Jace! Delivers His Fifteenth Project Of 2024 With “Curation 4”

Jace! cites his main inspirations as Chief Keef and Summrs, among FBG Duck, and more. We can definitely see why he looks up to them because all of their discographies are quite massive just like his. However, when we listen to Curation 4, the latest offering from Jace!, we hear quite a bit of Lil Uzi Vert as well. His vocal inflections and some of the dreamy and wavy productions sound like some of the Philadelphia MC’s earlier material. You will see a lot of “Jace” coverage on our site already. However, this our first time covering “Jace!” from Fort Worth, Texas. The 21-year-old rapper, who used to go by TGE Duwap, has been making waves in the underground for a few years.

He does have a few big hits though, including “20 Min,” “Gostyle 2023 Freestyle,” “556 (Green Tip),” among others. These three alone have nearly 100 million streams combined. Jace! isn’t just a spitter though. He also produces, is an audio engineer, a guitarist, as well as a streamer. As we said, his influences are some of the more prolific names in the game, and he has some work with a handful of them. Summrs is perhaps his most notable collaborator, as according to his Genius page, they used to be close friends. Curation 4 is out everywhere now, and it’s his 15th project released overall this year! Check it out below and see what you think.

Yhapojj Drops Off Precursing EP “Before T.L.Y.”

Yhapojj is maintaining quite a strong work ethic this year since coming onto the rap scene back in 2020 with freestyles. The Huntsville, Alabama native, known for his unconventional auto-tuned delivery and off-beat rapping, has been busy pumping out projects left and right. As of this weekend, Yhapojj has increased that total to four with the release of Before T.L.Y. It’s more of an EP/mixtape, and according to Pitchfork, it’s a big wink to the camera. Very soon, Yhapo will be dropping an album called Thanks Li Yhap. When it will arrive remains a mystery, but for now, fans are enjoying what he’s laying down on Before T.L.Y.

Most of his charm comes from those attributes we mentioned a second ago. However, in the case of this mixtape, Yhapojj sounds mostly incoherent. His biggest draw is more of a detriment, and it makes most of the listening experience frustrating and disheartening. What keeps things interesting is the production, which flirts with trap, underground, and maybe even a little hyperpop. But the vocals are what really hurt the project, especially some of the adlibs. Yhapo’s “yuh” is over most of the record and sometimes he draws it out way too long to the point where his verses sound even more jumbled. Hopefully, Thanks Li Yhap will be an improvement. Still, though, give Before T.L.Y., featuring Benji Blue Bills, Nino Paid, and more, a try with the streaming links below.

Jeleel! Dabbles In Multiple Genres On “Xistence.”

On the outside, JELEEL! come across as wild, energetic, and loud. Additionally, his stunts and burnouts have made in him into a viral sensation. However, the Rhode Island native wants to show that he’s more than just the antics and the rage music. Enter Xistence., the latest album from JELEEL! He explains that this LP is to give his fans a more layered look into who he is as an artist and where his musical inspirations come from. In a recent Instagram post announcing the record, he says, “Dropped this independently to bring you the full spectrum of who I am as an artist. I feel like many people assume they know me based on the viral moments, but there’s so much more than that,” he begins.

“Being Nigerian, I’ve always loved experimenting with Afro sounds, blending them with dancehall, R&B, and even rage music to create something unique. This project is my way of inviting you into my world, my Xistence.” Additionally, on his website it reads, “This project lets you see the rage, the vulnerable, the mellow, and the spiritual sides of JELEEL! That’s exactly what listeners are going to get, and sometimes, it leads to some rhythmic and catchy bops. More times than not, JELEEL! is using his auto-tuned vocals to convey these themes and ideas. There are occasions where it works in his favor, and other times it cheapens the moment he’s trying to create. Xistence. is not be for the JELEEL! casuals, but the fans who have been following him since the start. If you are one of those, you should have fun exploring his artistic leaps.

