Drake Takes Action Against Metro Boomin Following “Her Loss” Comments

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the entire world, and as a result, he is always up for some awards. For instance, at the Grammys next year, he will be up for rap album of the year. Overall, this is all thanks to his collaborative project with 21 Savage. Fans love this album and it only makes sense that he would get some recognition for it. He is up against stiff competition, including Travis Scott’s Utopia, and even Metro Boomin for Heroes & Villains. It will definitely be hard for him to go out and win.

Having said that, there appears to be a feud brewing between he and Metro Boomin. In a recent yet now-deleted Twitter rant, Metro said that he was frustrated with Her Loss winning all of the awards. He acknowledged that his own album had better streaming numbers and that he deserved it a bit more. Of course, fans found these comments to be pretty wild when you consider how Metro has worked with Drake in the past. Now, however, it seems like there have been some consequences.

Drake Unfollows All Who Cross Him

In the tweet above, it was revealed that Drake actually unfollowed Metro Boomin on Instagram. Although Metro still follows Drizzy, the latter decided to take some action. Overall, it seems pretty clear as to why this happened. With Metro talking about Drake’s album so recklessly, he has since been taken out of the rapper’s circle. Needless to say, things may just get a bit awkward at the Grammys as both of these artists look to take home the big win.

Hopefully, these two can find a way to reconcile their differences. After all, they have made some amazing music together, and we would hate to see egos get in the way. Let us know your thoughts on all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the music world. Sauce Walka Was Arrested After A High-Speed Chase With Police Ending In A Car Crash

Houston rapper Sauce Walka was arrested last night (December 6) after leading police on a 130 mph chase which ended when he crashed his vehicle, according to FOX Houston. He’s since been charged with evading arrest according to Houston Chronicle, and was released on a $15,000 bond, per The New York Post. It remains unclear exactly what prompted the chase, but a video on the rapper’s Instagram Story insists that he’s okay.

“I want to tell all my fans that I appreciate y’all for your care and concern,” he says. “I’m good, I’m straight. I made it through a catastrophic accident and the Super Saiyan that I am, I’m still here, I’m good, I’m healthy and will continue to be wealthy. Right now, I’m incarcerated but I should be getting out soon. I’ma drop a video for y’all ’cause I know y’all miss me. And I’ve been working hard so I’ve got some more work I’ma drop for y’all.”

Walka has been a fixture of the Houston underground scene for a little under a decade, releasing a never-ending stream of independently-produced mixtapes, most recently the August release Dat Boy Den in partnership with Empire. Walka had previously pled guilty to deadly conduct after a shooting in 2009, while several members of his label The Sauce Factory were arrested on racketeering charges last December, after he’d previously told local news, “I know we’re not a gang.”

That case could draw attention as one of a slew of cases nationwide in which rap crews have been accused of gang activity, including the ongoing case against Young Thug in Atlanta.

Why Is Daddy Yankee Retiring From Music?

A while back, Daddy Yankee had revealed that he would be retiring from music. Now, during his recent concert at Coliseo José Miguel Agrelot stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he provided fans with more of an explanation as to why. Here’s what to know.

Why Is Daddy Yankee Retiring From Music?

Daddy Yankee, whose real name is Ramón Rodríguez, revealed that he wants to focus on religion and dedicate his life to Jesus instead.

“My people, this is the most important day of my life. I want to share it… because living a life of success is not the same as living a life of purpose,” he said, according to a translation from Spanish via NME.

“This is why tonight I acknowledge that Jesus lives for me – and I will live for him,” Rodríguez added. “All of the tools that I have within my power – like music, social media, my platform, the mic, everything that God gave me is now for him.”

At the end of his speech, Daddy Yankee declared, “I am human and everyone that follows me should follow Jesus Christ.”

He also took to social media to share the clip of his speech. At the show, it ended with fireworks that showed a cross and the translated message of “Christ loves you.”

Cassie’s Friend Detailed How Diddy Traumatized Them Both In An Open Letter

Although “Me & U” singer Cassie Ventura had already agreed to settle her abuse and sexual assault lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs, the fallout from the suit refuses to do the same. In the aftermath of the quick settlement, three more women have filed similar lawsuits against Combs. While Combs’ representatives have denied the accusations, calling the lawsuits a string of “money grabs,” Rolling Stone has published an open letter from songwriter Tiffany Red, who worked with Cassie, in which she corroborates some of the singer’s accusations against Diddy.

