Ludacris Reveals He Still Has His Car From The ’90s

During a recent interview as part of Men’s Health‘s series “The Rewind,” Ludacris revealed something he’s held on to since early on in his career. Apparently, the artist still owns the 1993 Acura Legend he purchased before he made it big. According to him, the vehicle serves as a reminder of what he’s gone through to get to where he is. He also says the car keeps his head in the right place, allowing him to remain down-to-earth.

Though he may have acquired a few more whips since back in the day, he still says that his old Acura is his top pick. When the interviewer showed him a photo of himself sitting on the hood of the car, he shared the story. “I still got my 1993 Acura Legend to this day. It has over 253,000 miles on it,” Ludacris explained. “It’s still my favorite car. You know why? Because it keeps me grounded. It’s my anchor.”

He went on, noting how it helps remind him of where he came from. “I had this car before I got a major record deal and started making millions of dollars. And I still have that car now because it reminds me of the hustle and the struggle of everything that I went through and it brings me back to where I first started.”

It’s no doubt that Ludacris has managed to make some pretty major contributions since his debut. The artist was just honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this summer. Various celebrity guests showed up to support him, like LL Cool J, Queen Latifah, Vin Diesel, Tyrese, and more. The performer’s oldest daughter, Karma, even surprised him by giving a moving speech at the ceremony. “I was fighting tears. Seriously, I was glad that I had my sunglasses on today,” he said after the touching moment. “That blew me away. Usually, it’s not easy for people to keep certain things from me, but that was 100 percent a surprise.”

50 Cent Tells “Men’s Health” Why He Doesn’t Wear Bulletproof Vests Anymore

Though 50 Cent never really left the public eye, he has roared back into the limelight for many this year. He’s currently on an absolutely massive 93-stop tour in celebration of his 2003 classic Get Rich Or Dye Tryin’ turning 20. He also just recently popped up on Nas’ new album Magic 2. The pair teamed up on a song called “Office Hours” which made for their first team-up in over 20 years. in a recent viral clip from his interview with Men’s Health, 50 explains how he learned to value himself and stop chasing all the women he met after becoming a celebrity.

Now more info from the interview is emerging, including why 50 Cent stopped wearing his iconic bulletproof vest. “When did I stop wearing the bulletproof vest? I don’t have a specific timeline for that,” his answer begins. “You know what happened? I got other things. I had gotten vehicles, like, full-blown level 6. The same stuff Obama is riding around in. “So it didn’t make sense to have to wear it every day because it was like in between that one space that I was going into the building and coming out of the building. So, I started to wear it less but this is almost like my hallmark. In the beginning of my career, I was seen more often with it than without it.”

50 Cent On Moving On From The Bulletproof Vest

Recently after a stop on his ongoing tour, 50 Cent caught up with Griselda rapper Benny The Butcher backstage. The crossover had fans dying for a new collaboration between the pair. That isn’t the only crossover people are hoping for following his team-up with Nas.

Last week Waka Flocka spoke on how he wanted 50 to team up with Busta Rymes for an entire collaborative album. While it didn’t serve as any kind of actual announcement of anything, fans had no trouble agreeing with the vision. What do you think of 50 Cent’s explanation for why he stopped wearing his trademark bulletproof vest? Let us know in the comment section below.

50 Cent Is Thirsty For Helen Mirren: “I Don’t Give A F**k… She’s Sexy”

We all have our celebrity crushes; some are common, others are very niche, and some we might have a hard time explaining. However, considering beauty standards and gut reactions online, 50 Cent has no such shame when discussing the stars he finds beautiful. Moreover, the New York rap legend recently sat down with Men’s Health for a broad and very entertaining interview. Sure, they spoke on hip-hop’s 50th anniversary; his career in music, business, and more; and his fitness journey. But the most juicy part of the whole thing was when he spoke of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in France, where he recalled how he met legendary actress Dame Helen Mirren.

“She’s sexy,” 50 Cent said, expressing his love and admiration for her. “She’ll look at you and you go, ‘Oh s**t.’ I don’t care how old she get. I don’t give a f**k what nobody says. She’s sexy. Her husband is just right there with her, and he just go, like, ‘Ah yeah, that’s just what she does.’ But he notices what you notice. That she’s sexy. It’s her confidence; it’s everything she is for all of these years. She’s gonna be sexy forever.”

50 Cent’s Interview With Men’s Health

Elsewhere in the conversation, the G-Unit titan also reflected on his “ladies’ man” status during the days of Get Rich Or Die Tryin’. It’s that kind of attitude and charm that leads him to thirst for Hollywood elites. “2003 was so much fun. There was so much energy around me as a new artist that you can’t recreate,” 50 Cent said. “Between 2003 and 2005, I’ve seen every version of every kind of vagina out there. I kept being a guy who would have what he could have and not what he wants, and then when it shifts so fast that you go, ‘What? What happened?’ You’re not prepared for it. And they’re so excited.

