French Montana Leaves Off Loaded “Mac & Cheese 5”

For all of the work that French Montana has put in throughout his nearly 20-year career, he does not get the love that most of that stature would. People critique him heavily for a lot of reasons. However, at the end of the day, you have to respect the hustle. Today the Moroccan rapper is back with his new mixtape, Mac & Cheese 5.

Fans will still find things to pick out that they do not like about French, such as his lyricism or flow game. But one thing can do very well is being able to reel in the big fish. Mac & Cheese 5 has the names in spades across this 21-song tracklist. Here you will find multiple Kanye West features, JID, Westside Gunn, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, and so many more.

Listen To Mac & Cheese 5 By French Montana

Out of the plethora of singles Montana dropped in 2023, only two of them made their way to Mac & Cheese 5. Funny enough, one of them, “Millionaire Row,” is actually from Meek Mill and Rick Ross’s collaborative tape, Too Good To Be True. “Okay” with Lil Baby and producer ATL Jacob is the second. This is also another big release for French because every song has an acapella, instrumental, sped up, and slowed down version. That means there are 126 total tracks!

What are your thoughts on Mac & Cheese 5 by French Montana? Is this the best entry in the series so far? Who had the strongest feature on the record? What songs are you gravitating toward the most? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Kid Cudi Goes Back To More Familiar Sounds On “INSANO (NITRO MEGA)”

“Oh how u all will feast again very soon.” That was Kid Cudi on X (Twitter) back in late January after not being able to get his “deluxe” of INSANO out on time. Well, that time has come as the Cleveland native is here on February 23 to deliver INSANO (NITRO MEGA). As he initially promised, fans now have nearly 40 new tracks to indulge in throughout the rest of the year and hopefully beyond.

After NITRO MEGA‘s predecessor got slightly unfavorable reviews from critics and fans, maybe this will make fans a little happier. On this sequel of sorts, Cudi is going back to his experimentative roots. While it is still filled with bangers, it is not nearly as heavy on the trap/psychedelic sounds. Just listen to “ELECTROWAVE BABY 2.0” and you will see what we mean.

Listen To INSANO (NITRO MEGA) By Kid Cudi

There are still some tracks that will most likely still up controversy such as “WILLIS” for example. But again, there are still some nice highlights on INSANO (NITRO MEGA). One of them has to be “HUMAN MADE.” It appears that Tame Impala’s “One More Hour” is the song to sample in 2024 so far if you want pure fireworks. Be sure to check out the record with the links to find out for yourself which album is superior.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new album, INSANO (NITRO MEGA), by Kid Cudi? Is this the better project over its predecessor? Who had the best feature on the record and why? Nafe Smallz Elevates His Sound On “Ticket To The Moon”

For the past five years, Nafe Smallz has carved out his niche lane in the vast soundscape of the UK rap scene. He initially landed on our radar when he appeared on Skepta’s Ignorance Is Bliss single, “Greaze Mode.” His infectious syrupy melodies helped develop some serious earworm for hooks that ultimately gained him early favor in the UK and abroad. 2019’s Good Love boasted appearances from Toronto’s Tory Lanez and Lil Berete while he traded bars with stars like M Huncho, whom he later collaborated with on their joint mixtape, DNA, and UK vets like Chip.

The rapper continued to keep his momentum high year after year. Following the release of 2023’s High Profile, he doubled back with the release of Ticket To The Moon last week. The 15-song body of work finds Nafe Smallz refining his sound without being confined to it. He continues to explore his melodic prowess over spacey instrumentals that, at times, sound almost like they were crafted for Gunna. However, Smallz’s distinct delivery transforms these records into something else entirely. His strengths lie in his versatility, and he effectively draws from a variety of influences, whether Afrobeats and dancehall or trap, without skipping a beat.

Ticket To The Moon Features: Aitch, AJ Tracey & More

The new album also delivers a few rivetting collaborations, largely from UK mainstays. Aitch comes through with the assist on the ever-vibrant, “LANDSLIDE”; “BE A HOE (LUTIN TING)” merges Lancey Foux’s intergalactic flows with a hynotizing Memphis-influenced production. Then, AJ Tracey comes through on the rage-forward, “GEEKIN” and D-Block Europe’s Dirtbike LB trades bars with Nafe Smallz on “CALI X.” Other features include Toronto’s Northside Benji and Dange.

While it might be too early to consider this on any mid-year or year-end lists, Nafe Smallz’s consistency remains his strongest suit. Ticket To The Moon marks his seventh body of work in his arsenal and it remains a strong entry into his catalog that proves that there aren’t any limitations to his honeyed flows. Check out his new project above and sound off with your thoughts in the comment sections below.

Yeat Unveils Highly Anticipated Album “2093”

West Coast rapper Yeat delivered on the anticipation he had been building for nearly a year with the release of his highly-anticipated studio album, 2093. The album marks a departure from Yeat’s previous works, as he opted for a full-length project instead of an AftërLyfe deluxe, signaling a significant musical venture. Yeat had been dropping hints and teasing 2093 for the past year, treating fans to snippets on Instagram and offering glimpses into his creative process through behind-the-scenes studio photos. The rapper/producer had first spoken about the project in a November 2023 interview with 032c magazine, where he hinted at the album’s distinctive nature within his discography.

