Tupac’s Sister Blasts Donald Trump’s Comparisons as ‘Blasphemous’

Tupac’s sister, Set Shakur, is not having any comparisons between her late brother and former president Donald Trump. As Trump is set to be arraigned, he has often been compared to Tupac, the most recent being by Trump’s attorney Alina Habba, who also threw Biggie’s name in the mix as well.

Appearing on TMZ, Shakur stated the comparison was “blasphemous.”

“My brother was measured by his integrity, his principles and personal and collective responsibility,” Shakur said.

Speaking with Benny Johnson on The Benny Show, Trump’s attorney Alina Habba agreed with the show’s host that the forthcoming charges would raise the notoriety of the former President.

Habba would respond to Johnson stating, “Donald Trump is Tupac. Donald Trump is Biggie Smalls.” Habba would state she’s from the east coast, showing Biggie bias and stating Trump would be bigger than Tupac.

“Donald Trump is his own brand, he is everything,” Habba said. “This is just going to boost him we have seen it in the polls. This is not a question, this is a fact.”

Habba isn’t the first person to make the comparison. Chris Rock was on hand as Adam Sandler received the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in D.C. Never one to miss a moment for political discourse, Rock threw a Trump joke while honoring his friend Sandler.

“Are you guys really gonna arrest Trump?” Rock stated. “Do you know this is only going to make him more popular? It’s like arresting Tupac. He’s just gonna sell more records. Are you stupid?”

Trump Raises Over $7 Million for His Campaign Since Being Indicted

The idea that an indictment may make Donald Trump more popular could be accurate. With arraignment set for today (Apr. 4), the Trump campaign is boasting a record number of donations.

According to the New York Daily News, Trump’s campaign has secured $7 million since the indictment.

One to predict the popularity of Trump rising was Chris Rock, who recently inserted the forthcoming arraignment into a bit.

“Are you guys really gonna arrest Trump?” Rock stated. “Do you know this is only going to make him more popular? It’s like arresting Tupac. He’s just gonna sell more records. Are you stupid?”

Former President Donald Trump is once again calling for his base of supporters to ride for him. Trump spoke to his supporters, writing the “leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States will be arrested on Tuesday of next week.”

The alarming portion of his message is his call to his supporters to “Protest, take our nation back.” The words are similar to those used ahead of the Insurrection at the Nation’s capitol. New York City is now preparing for any clashes that could happen in the city, if Trump is indeed arrested.

According to CNN, Trump believes his base being charged up would help him politically. He also sees a positive in the indictment.

During the ceremony, Rock added more funny context to the potential indictment. “[Trump] f—ing a porn star and paid off someone so his wife couldn’t find out. That’s romantic,” Rock said.

According to Fox News, Rock made a comparison to everyday life.

“We’ve all been cheated on. Don’t you wish that the person that cheated on you paid off somebody so you wouldn’t find out?”

Trump Adds Attorney to His Legal Team Ahead of His Arraignment

Donald Trump Reportedly Teases 2024 Presidential Run at CPAC

Facing his arraignment, Donald Trump beefed up his defense team. Added to his squad is Todd Blanche, most recently of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. He also represented Rudy Giuliani, Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and Igor Fruman.

Blanche will join attorneys Joe Tacopina and Susan Necheles in defending Trump.

Former Trumpy attorney, Tim Palatore, highlighted to CNN the appointment could be a conflict of interest.

“I know that Joe has certain potential conflict issues, given his prior contacts, with Stormy Daniels. So, who’s the right attorney, to take it to trial, is something that the client will have to decide. Ultimately, the decision of who to stand next to, before a jury, is a decision that only the client can make,” Parlatore said.

Be prepared for Donald Trump to be a name that you hear often this week. With an arraignment scheduled for today (Apr. 4), Trump’s name will ring off through social media and the news every day. Speaking with Benny Johnson on The Benny Show, Trump’s attorney Alina Habba agreed with the show’s host that the forthcoming charges would raise the notoriety of the former President.

