The SpringHill Company, the production house founded and owned by LeBron James and Maverick Carter, is partnering with the History Channel to present three new documentary projects.

As reported by Shadow and Act, the first is Triumph: A Jesse Owens and the Berlin Olympics (working title). An award-winning actor, Don Cheadle will narrate the doc, which Andre Gaines will direct. Triumph is set as a two-hour documentary that will “showcase Jesse Owens’ historic triumph over Nazi Germany during the 1936 Berlin Olympics.”

“LeBron and The SpringHill Company have been steadfast creative partners with The History Channel and we are excited to team up with them again to expand our storytelling footprint,” in a statement from Eli Lehrer, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for The History Channel. “Together, we are committed to shining a light on diverse narratives that broaden our view of the world, enrich our knowledge of society, and cultivate a new generation of history lovers. Jesse Owens is the perfect sports legend to highlight next in our partnership.”

Here’s the official description:

The setting is the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany, which is overpowered by the politically charged backdrop of swastikas, racial discrimination, and goose-stepping storm troopers. Three years before the start of WWII, African American track and field athlete Jesse Owens took the world stage and launched into international fame by making Olympic history after winning four gold medals in the 100-meter dash, long jump, 200-meter dash and 4×100-meter dash. This feat made him arguably one of the greatest and most impactful athletes of all time. “Triumph: Jesse Owens and the Berlin Olympics” (w.t.) will explore the dramatic tale of Owen’s athletic dedication, perseverance, and triumph over Hitler’s Aryan supremacy agenda.

Shadow and Act also reports that the “documentary will also feature archival footage, smartly executed animation, and first-hand interviews from family members, journalists, historians, and reputable athletes, including former track and field athlete Carl Lewis, American sprinters Noah Lyles, Erriyon Knighton, and Christian Coleman, and Owen’s daughters Marlene and Beverly Owens, among others.”

“LeBron and The SpringHill Company have been steadfast creative partners with The History Channel and we are excited to team up with them again to expand our storytelling footprint,” said Eli Lehrer, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming for The History Channel.

“Together, we are committed to shining a light on diverse narratives that broaden our view of the world, enrich our knowledge of society, and cultivate a new generation of history lovers. Jesse Owens is the perfect sports legend to highlight next in our partnership.”

The SpringHill Company has also set a documentary on legendary Olympian Jim Thorpe. This one will be directed by Chris Eyre, where the project will display the “life and legacy of the United States’ first Native American Olympic gold medalist whose athletic prowess across baseball, football and basketball made him one of the greatest athletes of all-time.

Details of the third project are not known yet.

Another One: LeBron James and Maverick Carter to Bring 'Million Dollar Mile' to CBS

Maverick Carter, manager and business partner of LeBron James, confessed to federal agents that he bet on NBA games through an illegal bookmaker. The Washington Post reports Carter denied placing bets for other people and “could not remember placing any bets on the Lakers.”

“In 2021 and before 38 states and the District of Columbia legalized sports betting, Maverick Carter was interviewed a single time by federal law enforcement regarding their investigation into Wayne Nix,” Adam Mendelsohn, a spokesperson for Carter and James, said in a statement to the Post. “Mr. Carter was not the target of the investigation, cooperated, was never charged, and never contacted again on the matter.”

The 20 bets ranged from $5,000 to $10,000 each. Managers are not forbidden to bet by the NBA or NBA Players Association.

Nix is a former minor league basketball player who operated an illegal sports gambling business and filed false tax returns. His business operated for 20 years with clients like Scottie Pippen and Yasiel Puig.

“Maverick’s his own man and at the end of the day, gambling is legal,” James said following the . “I mean, you can go on your phone right now and do whatever you want. And he has no affiliation with the NBA or NFL, so, he can do what he wants to do.”

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Four Horseman” Pays Homage To LeBron

One of the greatest shoes ever made is the Nike Air Force 1 Low. If you are a huge sneakerhead, then you have certainly owned a pair at one point. Overall, it is just a timeless silhouette that will never get old. Even 40 years later, this is still a lot of people’s favorite Nike sneaker.

Interestingly enough, back in the mid-2000s, Nike made a “Four Horsemen” Air Force 1. This shoe was meant to pay homage to LeBron James and his inner circle of Maverick Carter, Randy Mims, and of course, Rich Paul. There were multiple colorways in this series, and now, it seems like it is coming back.

A New Nike Air Force 1 Low

Below, you can find the official images for the latest “Four Horsemen” color scheme. Overall, this one pays homage to all four members of the High School friend group. If you love LeBron and the lore behind his career, then these will be an absolute must-have.

Firstly, this shoe begins with a white leather upper. Secondly, we get some green on the Nike swoosh, outsole, tongue, and inner lining. There are even some green Knight chess pieces on the back heel. Moreover, this is complemented by the initials of all four men on the back heel.

This is definitely not a shoe that will appeal to everyone, although it is a cool piece of history. LeBron and his friends have made huge waves in the basketball and entertainment worlds. They are most definitely deserving of their own sneaker.

Release Details

At the time of writing this, the shoe does not yet have an exact release date. However, it is expected to drop at some point in April. Let us know what you think of these, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sneaker world.

LeBron James Trolls His Friends Maverick Carter And Rich Paul For Being Adele And Jay-Z’s Chargers Game ‘Plus-Ones’

There was quite a stir on the internet when British singer Adele “debuted” her new beau Rich Paul after months of low-key “hanging out” (as he put it in an interview in The New Yorker in May), with fans flabbergasted (or outright confused, for the singer’s fans who don’t watch the sportsball) by the seemingly unlikely pairing. Paul, of course, is the agent of NBA superstar LeBron James, who it turns out isn’t above teasing his friend’s PDA with the “Easy On Me” singer, as he did on Twitter last night during the Thursday night football game between the Los Angeles Chargers (still feels weird to type) and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Adele, Paul, and LeBron’s other right-hand man Maverick Carter were all caught on the broadcast along with James’ mentor and favorite rapper Jay-Z, and he couldn’t resist taking the opportunity to troll his friends for being less famous than their companions. “Who the heck are Jay-Z and Adele’s +1s????” he tweeted, adding a monocle emoji for extra effect.

Of course, Mav and Rich are likely used to drawing just a little less attention after growing up with LeBron in Cleveland and helping to manage his career since he was drafted straight out of high school in 2003. Nearly 20 years later, it seems they’re as tight as ever — and enjoying the benefits of it, hanging out not just with LeBron, but with two of the biggest names in entertainment as well.

Oh, and the Chargers lost. Sigh.
