DJ Akademiks Left In A State Of Dismay And Despair As Kendrick Lamar Performs His Drake Disses

DJ Akademiks has been firmly on the side of Drake during the feud with Kendrick Lamar. Overall, we have seen that time and time against with some of Ak’s comments. Furthermore, during last night’s “Pop Out” show, Ak was coming through with some truly biased tweets. It was pretty sad to watch go down, as you could see the narrative spin in real-time. Having said that, it was Akademiks’s stream that brought forth some truly hilarious gems.

Throughout the evening, Akademiks appeared to be in absolute disbelief at what he was seeing. Firstly, he was truly shocked by the fact that Tyler, The Creator was on stage. However, his disbelief grew larger as Kendrick opened his show with “Euphoria.” Subsequently, Kendrick changed up some lyrics in the song to take even more shots at Drake. Akademiks could not believe it and couldn’t help but put his hands in his head.

DJ Akademiks Was Not Happy

The reactions truly ramped up as Kendrick started to perform “Not Like Us.” Akademiks seemed to be on the verge of tears. Moreover, once he saw Russell Westbrook and DeMar DeRozan on stage, he knew it was a wrap. Perhaps the funniest part of all of this is the fact that Akademiks was still vibing to the music. Overall, it just goes to show that “Not Like Us” is a truly undeniable track. Even Kendrick’s biggest haters can’t even pretend to hate that song.

Let us know what you think of these reactions from DJ Akademiks, in the comments section down below. Do you think that Akademiks might be a bit too invested with all of the Kendrick and Drake stuff? Drake Could Be Plotting Revenge Against Kendrick Lamar Despite Nonchalant “Summer League” Post

Drake is easily one of the biggest artists in the entire world, however, his beef with Kendrick Lamar has shown that the mystique can wear off. Overall, fans believe Drake lost, and badly too. Moreover, with Kendrick hosting “The Pop Out” last night, there is no doubt that things were not good for the Toronto artists on Wednesday. The song “Not Like Us” was played five times in a row. Moreover, Whitney Alford was in attendance at the show, which dispelled some of the narratives in Drizzy’s diss tracks.

Following the show, some were wondering how Drake may respond. After all, we do know that he likes to lurk the internet to see what people are saying. Well, OVO Mark posted a photo of the OVO crew with Drake, and in this image, the superstar is wearing a shirt that says “Revenge.” Of course, this is an Ian Connor brand, although the word itself is what fans are zeroing in on. Now, some believe a song, music video, or even some kind of diss is in the works.

Drake x OVO Mark

Despite this, on Drake’s social media, he seemed to be chilling. We say this because of his Instagram story in which he simply wrote “Summer League.” It’s unclear what Drake even meant by this, although we’re sure we will find out soon. If there is one thing for certain, it is that “The Pop Out” reinvigorated everyone’s thoughts and feelings towards the feud. For now, that does not benefit Kendrick in any way.

Summer League?

Let us know what you thought of the performances from last night, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this was one of the biggest concerts in the history of hip-hop? How did you feel about the artists Kendrick brought out? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

BG’s Legal Issues Spell Trouble For Cash Money Millionaires Reunion

BG has had a less-than-ideal career. The rapper broke through as a core member of Cash Money Millionaires in the 1990s, and even scored a solo hit with “Bling Bling.” Unfortunately, legal troubles followed. BG pled guilty to two counts of possession of a firearm and served prison time from 2012 to 2023. The rapper has been hyping up a Cash Money Millionaires reunion since he got out. But his legal complications may prove to be the thing that keeps the reunion from actually coming together.

BG, real name Christopher Dorsey, has had the lyrical content of his music restricted. Court documents reveal that BG was released on the condition that he submit lyrics to a probation officer before releasing any songs. This was ordered by Judge Susie Morgan, according to The Guardian. BG’s lawyers tried to contest this condition on the grounds that it violates First Amendment rights. Morgan claimed that the decision was made to keep BG from “promoting and glamorizing gun violence and murder” in his music. This is an issue for a prospective Cash Money reunion. The glamorization of gun violence and murder is a huge part of the group’s M.O.

BG Has Appealed His Lyrical Restrictions In Court

BG criticized Morgan’s decision, according to The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate. “I just feel like Christopher Dorsey and BG are two different people,” he explained to judge. “It’s basically like telling Robert De Niro he can’t make any mob movies. The rapper went on to reference the intentionally of his music. “I just did a hard 12 and a half years,” he noted. “In no way am I glorifying. I’m just being creative from coming up in a messed-up environment. I’m just rapping about what I know.” Judge Morgan has yet to make a ruling on BG’s appeal.

