inspired by my brother Pharrell, I thought of an auction with the proceeds to help the next generation of bosses. It was the most player and sustainable way to not only touch my fans but also pour into a community that has poured into me,” his statement reads. The auction is being run by Julien’s Auctions. Sexyy Red is one of hip-hop’s biggest exponents right now, and it’s no secret that the gap between her core fanbase and her casual hype-chasers is growing with this rise. Apparently, this led to an unfortunate situation at the Newark airport over the weekend, as authorities reportedly arrested her due to an altercation with fans and security. Moreover, one of the theories and allegations floating around online is that Chief Keef’s rumored boo confronted a fan for taking a non-consensual picture of her and her bodyguard. Also, it’s unknown whether officials also arrested other members of her entourage due to a video that she published online at around 5:30AM local time.
Furthermore, Sexyy Red let fans know that authorities released her from custody, presumably shortly after the incident, from a crowded vehicle. Also, she wrote the following message on her Instagram Story: “To the people that was in that altercation at the airport please dm me so I can replace yo phone !!” As such, we still don’t really know what went down with the St. Louis MC and whether or not this is fully accurate. Either way, she was quickly back online to show love to Drake’s IG, so it seems like things wrapped up pretty quickly if something actually caused a scuffle.

Of course, this could be a big roadblock for any artist, so hopefully this alleged situation doesn’t escalate further and already resolved itself. At least, once Sexyy Red replaces someone’s phone, that is. Elsewhere, though, she’s looking forward to applying more pressure this year through more moves and collaborations, including a teased one with the aforementioned Chief Keef. The “Grape Trees” duo has been filming a music video as of late, presumably for that very same collab.
With all this in mind, we can’t wait to see what else Sexyy Red does with her 2024 and we hope that it doesn’t involve any more contentious fan interactions or security issues. She’s very proud to be one of the hottest femcees out right now, and it’s a status that we’re sure she won’t let go of anytime soon. With a project and various other releases already set in stone, this stamp on the year is already established. We’ll see what else Sexyy adds to that repertoire.

The Georgia Mass Band performed Kendrick Lamar’s viral diss track, “Not Like Us,” in a clip circulating on social media, this week. The move comes as the song continues to break Spotify records, having now reached 300 million streams in just over a month. Lamar is currently on pace for the biggest streaming year of his career.
Fans on social media had mixed responses to the performance. “Bro, this sh*t finna last a whole year, the summer is just getting started,” one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote. Another joked: “Wait until Southern and Grambling get a hold of it.. lol.” Other users brought up the fact that Joe Budden foreshadowed this happening on his podcast. “GEORGIA @iamstillpunch @DJHed @ElliottWilson @JoeBudden said this on his @JoeBuddenPod (You better be glad it’s not HBCU season NOW,” one user wrote. “They practicing for this Fall @oldmanebro @dangerookipawaa #NotLikeUs @Akademiks.”