In the letter, Red cites fears for her safety as her reason for coming forward now; the lawsuit alludes to her while not mentioning her by name. She writes that she hopes that publicly revealing her identity will help protect her. She details how she and Cassie became close while writing songs together in 2015 and how one song in particular, “Loyal,” caught Diddy’s attention as it appeared to push back against the alleged pattern of abuse and manipulation he’d established in their relationship.

Red says Diddy confronted her at a surprise birthday party he threw for Cassie in 2015, where he also allegedly threatened Ventura while she was surrounding by his security guards. Later, Red describes an intoxicated Combs yelling at her at Cassie’s home, commanding her to tell Cassie “she wants some birthday dick.” The letter also reaffirms many of the accusations from Cassie’s lawsuit — that Diddy coerced her into taking drugs (getting “so high,” Red was worried she’d overdose), threatening her, and using her terminated record deal to keep her from speaking out.

Although Cassie and Diddy have settled the original lawsuit, the effects of having additional witnesses for her accusations of abuse could harm Diddy’s standing in the public eye — which could also spell trouble for him should the new lawsuits proceed to trial.

7 Of The Cringiest Holiday Hip-Hop Songs

Christmas is nearly upon us, and the air is already charged with its magic. It’s the season of festive cheer, twinkling lights, and timeless tunes that typically propagate the holiday spirit. However, nestled among the jolly classics is a subgenre that elicits reactions ranging from amusement to secondhand embarrassment. This, folks, is the realm of cringey holiday Hip Hop songs.

Hip-hop artists traverse a fine line between catchy celebration and unbearable awkwardness when they try to weave their lyrical magic into the fabric of Christmas traditions. While some find the sweet spot and create magic, others, unfortunately, end up with offerings Santa would frown at. Thankfully, the list of great holiday Hip Hop tracks is longer than that of the cringy ones. For example, Ye’s “Christmas in Harlem,” and Jeezy’s “Hustlaz Holiday” are getting a spin this season. However, there are still quite several uncomfortable songs in existence, and the following seven take the cake.

7. “Christmas Song” – Juelz Santana Ft. Skull Gang

“Christmas Song” was released as a part of Jim Jones & Skull Gang’s compilation album A Tribute To Bad Santa Starring Mike Epps in 2008. The Christmas-themed Hip Hop album contains 19 songs. However, “Christmas Song” particularly stands out. While it features a catchy beat, the lyrics of the song are unbelievably corny. Can one really listen to “Wrap your lips and tongue around me / I’ll slide my gift under your tree” with a straight face? Getting through the song is quite a task because listeners will wince for most of it. It is admittedly quite groovy, but even that is not enough to save it from being terribly cringy.

6. “Christmas In The Ghetto” – Master P & C-Murder

The concept of this song is certainly an interesting one. However, it’s hard to say its execution was handled properly. Listeners can already tell a few seconds into the song that it may not offer much. Unfortunately, it disappoints even more than expected. From the horrendous chorus to the verses about robbery, drugs, and ghetto tales, there’s a disconnect. Despite the artists’ efforts, it is one of many meager holiday Hip Hop songs, and a chore to sit through. “Christmas In The Ghetto” appears on the 11-track mixtape, Westcoast Bad Boyz: High Fo Xmas released in 1994.

5. “How Sean Price Stole Christmas” – Sean Price

Beginning with a sample of the classic “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch,” this song tells a story that’s a little too detailed. To his credit, Sean Price completely embodies the character of Mr. Grinch, expressing his abject hatred for Christmas. However, his narration and descriptions go maybe a bit too far, making the song a not-so-pleasant listening experience. Nevertheless, some may find it intriguing, or even enjoyable, but they are likely in the minority. Despite its Hip Hop bounce and impressive delivery, this is not a holiday song you’d want to play in most gatherings.

4. “Jingle Bellz” – Juelz Santana & Starr

With “Jingle Bellz,” Juelz Santana and Starr had an opportunity to create an unforgettable holiday song. The song was meant to be a smooth blend of Hip Hop and R&B elements. However, it ended up being just another badly written cover of a classic Christmas tune. While Starr delivers impressive vocals, its impact is countered and overshadowed by lackluster lyrics. Additionally, Juelz Santana delivered a forgettable verse, and his presence is barely felt on the track. The pair squandered the chance to make a great song, and turned it into a cringy materialistic tune instead.

3. “The Christmas Song” – David Banner Ft. Marcus & Sky

David Banner’s holiday Hip Hop offering contains an interpolation of the Christmas staple “Tidings Of Comfort And Joy.” Besides its catchy beat, that’s arguably the only comforting or joyful thing about this song. “It’s winter time and we steal, cannot find a job / We fill out applications, but you treat us like we’re slobs / So we rob and we steal, we’re just trying to get a meal…” so goes the song’s chorus. Without a doubt, it’s a catchy song. However, justifying theft, even in a song, is not a good look. “The Christmas Song” would be one of the best holiday Hip Hop songs around if only it had been written differently.