BG’s future with Cash Money Millionaires hangs in the balance. The rapper planned to reunite with the group at Essence Festival in July. If he’s legally prohibited from spitting his old lyrics, however, he will be forced to sit out the performance. BG would also be forced to change the subject matter of his upcoming album. The rapper reunited with Birdman and Juvenile in the studio in April, and told Instagram followers that he scored a collaboration with Lil Wayne. “Weezy sent me the verse back for the album,” he stated. “I told him I wanted the mixtape Weezy. He gave me the mixtape Weezy.” We hope BG is able to match “mixtape Weezy” without suffering legal consequences.

50 Cent Accused Of Skipping Deposition In Microphone Throwing Case

50 Cent is a busy man. Between selling documentaries to Netflix and squashing beefs with Tyler Perry, the rapper apparently forgot about his court date. 50 was sued by Power 106 host Bryhana Monegain for allegedly throwing a microphone at her during a 2023 performance. Monegain made several attempts to get the rapper in court for a deposition. According to documents obtained by In Touch Weekly, however, 50 Cent has missed all of them. The latest of these deposition dates was set for June 13.

Monegain’s legal team have reportedly asked 50 Cent for a convenient deposition date multiple times. He has not provided them with one, and did not appear at the aforementioned June 13 date. Monegain’s team is now requesting the court’s help in getting the rapper to show up. A motion was filed to order 50 to appear before a judge on the rescheduled date of August 5. “Due to the pendency of the August 5, 2024, mediation date,” the document read. “An Order compelling [50] to sit for deposition and provide testimony must be made forthwith.” Monegain is seeking $5K in sanctions.

The incident that spawned the lawsuit happened on August 3, 2023. Bryhana Monegain attended 50 Cent’s show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. She claimed that the rapper noticed his mic was malfunctioning during his performance, and promptly threw it into the crowd. Monegain then stated that the microphone struck her in the face, causing lasting injuries. She not only claimed that the microphone incident caused her emotional distress, due to medical bills, but specific, painful, physical injuries as well. The court documents state that the Power 106 host suffered a “concussion, a forehead laceration and bruises to her body.”

50 Cent’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, dismissed these claims outright. “Let’s be very clear,” the lawyer told Page Six. “As I told LAPD this afternoon, my client, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone. Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.” Monegain filed a police report against the rapper, but the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office did not move forward with charges.

Kendrick Lamar’s Fiancée Whitney Alford And Kids Spotted At “Pop Out” Show

Kendrick Lamar was declared the winner of the Drake battle. His songs hit harder, and did better on the Billboard charts. If there was any doubt as to whether he was the victor, it was squashed on Juneteenth. The rapper put on his “Pop Out” show in Los Angeles, which featured appearances from a host of icons and TDE affiliates. The most surprising appearance of the night, however, came from Kendrick Lamar’s fiancée, Whitney Alford.

Alford was spotted by fans during the concert. iPhone footage was taken of Alford sitting next to her and Lamar’s kids. Innocuous on the surface, but those who have been keeping up with the Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake battle know that Alford’s presence was not guaranteed going into the evening. Drake has made grim accusations against Lamar on record. Many of them had to do with Alford, and the rumor that the Compton rapper has been abusive towards her. Drake made this claim on the chilling “Family Matters.” “They hired a crisis management team,” he spit. “To clean up the fact that you beat on your queen.”

Kendrick Lamar’s Family Was In Attendance

Drake also cast doubt on Alford’s relationship with Kendrick Lamar’s business partner, Dave Free. He went as far as to speculate that Free is the real father of Lamar and Alford’s son. These rumors have persisted for weeks. Fans pointed out that Whitney Alford failed to wish Lamar a Happy Father’s Day, despite previously wishing herself a Happy Mother’s Day on social media. Drake’s accusations have remained purely speculative, however. Alford has never addressed the rapper’s claims, nor has she publicly spoken about her relationship with Lamar.

The only time Whitney Alford has talked about Lamar, in fact, has been on record. She narrates three different songs on the rapper’s Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers (2022), including the album opener, “United In Grief.” Alford is also photographed holding her son on the cover. Kendrick Lamar does not speak about his fiancée, either, but he did admit to relationship woes in Mr. Morale‘s penultimate song, “Mother I Sober.” “I made it home, seven years of tour, chasin’ manhood,” he rapped. “But Whitney’s gone, by time you hear this song.” It appears, at least, publicly, that the two have figured things out.
