Steve Lacy’s enigmatic persona continues to draw fans in, with them patiently awaiting any detail that falls in their lap. However, as expected, especially when it comes to his personal life, he has kept it mum. The singer-songwriter recently opened up in a new interview with Variety about why he refrained from addressing his sexuality publically. Lacy claims that he found the process “unnecessary” and that it can cause an onslaught of unwanted attention.

Rumors began swirling about Lacy’s sexual preferences back in 2017. When he was asked by fans via Tumblr if he was interested in dating men, to which Lacy replied, “Sure, why not.” And yet, the internet subsequently ran with that narrative, labeling Steve Lacy as bisexual, despite him never specifying that. On the other hand, as the singer explains to Variety, he never actually came out. “I didn’t try to — it just kinda happened. I don’t care to announce who I’m into sexually. I think it’s silly. I never felt like I needed to come out.”

The Singer Also Opened Up About His Near-Fatal Car Crash

In 2020, while driving his luxury sports car — a Tesla Model 3 — through the streets of West L.A., the singer nearly came face to face with death. Reports show that a drunk driver had crashed into him at full speed. Luckily, Steve Lacy was able to escape unharmed. However, after a brush with death caused him to reflect on his fate. “Being that close to death, I had the realization that you could be doing everything right, and then some fucking dumbass can crash into your car head-on,” he recalled.

On the music front, Steve Lacy has made quite the name for himself since departing from The Internet. His meteoric rise has been something to witness. In 2022, his album, Gemini Rights, debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 with 34,000 equivalent units in its first week, and his single “Bad Habit” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. In a 2022 interview with The Guardian, he noted that his genre-bending sound was inspired by “various rock and pop punk artists.”

On a recent broadcast from his Double G News Network, Snoop Dogg was joined by the Memphis rapper, and let him know that he has all the makings of a movie star. Snoop pointed out that Moneybagg Yo’s ability to maintain his fanbase and achieve success proves that he still has much to offer to the world.

“I feel like you more than just a rap star, and the people showing you that by the way they show up for your concerts and show up for you,” Snoop told the rapper. “If you start telling movie stories and start getting into that vain, I think.” To which Moneybagg responded by asking the West Coast legend for advice on entering the acting world while balancing his music.

Snoop clarified to Moneybagg that the goal was not to create division between the two worlds. Instead, to discover means of uniting them. In a recent interview with Angie Martinez, the rapper discussed the death of his child’s mother, Chyna Santana. As he explains, it nearly broke him. “She was murdered. She was killed by somebody that she was with,” he began. “It was shocking.”

Normani Inks Deal With New Management Team

Normani has parted ways with her with longtime management company S10 Entertainment, according to new reports. Per Rolling Stone, the “Wild Side” singer has signed with the same management team as other heavy hitters like Charli XCX, Troye Sivan, and Coco Jones. Normani reportedly separated from S10 Entertainment’s Brandon Silverstein back in May. The decision comes after rumors that the singer is working on new music.

The team consists of Brandon Creed and Lydia Asrat, both well-known figures in the industry. Asat worked with Doja Cat from 2017 until March 2022 and landed herself a spot on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list last year. In a statement to Rolling Stone, the singer expressed her good wishes to her former manager. “With new music on the horizon, and Asrat and Creed now at the helm of her musical career, she and the rest of her team are extremely excited to embark on this new chapter and partnership,” a rep for the singer said.

Normani’s Next Chapter

In 2018, Normani embarked on her solo career after it was revealed that Fifth Harmony’s hiatus would be indefinite. Despite not yet releasing her own debut album, she kept her fans fed by releasing singles sporadically over the last several years. Recently, in a new advertisement with Bose, Normani gave fans a taste of what they could expect regarding her next project. The class was regarded as “Generation Next” and there are some in that group who have lived up to the hype. Playboi Carti, XXXTentacion, including A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, are all in that conversation. The 27-year-old has made a name for himself with hits such as, “TIMELESS,” “Startender,” and “Drowning.” Furthermore, he dropped Me vs. Myself in December 2022 with a feature list of Lil Durk, Kodak Black, Roddy Ricch, and Tory Lanez.