Estee Nack & Producer Giallo Point Link For Bandcamp Exclusive Tape “Papitas 2”

Estee Nack is back at it again, and it’s looking like PAPITAS 2 is going to go down as another underground classic. This is the Lynn, Massachusetts rapper’s third project of 2024, and first to be only out on the Bandcamp platform. There are some YouTube channels that were able to locate the audio files for the project, which you can find below. Nack, known for his numerous affiliations (Tragic Allies, Griselda, etc.), is linking with an old friend and co-creator for this duology. Fellow undergrounder and UK producer Giallo Point is back on the boards, and his beats are sounding just as fire as the first Papitas.

It’s been four years in between these two LPs; however, the inaugural tape saw a 2023 reissue onto DSPs. Nack has built a reputation for being one of the grimiest and tactical rhymers in the game, and those characteristics are all over Papitas 2. Ahead of the project’s release, Estee Nack and Giallo Point were kind enough to give fans at least a sneak peek on streaming. Back on November 7, they dropped off the one and only single, “ICEBULLETTHEORY.” It will be interesting to see whether or not Nack and Point decide to bring this to streaming platforms. Given what happened with the first LP, it could be some time. But supporting the art is always better, so if you want to, you can purchase PAPITAS 2 with the Bandcamp link below.

Duke Deuce Introduces Made Men Mafia To The Hip-Hop World With Debut LP “Tribe”

Crunk ain’t dead! Crunk ain’t dead! Duke Deuce is back with a new album, Tribe, but it’s not a solo project. This is the inaugural release for his new group, Made Men Mafia. This trio of Tennessee natives was founded by the crunk champion earlier this year, dropping their first single, “Get Nasty,” last month. Deuce has recruited Turnt LilThadd and Dubba G for this joint venture, and it looks to be another effort in keeping this Memphis subgenre alive. These three have been close behind the scenes for years, so we are sure they are excited to bring the vision to life this weekend.

According to a press release, there are some specifics that Duke Deuce and Made Men Mafia wanted to execute on Tribe. “The album, predominantly produced by Duke Deuce, fuses his iconic Memphis crunk with Dubba G’s trap elements and Turnt LilThadd’s high energy.” We definitely think that their goals were realized, as there really aren’t many misses. Even the slower tracks like “How We Live,” still present an engaging listen. But we also have to be transparent and say that the turnt tracks are what people are going to gravitate toward. Deuce doesn’t get enough for his producing chops, but there are some wavy and incredibly funky beats across the 12-song tracklist. Some examples include “Clickin,” which features some haunting keys and synth passages. “Stanga” is another one with its rumbling adlibs and piercing keys. In short, Tribe is a blast, and Deuce may have one of the most enticing new groups in rap right now.

Blxst Extends His Explorative “I’ll Always Come Find You” LP With Five Deluxe Tracks

Blxst continues to trend toward being a pillar of modern R&B thanks to his willingness to go out and try things. That’s especially true sonically, and he’s done for the majority of his career. Being a Swiss army knife has led him to some fun collaborations with artists of all kinds. Blxst was then able to collect a diverse feature list of his own for his recent tape, I’ll Always Come Find You.

The four-part album did explore different topics, as well as instrumentals. 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla $ign, Amanda Reifer, and a now late Fatman Scoop were just a mere handful of guests to up the diversity. But clearly, Blxst was not content with just dropping the album how it came. His laundry list of producers was certainly put to good use because Blxst has just dropped off the deluxe of I’ll Always Come Find You this weekend. There are five new tracks, a fifth act, and appearances from DeJ Loaf, K CAMP, and more.

Babyfxce E Only Brings “Real Striker Music” To The Table On His Latest Mixtape

Some of you may remember the name Babyfxce E from a previous track by Bfb Da Packman that we covered back in January. He’s a fellow Flint, Michigan neighbor to Bfb and collaborator of BabyTron’s and J.P.’s. But after hearing what he’s been putting out behind the scenes, we felt it was time to give him the solo shine he deserves. That’s what we are doing now, as Babyfxce E has another project out this year, Real Striker Music. It’s arrived just several months following the release of The X Tape (Deluxe), which had a nice feature list. Luh Tyler, BabyTron, Skilla Baby, and SleazyWorld Go were just a few that popped out.

