Eminem Becomes “Lucifer” On Sly Pyper-Assisted “The Death Of Slim Shady” Song: Stream

The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) is the talk of the town, and it’s because of the density and grand nature behind tracks like “Lucifer.” On this track, which features a soulful and slightly bluesy Sly Pyper chorus and a stark and Wild Wild West-esque beat, Eminem tackles the hypocrisy of Candace Owens, his family upbringing, and his lack of lyrical mercy for pretty much any target. Much of this song, just like some other cuts like “Fuel,” does contain a lot of attempts to infuriate, scandalize, and “cancel” himself, and some of it’s a mixed bag.

But there are still hilarious, impressive, or exciting moments on here like a particular can of Coke bar, the rhyme scheme that he employs to criticize Candace, or the idea that people would be better off battling Kendrick Lamar than facing off against him. In fact, this even revived debate about whether Marshall or K.Dot would win in a rap battle. From the flows, wordplay, and rhyme schemes employed on “Lucifer,” we know that it would be a tough matchup for both MCs.

Eminem feels in his element on The Death Of Slim Shady, for better or worse, and songs like “Lucifer” bring out some of the best realizations of this comfort. Quotable Lyrics
You sleep on the flow, h*e, you hear these strings climb?
You reap what you sow, so first I must weave rhymes,
So seamlessly, then I’ma leave eyes in a state of disbelief,
My genius is a trait, so the gap’s in our genes, right?

Eminem and Candace Owens‘ longstanding feud found its way into his latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).

Although, the “Tobey” rapper gave out a few flowers across the body of work, he couldn’t help but delivery a few jabs as well. On tracks “Lucifer” and “Bad One,” Eminem had a fresh round of disses for Owens.

Owens took to her official YouTube channel to clap back, calling Eminem a “lefty elitist” that “cosplays” as a race that he isn’t.

“You’re so irrelevant,” she said. “Your music isn’t good anymore, Granddad Shady. He is a lesson to a lot of people out there that you need to know when it’s time for you to retire.”

The nicknames (“Grand Wizard,” “Klandace,” and “Grand Dragon”) Eminem gifted to Owens weren’t as PG-13 not his sharp lines.

“And Candice O, I ain’t mad at her/ I ain’t gon’ throw the fact b*tch forgot she was Black back at her / Laugh at her, like them crackers she’s backin’ after,” rapper Em on “Lucifer.”

On “”Bad One,” Eminem rapped, “she turned her back on her own race,” in reference to her public supporter of Donald Trump and critics of the Black Lives Matter movement.

D.L. Hughley Compares Kanye West To Lucifer

The beef between D.L. Hughley and Kanye West is well-documented. They seem unlikely to have tension, but following West’s anti-Semitic rants, Hughley came forward. The legendary comedian argued that if Kanye was a woman, he would be under conservatorship like Britney Spears.

In a new interview with VladTV, Hughley again tackles West’s controversies. “I really fault a lot of these people who are taking advantage,” he began. “Well, I can’t say they’re taking advantage.” However, he doesn’t understand why West’s team allows him to jump from one outlet to another, knowing he would make unhinged statements.

Vlad brought up West stating that his mother, Michael Jordan’s father, and Bill Cosby’s son were all sacrificed. He also detailed the circumstances surrounding Donda West’s untimely death following cosmetic surgery. Vlad claims he investigated the story, and it was far from a sacrifice.

“I think that—biblically, Lucifer was a cherub. He was—his name means Morning Star. Lucifer was beautiful and he was God’s minister of music,” Hughley replied. “He was exalted, and he was perfect. And Lucifer had seen God. He knew that he was created by him. But Lucifer was so charismatic and so talented, he talked other angels in trying to bum rush heaven.”

“If talent and charisma is so mesmerizing, so intoxicating, it can make angels rise up against God,” Hughley continued. “It can make us alter our understanding of things. We’ll start to believe things. That is the most dangerous thing about what’s going on here.”

“It says a lot that a man who loves Hitler and Trump, it says a lot that you love those two people. And it says even more that people are contorting themselves to make that make sense.”

Meanwhile, after declaring his admiration of Adolf Hitler, saying Nazis aren’t all bad, and repeatedly speaking negatively about the Jewish community, West has been silent. He has promised he will attempt the presidential nomination in 2024, and it’s expected that he will reemerge with the details of his campaign.