He might be a Grammy-winning songwriter, and behind numerous hits, but The-Dream might also be a nightmare for a few. Terius Youngdell Nash, better known as The-Dream, is a celebrated figure in the music industry and a magnet for drama and scandals. The songwriter and producer gained recognition for his work with notable high-profile artists, contributing to hit songs such as Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” Mariah Carey’s “Obsessed,” and Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” The-Dream’s career, punctuated by both musical genius and personal drama, has kept him in the public eye for more reasons than just his chart-topping hits. Now, he faces some seriously damning allegations of rape and sexual assault. Here are some of his wildest controversies to date.
In 2010, Oakland-based songwriters accused Mariah Carey and The-Dream of stealing music from their 2008 song “Are You the One” for “Love vs. Money,” a track on The-Dream’s album. Marshall and Driver sued them for $450,000 for copyright infringement. Four years later, the parties settled. In February, Carey agreed to dismiss all claims against her, and in April, The-Dream settled with Marshall and Driver under the same terms as Carey. According to the agreement, each party would pay its own legal fees.
2011: A Cheating Scandal
The-Dream married singer and actress Christina Milian in September 2009. Just five months after their wedding, he filed for divorce, nine months before the birth of Milian’s daughter Violet. Although they had been dating for a few months, their marriage was a celebrated affair that came to an end very quickly. He declared that he and Milian’s marriage was irrevocably broken and had no hope for reconciliation. However, before the divorce was finalized, photos of The-Dream vacationing in the Caribbean with his assistant, Melissa Santiago, surfaced and quickly spread.
In response, he issued a public apology on his website, apologizing to everyone involved. A year later, in an issue of Latina, Milian opened up about her marriage to The-Dream, and the drama surrounding it. What particularly stood out was when she confessed that she had known nothing about his cheating. “I’ve been to hell and back, but I survived,” she said. “I tried to be someone I wasn’t because I wanted my marriage to work. But ultimately, if it’s not working, it’s not working… I didn’t know anything. Looking back, my gut was telling me something was off. But I thought I could fix it.”
2012: Parenting Issues
As if the very public divorce wasn’t enough, the exes went on a dramatic and feud-filled post-divorce period. However, one of the issues that caught public attention was Christina Milian opening up about The-Dream’s absence in their daughter’s life. In an interview with The Box, Christina explained that The-Dream does not try to see or spend time with their daughter. She stated: “I’m not happy at the moment, but I have come to the realization that I have to be 200% mum for her and it’s not about finances, it’s about spending time… I’m not one of those who withhold their children from their baby daddy. I don’t do that.”
The interview immediately stirred up drama and backlash on The-Dream’s end as fans and onlookers quickly brought up his interview with Parlour Magazine. Specifically, the singer had mentioned that he would not help raise his daughter. He stated: “I don’t because my ‘helping out’ turns into expectations. I’ll get Violet on a late night maybe one or two times, but after that, no. If Christina’s tired, call the nanny, call Violet’s granny. We got people.”
In 2014, The-Dream’s drama took a more violent turn. According to TMZ, He was arrested on charges of felony assault and strangulation, along with misdemeanor assault, reckless endangerment, and child endangerment. His then-pregnant ex-girlfriend, Lydia Nam filed the complaint and claimed he assaulted her in a fit of rage in 2013. The alleged assault reportedly occurred at New York’s Plaza Hotel three months before the birth of their son. Nam delayed filing a police report until November for undisclosed reasons. The-Dream had previously denied the allegations, and there was speculation that Nam might have been using the accusation to extend her visa. Ultimately, the D.A. rejected the case after Nam refused to press charges and the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. Regardless, the case drew significant media attention and the incident left a stain on his songwriter’s image.
2024: The-Dream Faces Rape Allegations
Drama has once again found The-Dream in 2024. He is being accused of rape and sexual battery, among other allegations, by his former protégée, Chanaaz Mangroe, also known as Channii Monroe. In her suit, she claims that in 2015, The-Dream used promises of career advancement to entangle her in an abusive relationship. Furthermore, he also allegedly repeatedly forced her to have sex with him, and strangled her. She also alleges that he once made a video recording of an intimate encounter and threatened to show it to others.
Additionally, the suit accuses him of sex trafficking. In response to the suit, The-Dream released a statement through his representative, denying the allegations. “These claims are untrue and defamatory. I oppose all forms of harassment and have always strived to help people realize their career goals. As someone committed to making a positive impact on my fellow artists and the world at large, I am deeply offended and saddened by these accusations.”
Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is barely a month old, and yet it already feels like it’s broken every Spotify rap song record under the sun as far as streaming numbers go. Moreover, you’ve probably seen this headline a lot, and it’s because people can’t get enough of this Drake diss and are looking forward to more moments with it. After all, K.Dot will likely premiere this song live in Los Angeles for his “Pop Out” Juneteenth concert, and we’re sure that if he plays it, the energy will be astounding. Anticipation for it, plus it being such a catchy song despite its subject matter, are some factors as to why it became the fastest rap song in Spotify history to surpass 300 million streams on the platform (35 days).
Of course, this might paint this rap battle as a clear victory, but both Drake and Kendrick Lamar fans have arguments for it being much closer than some folks give it credit for. Even though some people think that The Boy is acting deludedly by calling K.Dot a “one-trick pony” with his latest IG troll, his disses did contain more sharp writing than some expected. Regardless, it’s clear that numbers-wise, there is definitely a first place finish with “Not Like Us.” But as rap beef, discussion, and the genre’s artistry proves time and time again, numbers don’t really matter at the end of the day.
Well, unless Kendrick Lamar is your GOAT, in which case you’ve never cared more about numbers. But light hypocrisy and confirmation bias aside, the acclaim and success behind “Not Like Us” is one of the most astonishing and unlikely hits of hip-hop’s 2024. In fact, it’s the principal driving factor behind this year in particular perhaps going down as Kendrick’s biggest streaming year of his career so far. We’ll see if this ends up being the case by the time December rolls around.
Actually, the new album rumors are rampant, and while it’s tough to call how fans will perceive this move after the Drake beef, they will likely celebrate its purely hypothetical announcement regardless. Maybe Kendrick Lamar really did just want to pop out and will use his Juneteenth show to wrap things up and leave us waiting for his next project. Or he’s about to have one of the most dominant and eventful years any rapper has ever had. Ever! And so could Drizzy if he drops something long-form, so we’ll see whether or not this dead horse is one we’ll be beating all the way to New Year’s.