For those who have not hit up any of E’s music, he’s got the monotone mumble that some of his Detroit counterparts have adopted. Veeze and Babyface Ray would be some good comparisons. Real Striker Music isn’t really here to drop anything to nice. It’s very aggressive and blunt in its delivery, but it still keeps some of that Michigan charm in its productions. This tape comes at an exciting time for Babyfxce E, as he is prepping to hit the road with Babyface Ray when he goes on his Wavy Navy University Tour. That kicks off on Christmas Eve and will run through February 7.

Wizkid Captures His Late Mother’s Spirit On His Sixth Album “Morayo”

Wizkid is definitely making his mother smile down on him from above with his new album, Morayo. The Lagos, Nigeria Afrobeats technician had openly dedicated this sixth studio effort to Jane Morayo Balogun. His special matriarch tragically passed away in August 2023, so it’s clear that Wizkid wanted to get his feelings and emotions out to his fans and the world ASAP. However, the fairly quick turnaround doesn’t detract from the album’s quality and dense curation one bit. In fact, it’s one of his more diverse tracklists to date.

He’s pushing all of the right sonic buttons, bringing so many different flavors of African music to the 16 tracks. Because of this, it’s an emotional rollercoaster, but in a good way. There are blissful energetic moments, in addition to sobering cuts about love and his mother. The closer “Pray” hears him thank Morayo for her unwavering belief in her son to become an unmistakable and unmovable force in his lane. “Mama call me Ayo Balogun, they can never find another you.” Those words couldn’t be any truer, because the project is already doing some incredible numbers. According to Legit, since its release, it’s broken the record for most first-day streams on Spotify Nigeria with over 12.2 million. That was held by fellow Nigerian Asake, who raked in over 5.88 million in one day with Lungu Boy back in August.

Sheff G Returns After A Turbulent Stretch With “Proud Of Myself” Album

“10 MILL BOND, 1.5 MILL CASH BAIL WAS THE TICKET‼ BAIL PAID SAME DAY ARE YOU DUMB, SHEFF G BACK‼ NEW YORK. WE F***ING LITTTTT THEY COUNTED ME OUT!! THEY THOUGHT I WAS DONE , PEACE AND LOVE TO YALL LOL.” That is the energy that Sheff G is on across his new album, Proud Of Myself. If you remember, the New York drill rapper and songwriter was dealing with a gun possession case and multiple gang allegations. But that wasn’t going to keep him down for long. It’s a big day for Sheff G, as Proud Of Myself is a bit of a victory lap.

Themes of self-growth, success, and resiliency are peppered throughout the 15-song offering, his first since 2022’s From The Can. This project arrives at another opportune time for Sheff G, because pretty soon, a close friend of his is going to drop a LP in about two weeks. Sleepy Hallow is going to drop his project on December 6, perhaps as a continuation of this celebration of freedom. These two albums have a close relation to one another also because of the rollout. Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow were putting out singles together on two-packs. Overall, their brotherhood is real and it’s proving to be even more so over these next couple of weeks.

Finesse2tymes Recruits A Star-Studded Cast For Massive Double Album “Art Of War”

Finesse2tymes is back and with his longest album to date, Art of War. Out via Mob Ties, Bread Gang, and Atlantic Records, the Memphis rapper has dropped 22 songs, to be exact. He put out quite a considerable number of singles ahead of it, almost dropping the entire thing. 13 is the final number, so it will be up to you if nine new tracks are enough to chew over.

Art of War is Finesse2tymes’ first project since the deluxe to 90 Days tape, 90 Days Later back in 2023. The “Back End” MC is versatile from both a thematic and style perspective. There are pure bangers such as “Miami with the Heat” featuring Florida natives Kodak Black and Luh Tyler. But also, deeper tracks with more personal reflection like “Knowledge Is Power” with Lil Tjay make their way into the fold. With a tracklist this expansive, it helps that there’s quite a bit of variation. If you are looking to hear what Finesse2tymes has to say about betrayal and his accomplishments, check out Art of War with the DSP links below.