2. “Deck My Balls” – Afroman

Afroman’s cover of “Deck The Halls” is an acapella track, and contains arguably the most outrageous opening line on this list. If “lick my b*lls with lots of saliva” doesn’t make you cringe, I don’t know what will. Although Afroman goes on to say some less outrageous things, it’s impossible to recover from his opening line. The song barely exceeds a minute and a half, but it certainly deserves its spot on this list. The absence of a beat makes it impossible to ignore Afroman’s words, so there is no saving grace.

1. “Christmas Grind” – Killer Mike

We’ll come out and say it. If listeners only take the beat and Killer Mike’s delivery into consideration, this song is a hit. However, things begin to get dark pretty quickly when attention is paid to the lyrics. Not only does Killer Mike say he will rob people, but he also outlines how exactly he’ll go about doing it. Certainly, that’s not the kind of Christmas grind anyone should be focused on. Besides the interpolation of the melody for “Carol Of The Bells,” nothing about this song spells Christmas or cheer. “Christmas Grind” is one of the most inappropriate holiday Hip Hop songs out there.

Sauce Walka Arrested After Police Chase, Crashed Car At 130 Miles Per Hour

A few months after his macing drama with Charleston White, Sauce Walka found himself in more trouble. Moreover, authorities arrested him after a high-speed, two-mile police chase, according to FOX 26 Houston, who reportedly obtained legal documents pertaining to this situation. Apparently, the rapper went 130 miles per hour and eventually crashed his car, thus ending the chase, the reasons for which are still unknown as of writing this article. Following this incident early Wednesday morning (December 6), he received charges of evading arrest or detention relating to a motor vehicle, watercraft, or tire deflation device. If the schedules resumes as planned, Albert Walker Mondane will appear in court on Friday (December 8).

Furthermore, we also don’t know whether he sustained any injuries or got medical assistance yet. Given the early nature of this report, we have few guesses as to whether the DAT BOY DEN MC will hold himself accountable for this or if things will turn more complicated. After all, he could fight against this arrest in court, but it seems like there is already some worrisome precedent that could make this tougher for him. Regardless, from what Sauce Walka’s Instagram Story suggests, it seems like he’s doing well.

Shortly after this arrest occurred, a video emerged on the social media platform, showing him speaking to one of his The Sauce Factory artists in a jail call. “I want to tell all my fans that I appreciate y’all for your care and concern,” Sauce Walka remarked.

Meanwhile, back in March, the 33-year-old was reportedly arrested on drug charges. It seems like he dodged these accusations, but it might make this and future court battles that much tougher. With that in mind, all we can do is wait and see whether it will come up again in this narrative. On that note, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Sauce Walka.

What Is Nicki Minaj’s Gag City?

Nicki Minaj is less than one day away from finally dropping Pink Friday 2, her first full-length album since 2018’s Queen. On Wednesday night, December 6, Minaj amped up the already-fervent anticipation by using her “Barb Alert System” to warn the Barbz that they are quickly “approaching Gag City.”

“As we begin to prepare for landing, please make sure your tray tables are put back up & your seat belts are tightly fastened,” Minaj wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) earlier in the day. “The captain has activated the ‘no bathroom’ sign. If you look out the window, you’ll begin to see the beauty…clear waters, pink dolphins…#GagCity #PF2.”

Well, that sounds lovely. Wait, PINK DOLPHINS?! What (and where) in the world is Gag City?

According to various outlets — such as Know Your Meme, Reddit, and The Mirror — Barbz created Gag City using AI based on the Pink Friday 2 cover art Minaj shared in early September. On the first of two album covers, Minaj appears angelic while standing on what could be described as a subway platform floating above pink clouds. Everything is pink, except for Minaj’s white outfit.

“Her fans, lovingly called the Barbz, decided that the city below her on the album cover was named Gag City, a play on the word ‘gagged,’ which can be used to describe something, usually a celebrity, as amazing or stunning,” The Mirror explained. “After Gag City was named, fans were left wondering what the city could possibly look like, so they turned to AI.”

This morning, December 7, Power 105. 1 posted that it “is the official radio station of #GAGCity” alongside an AI-generated, pink-tinged photo of a boombox turned to the station. Republic Records posted the Statue Of Liberty wearing a pink wig. All over the internet, people continue to post their visions for Gag City ahead of Pink Friday 2‘s arrival at midnight ET (December 8), which is also Minaj’s birthday. See some below.