Recently, A Boogie spoke with Rolling Stone in a quick interview. In it, he spoke on who is in his Mt. Rushmore of New York hip-hop artists. He went with Jay-Z, himself, Cardi B, and 50 Cent. There has been speculation that his forthcoming project and debut album, The First Time, was supposed to drop this spring. Unfortunately, there is still no confirmed date of when his fans have something new to delve into. Speaking of new, LAROI, has revealed that he wants to take his sound and style in a new direction. From day one, it has been known that Juice WRLD, and his emo rap approach, has been a huge influence.

However, The Kid LAROI is ready to take that next step as an artist. He says in his Instagram post, “It’s kind of crazy to me that the only thing you guys have is F*ck Love because, as much as I’m very grateful for that project and grateful that you guys like it, I think that I’m sort of past that — just musically and topic-wise.” He continues by listing off the genres featured on this next effort, “rap sh*t, alternative sh*t, kind of pop sh*t on there, too, R&B.”

Most artists might almost feel obligated to say that when their new project is about to come out, “It’s the best material I’ve ever made.” LAROI feels that way as well, but he truly feels he has something special on the way saying, “I genuinely do think this is the best music that I’ve made. However, another fiery O’Connor retort to power has come to light, and it has people falling even more in love with the late musician.

After the death of her son, Piers Morgan reportedly tried to get O’Connor on his show several times. She wasn’t having it and shot him down with a hilarious email that blasted him for his well-known obsession with Meghan Markle.

“Hi Piers, I think it’s best I don’t do your show because of the irresistible temptation I would have to point out that you’re dying to be balls deep in Meghan Markle so bad it’s driven you crazy, and that your dislike of Prince Harry is down to his being balls deep in her ten times a day.

The rejection has gone viral since O’Connor’s death, and people can’t believe the email actually exists. O’Connor’ was a real one, and she just picked up a whole new legion of fans thanks to her absolute roasting of Morgan.

Mack 10 Denies Claims That “Bow Down” Was Inspired By “Hit ’em Up”

Former Westside Connection rapper, Mack 10 is known for his more popular songs such as “Foe Life” as well as a feature track with his former group member Ice Cube called ” You Can Do It. critically, the late rapper Tupac Shakur believed Mack 10′ pulled inspiration from his song “Hit Em Up”. In a now resurfacing interview, Mack 10 confidently shut down those claims of the over-the-20-year-old rumor.

Just under a month ago, Mack 10 appeared on No Jumper, a popular hip-hop-themed podcast on Youtube. Midway through the podcast, host Adam22 asked him about Tupac saying the Westside Connection song “Bow Down” was inspired by his infamous diss record “Hit Em Up”.“That’s totally false. We was too into what we was doing to even care about what “Hit ‘Em Up” or any other record sounded like. Nah, that’s false,” he said. additionally, Adam22 pointed out the similar braggadocious tone of each record. He continued to confidently deny those claims made by the late rapper, Tupac.

Mack 10 Speaks on “No Jumper”

Furthermore, he also addressed the status of his falling out with former group member, Ice Cube He revealed they have not spoken in over two decades.“I ain’t seen him or talked to him in damn near 20 years, so there it is.” The group Westside Connection consists of Ice Cube, Mack 10, and WC. The trio has produced numerous projects. In the past, he has also spoken about being open to reuniting with his Westside Connection groupmates. In a 2020 appearance on Murder Master Music Show, he confirmed his interest. “I’m down, I’m sure Dub is down. That’s the question of the year bro! Somebody probably gotta ask Cube what it is gonna take because I really don’t know,” he said. In 2003, the group released its last album Terrorist Threats. After the release, Mack and Ice Cube had their falling out.

In a sneak preview posted on youtube, the rap duo sat down with popular Tv-Talk Show Host, Tamron Hall, to discuss the truths and misconceptions women face in the music industry. The topic of motherhood lead Cheryl James to reveal the pressure she faced to get an abortion by someone she decided not to name. “I won’t say by who — but to your point, yeah, you just have to know that it’s something that you’re capable of handling if you want a kid and you want to have a career. And it’s definitely harder,” she said. Cheryl also took the moment to express how her having her child ultimately changed her life. “Like, I needed that lil’ baby in my life, you know?” she said. Additionally, she explained how her child was the “best thing” she has done.