“You’re going, ‘Me?’ Then you just have the greatest time of your life. Now look, in 2005, you start feeling like you hot. So all of a sudden, you have transformed. You’re a bad b***h. So now that you’re this bad b***h, you’re looking at the girls looking at you, and you’re going, ‘Oh, she think she gonna get me?’ And now you think you’re so hot that you’re running from the girls. The afterparty is not happening in your hotel room anymore because you have this newfound value for yourself. You’re running to be in the room by yourself.” Still, he also admitted to making “21 Questions” for the sake of his romantic life. Common Claims That Nas Wrote One Of The Greatest Songs Of All Time

It’s pretty common for Nas to get massive praise from both rap fans and other rappers. Common became the most recent to do so in an interview with Men’s Health. In the interview, he talks quite a bit about his history with hip-hop. “I remember being at a performance and then walking outside of the show, and this dude came up to me, and he said, ‘Common, I really love your music.” He explained the meaning behind the song next, “I want to tell you that your song “Retrospect for Life” made me decide to have my kid,’” he began the interview. “I wrote that song because I had been through that experience. And there was a moment when I was on the way to the abortion clinic, and the mother of my child decided, ‘We can’t do this again,’.”

That’s what he circled back to Nas, whose influence he credited. “That’s why we related to when Nas talked about what he talked about on Illmatic. He experienced it, and the way he told it was just beautiful. In ‘One Love,’ he talks to his boy in prison. That’s one of the greatest songs ever written.” The song he’s referencing appears on Nas’ classic album Illmatic. Praise for the entire record is also easy to find. In a recent New York Times story they got 50 rappers to tell the story of hip-hop. Eminem specifically spoke about the influence of the album on his career and told the story of how he first found it.

Common Has Nothing But Praise For Nas

Nas just released his newest album Magic 2 last month. It’s a follow-up to his 2021 album Magic. The project also features references to another ongoing series of projects he’s working on with Hit-Boy called Kings Disease. Magic 2 sees Nas teaming up with 21 Savage and making a song with 50 Cent for the first time in decades. The album followed up last year’s Kings Disease III.

Busta Rhymes Recalls Tupac Shakur Choking An Audio Engineer

Busta Rhymes has been circulating in the music news for the past few days and for good reason. He recently graced the issue of Men’s Health as part of the celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. In this feature, Busta and other fellow rappers, 50 Cent, Common, and others were asked to talk about their personal mental health battles throughout their careers. Other questions naturally came up during their interviews and Busta shared a one-of-a-kind story from his past during the late 90s.

He retold a story about the effervescent icon and close friend, Tupac Shakur. “I had an incredible relationship with Pac,” says Busta. “Me and Pac been friends from early Leaders days. Before he put out his s**t, when he was still dancing with Digital Underground.” That is where this tale comes into play, back during a college show.

How Did This Happen?

Busta Rhymes harkens back to the unforgettable memory saying, “We doing a college show somewhere on the West Coast, and Digital Underground, [Tupac] was still with them.” He goes on, “We get to the soundcheck late, so the sound man was kind of turning off the equipment and was like, “’Y’all kind of missed your window for the soundcheck.’” Tupac had overheard the conversation so, Busta continues, “Tupac starts choking this motherf***er.”

So, the Leaders of the New School had to interject because they were afraid Tupac would get them kicked off the show. Funny enough, Tupac proclaimed the group to be “legends” even with just one album out at the time. How much Tupac history do you know? What is your reaction to this story? Busta Rhymes Reveals NSFW Reason For Losing Weight

Busta Rhymes was one of six rap icons featured in Men’s Health latest issue. The other respective figures included were 50 Cent, Common, Wiz Khalifa, Method Man, and Ludacris. Each had a forthright approach to their interviews, laying out their personal journeys to better themselves. Of all the methods and experiences detailed in these feature pieces, Busta Rhymes might take the cake for the most out-there story that began his path to a healthier self.

What is that exactly? Well, Busta Rhymes harkens back to a “mindf**k-” moment with his ex-wife. He vividly remembers this period in his life when he was not at his best physically. One night, they were sharing an intimate time together. All of a sudden, he had difficulties inhaling. Not wanting to see his significant other have to stress and panic about the situation, he exited the bedroom to recollect himself. A traumatic-like episode encouraged him to lose 100 pounds.

Busta Rhymes had even more to share in his interview with Men’s Health. I need you to get back to who I fell in love with.’” He also talked about how his son used to slap his stomach while greeting him, poking fun at his weight. Furthermore, he had surgery done on his vocal cords due to polyps blocking 90 percent of his throat.

But now Busta is back to feeling great and performing in front of thousands of fans on The Final Lap Tour with 50 Cent and Jeremih.