Trump Attorney Alina Habba Compares Former President to Hip-Hop Icons: 'Donald Trump is Tupac. Donald Trump is Biggie Smalls'

Be prepared for Donald Trump to be a name that you hear often this week. With an arraignment scheduled for Tuesday, Trump’s name will ring off through social media and the news every day. And to be honest, Rock may be right because that’s the thinking of Donald Trump. A couple of weekends back, Trump was once again calling for his base of supporters to ride for him after revealing he would be arrested, he didn’t mention why, but it is believed to be for paying hush money to adult star Stormy Daniels.

A spokesperson for Trump revealed that the former president didn’t receive any indication that he would be arrested. Instead, he was “rightfully highlighting his innocence.”

During the ceremony, Rock added more funny context to the potential indictment. “[Trump] f—ing a porn star and paid off someone so his wife couldn’t find out. That’s romantic,” Rock said.

Bryan Cranston Suggests “MAGA” Is A “Racist Remark”

Prepare to rehash MAGA madness as the U.S. approaches another presidential election next year. Donald Trump coined the phrase during his tenure, and it spread like wildfire among his supporters. Yet, it wasn’t just in America that MAGA mania took over. Red hats surfaced worldwide, and the “Make America Great Again” slogan was forever cemented in infamy. Some have refuted the phrase, questioning when the U.S. has been “great” to and for all of its citizens. Others associate MAGA with Trump’s often incendiary remarks disparaging People of Color or marginalized groups.

Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has been on the interview circuit, and he’s sharing thoughts about all things politics. He went toe-to-toe with Bill Maher as the pair debated Critical Race Theory, and more recently, he addressed MAGA enthusiasts. Cranston visited Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace on CNN and explained why Trump’s slogan could be considered racist.

“When I see ‘Make America Great Again,’ my comment is, ‘Do you accept that that could possibly be construed as a racist remark?’” said Cranston. “A lot of people go, ‘How could that be racist, to make America great again?’ I said, ‘So just ask yourself from an African-American experience: When was it ever great in America for the African-American? So if you’re making it great again, it’s not including them.’”

“It’s to teach us, in the ‘woke’ world, to open up and accept the possibilities that our privilege has created blind spots for us. Maybe I haven’t seen what’s really happening, in all my years.” The reactions to the actor’s comments have been pouring from one social media platform to the next. He has been vilified by avid Trump and MAGA supporters but praised by their opponents.

Bryan Cranston & Bill Maher Clash

During his conversation with Maher earlier this month, the crux of the discussion was about the likes of CRT and The 1619 Project shining a light on the ongoing impact the institution of slavery has had on American history. Maher doesn’t believe in 1619‘s mission of dissecting the Transatlantic Slave Trade’s influence, but Cranston thinks it’s essential. “In Florida, they want to do away with critical race theory, and a lot of other states,” said the actor. “I mean, teaching how the race trade and racism is systemic in everything we’ve done in government, in social activities.”

Democratic Leaders Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi and NY Mayor Eric Adams Slam Supreme Court Ruling Overturning Roe V. Wade

Roe V. Wade Eric Adams

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi are ripping the Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe V. Wade, the landmark 1973 decision that led to the legalization of abortion in America.

Pelosi said a “radical Supreme Court” is eviscerating the health and safety of American women.  She also accused Republicans of plotting a nationwide abortion ban.  The high court’s ruling leaves abortion up to individual states.

Speaking with reporters, Pelosi vowed, “Reproductive freedom is on the ballot” in November’s midterm elections. She said the high court has reversed a constitutional right that has existed for nearly 50 years, calling it a “dangerous decision.” Pelosi also labeled the ruling cruel and heart wrenching.

According to NBC News, in a statement Schumer called it “one of the darkest days our country has ever seen.” The New York Democrat added, “Millions upon millions of American women are having their rights taken from them by unelected justices on the extremist MAGA court.”

MAGA is shorthand for former President Trump’s longtime slogan, Make America Great Again.

Other officials reacting to the Roe V. Wade decision is New York City Mayor Eric Adams, condemning the ruling, calling it an affront to human rights that shackles women and others to “reproductive bondage.” Adams says the Supreme Court has ignored the opinions of the majority of Americans.

Abortion is still legal in New York, even for those coming from out of state.