In the interview, Yeat expressed that 2093 would stand apart from his previous records, describing it as a sonic leap comparable to “a 10-album difference in time.” He tantalizingly teased the album’s theme, suggesting a dive into a dystopian society, offering fans a glimpse into the unique musical landscape he aimed to create. The excitement surrounding 2093 reached a fever pitch last month when Yeat dropped subtle hints about the album’s imminent release and potential features. One notable clue came in the form of a screenshot depicting a FaceTime call between Yeat and none other than Drake, fueling speculation about a possible collaboration.

Money Man Drops A Series Of Bass-Heavy Trap Heaters On “Purple Heart”

Money Man loves to provide his fans with new music whenever he can. Which is why the veteran Georgia trap rapper has put out over 20 projects in his career. For that reason, it is no surprise that Money Man is back already to deliver Purple Heart. We got the chance to speak with the 37-year-old back on the release date of his 2023 project CROPTOBER. Money Man revealed the reason why he likes to release new material at a faster rate than most rappers. “The music game is so slow. Behind the scenes is so slow with them, handling producers and getting the paperwork together and clearances…”

He continues, “I don’t have time for that. That’s why my fan base loves me because I’m always keeping them with new music.” Well, he is back to do just that in the early stages of 2024. Purple Heart was actually teased in the latter half of 2023.

BabyDrill Creates A Grim Environment On His Third LP “ScoreGod”

If you were to combine the talents of Young Nudy and 21 Savage you would create BabyDrill. The Atlanta rapper blends the dark and murderous production of 21 and the vocal work of Nudy. It makes sense where he might have gotten these influences from. The up-and-comer is a signee of Nudy’s label PDE (Paradise East Records). BabyDrill got his start in 2022 and is already working with some major players in the modern hip-hop landscape. A few to name are Latto, G Herbo, and of course, the previous ones we mentioned.

Additionally, BabyDrill was also a feature on The Kid LAROI’s comeback, debut album THE FIRST TIME. You can find him on the trap banger with Future called “WHAT’S THE MOVE?” In terms of his solo career, he has two projects to his name. His most recent, MadMan, dropped in June.

Now, he is back less than a year later to deliver his third tape called ScoreGod. Quite surprisingly, there were no singles released ahead of the 14-track project. You can stream the tape on all of your favorite platforms, or with the links above.

Blu & Roy Royal Bleed L.A. On “Royal Blu”

Underground hip-hop has produced some of the greatest lyrical talents in the 50-year history of the genre. Blu, the sure-fire MC from California has been dropping some of the best material from the West Coast since the early 2000 decade. In fact, his 2007 record, Below The Heavens, is widely seen as one of the best rap records from that time period. Blu’s prowess lies in his lyricism and good ear for production, both of which are blatantly obvious on his newest record.

The 40-year-old prolific spitter is following up a duo of projects in 2023. Bad News was the first of the two releases and that went down in August. That was a venture with Real Bad Man, a production and streetwear company that is on the rise. Then, in early December in 2023 Blu linked with Nottz for another concise listen called Afrika.

MadeinTYO Slows Things Down On “TYO 808”

It feels like MadeinTYO was someone who was known for his idiosyncratic bangers. The multi-cultural rapper and singer really burst onto the scene with his viral hit “Uber Everywhere.” It got so popular, that he recruited Travis Scott for an equally fire remix. But, it seems that MadeinTYO is looking to move over into another lane on the bustling musical freeway.

His 2023 record NEO TYO still had some more trappy-sounding instrumentals. But, the songs came across as more low-key than normal. Maybe he was trying to tell the fans something because TYO 808 is a full dive into more R&B/soul cuts. The Hawaii-born artist is bringing 18-tracks with features from singers such as BJ The Chicago Kid, Peyton, his older brother, 24HRs, among others.

Even the album as a whole sounds quite different from his older material, MadeinTYO maintains his personality. The production choices accencuate the listening experience in a very good way. It is mellow, serene, and frankly beautiful at times. Casual fans of MadeinTYO may not like this change, but this is a great change of pace for him. If you need something to vibe and chill out to, this is the record for you.

Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign Drop “Vultures 1” Amid Tons Of Controversy

Vultures 1 is finally in fans’ grasp. After months and months of pushback and tweaks, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have just dropped their eagerly-awaited collaborative album. Once thought to be a singular project, is now three volumes. This was announced back in late January with releases dates of February 9, March 8, and April 5. Many were expecting the first entry to drop on Friday. However, this is Kanye West we are talking about.

Naturally, fans were upset but not surprised by this. But, the reason for this was due to those reworks we mentioned. After the Chicago listening party, Ye and Ty made some last minute adjustments before the New York showcase hence the Saturday release date. This has all caused an uproar, particularly with Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne. Sampling clearing has been another big issue with Vultures as a whole, not just this first installment. However, Kanye removed the once-believed “War Pigs” sample from “Carnival” featuring Playboi Carti and Rich The Kid.

The actual sample was from “Iron Man,” according to Rolling Stone. If all of this turmoil was not enough, Spotify listeners are really having a rough go of it right now. Vultures 1 is out on Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon Music, Deezer, but not arguably the biggest of them all. As you can see above, it is becoming a trend on X (formerly Twitter) as people are hilariously poking fun at the users of the streaming giant. There is no true reason as to why it is not there yet, but hopefully it will be up later today. There is still so much to come from HNHH about Vultures 1, so be sure to stick around.