Future Dismisses IG Post About His Dating History, Calls It Cap

Future has a pretty extensive dating history, something you might assume quite easily if you listen to his music. However, as infamous as it is, apparently people have the wrong impression of exactly how the timeline or the partners themselves fit into it. Moreover, a new Instagram post emerged online recently that details eight partners in his life, including Ciara, Naomi Campbell, Blac Chyna, and more. When the Atlanta trap icon saw this, he couldn’t resist the chance to prove people wrong and set the record straight. In the comments section of this post, he simply dropped a “cap” emoji, although it’s still quite unclear what exact aspect of this recap he took issue with.

Regardless, we can’t blame this page for trying their best to detail Future’s alleged relationship history. After all, there’s not too much discussion on that right now, which is either a good or bad thing depending on how much you like his music and are interested in his dating life. On the former of those options, Fewtch is building a lot of hype and anticipation for his upcoming collab album with Metro Boomin. Of course, the two worked together extensively in the past and bring out the best in each other, so it’s no surprise that fans are begging for it.

Future’s Dating History Allegedly Misrepresented By This Post: Watch

Furthermore, a lot of discussion around Future right now surrounds his dominance and artistry in the game, and the strides he’s making to stay on that wave. Still, this means that those interested in his romantic exploits have to look back on past flings and look for new context on older happenings. For example, that’s something we recently did specifically regarding the “I Serve The Base” MC’s relationship with Lori Harvey and its alleged timeline. Maybe he will drop in our comments section one of these days to clarify any confusion.

Jokes aside, the most high-profile boo that the 40-year-old ever had was Ciara, who’s currently with Russell Wilson. That is still a topic of conflict, despite their family dynamic playing out nicely when it comes to his son with the singer. We’ll see how this keeps manifesting in toxic but surely addictive music. Diddy’s Latest Sexual Assault Accuser Hires Cassie’s Lawyers

Diddy and his team recently received their fourth (allegedly fifth) sexual assault lawsuit in the past three weeks. Moreover, this whole situation became a PR nightmare for him as of late, and the sheer number of accusations paint a dark picture of his alleged behavior and attitudes. What’s more is that these cases relate to each other in unique ways, especially when it comes to how they might play out in court. Furthermore, a Jane Doe recently accused Sean Combs and two other men of sexually assaulting her when she was 17. According to reporter Meghann Cuniff, the plaintiff hired the same lawyers that worked with Cassie in the settled lawsuit that kicked this wave off.

“This is now the fifth lawsuit filed against Mr. Combs in the last three weeks,” the latest lawsuit against Diddy reads. “Incredibly, the allegations brought by Ms. Doe are in many ways even more egregious than those brought by his prior victims.” Not only that, but we’re also getting rumors and whispers of how this whole situation is impacting the industry. Apparently, this resulted in a “logistical nightmare” for the Grammys, for which he is nominated for this year.

Cassie’s Lawyers Reportedly Helping Diddy’s Latest Alleged Victim In Court

Meanwhile, amid all this speculation and legal action, the Bad Boy mogul finally broke his silence on all this. Rather than state something through his attorneys, he took to social media recently to stand up for himself. “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” Diddy posted on Instagram. “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

However, this situation will likely become even more high-profile in the next few months. That is, if 50 Cent is really producing a documentary on the whole scandal. We’ll have to wait and see if that manifests. For more news and the latest updates on Diddy, check back in with HNHH.

Lil Yachty Says He Never Glorified Negativity In His Music, Fans Come Back With Receipts

Lil Yachty has been getting in a lot of trouble lately for his comments about hip-hop. Overall, people have not been on board with the things he has been saying. He has said that hip-hop has been getting stagnant and has also said unsavory things about the content of the genre. Although some feel like he is making good points, others see him as the problem and not the solution. While he may have good intentions, they have not come across very well. As it turns out, he continues to put his foot in his mouth.

Recently, Yachty got to have a conversation with Tierra Whack where they spoke on the state of hip-hop. It was during this conversation that Yachty said that he was not interested in a lot of the topics rapped about these days. In fact, he says his own music has been devoid of anything negative. “When I was younger, and coming up, the class I had glorified drugs, face tats, everything under the book, you know,” Yachty said. “And what I learned as I got older — I never had the fan base of certain peers because I didn’t glorify negativity.”

Unfortunately for Yachty, these comments were immediately pushed back on by social media commentators.
