LeBron James Calls Savannah The “Real MVP” In Touching Speech

At this point, every NBA fan should know that LeBron James has broken the all-time NBA scoring record. It is one of those records that has stood for a very long time. Overall, there was skepticism that anyone would ever break the record. However, James was able to do it thanks to an amazing career that saw him show up and show out, every single night. Moving forward, LeBron will be able to improve upon his record and make it that much harder to break in the future.

Unfortunately for James and the Lakers, the team still sucks despite his recent record. These days, James is trying his best just to squeak out a win. Ultimately, the Lakers opted to make some trades yesterday to improve the team. For instance, Russell Westbrook is now on the Utah Jazz as the team brought in D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt. Additionally, the team got Mo Bamba in a move that sent Patrick Beverley to Orlando. Subsequently, the Lakers were set to play the Milwaukee Bucks last night. However, James decided to take the night off, and instead, gave a speech to the Lakers faithful.

LeBron James Speaks

Throughout this speech, James spoke about his journey throughout the NBA and everything he has been through over the years. Moreover, he talked about the support he has gotten from his wife Savannah. She was standing behind him with their kids, and he said some moving words about her. “She’s the real MVP. She’s actually the All-Time leading scorer,” LeBron said. Overall, it was very much in the same vein as what Kevin Durant once said about his mother after winning league MVP. No matter what, it is clear that James is grateful for his family and everyone who has believed in him.

Moving forward now, LeBron and the Lakers will have to fight to get into the postseason. They have an incredibly solid roster now, and it should be interesting to see how they start playing. Hopefully, for LeBron, this is the sign of only good things to come. Let us know what you thought of LeBron’s speech, down in the comments below. Skip Bayless Praises Lakers For Russell Westbrook Trade

Skip Bayless has had a whole lot to say about the Los Angeles Lakers these past couple of years. Overall, he has been tough on LeBron James, however, he has been much tougher on Russell Westbrook. Westbrook is someone who has struggled as a member of the Lakers. While he got better off the bench, it still wasn’t enough. Consequently, Bayless has been urging the Lakers to trade him. After all, it is the trade deadline which means now would be the time for them to do it.

Interestingly enough, the Lakers had been working on a deal with numerous other teams. One of those teams was the Utah Jazz. Subsequently, they decided to come through with a finalized deal. Late last night, the Lakers sent Westbrook to the Jazz. Moreover, the Timberwolves entered the deal. This eventually led to the Lakers landing players like Jarred Vanderbilt, Malik Beasley, and D’Angelo Russell. Overall, this was a blockbuster move that makes the Lakers a lot better.

Skip Bayless Speaks

Today, Bayless got to give his opinion on this trade. As you can imagine, he thinks this is massive for the Lakers. Moreover, he believes Darvin Ham will love this. “I give them a shot at making a run at winning the West because I have that much respect left for LeBron James. The cloud that hung over them was Russ,” Bayless said. “The cloud that hung over the Lakers was Russell Westbrook and was constantly a problem for Darvin Ham. I think he’s the most relieved human on Earth right now.” Whether or not Bayless is right about this, still very much remains to be seen.

The Lakers will be very interesting to watch over these coming weeks. They need to start winning games, otherwise, they will not make the postseason. However, they have a well-rounded roster now which means there are absolutely no excuses. Hopefully, for LeBron and their fans, they can get it done. Let us know what you think of the Westbrook trade, in the comments down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sports world.

LeBron James Posts Photo Dump After Record-Breaking Night

LeBron James is one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA. Overall, his status as an all time great was cemented two nights ago as he was able to finally break the all-time scoring record. This is one of those records that is almost impossible to break. However, with his longevity and consistency, LeBron was able to do what many once thought to be completely and utterly not possible. Even if you hate James, you can’t deny his greatness and what he means to the NBA as a whole. With this new record, he has only helped elevate himself amongst the game’s legends.

Going into the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron needed just 36 points to surpass Kareem. Many felt like this would not be possible and that he would just get the record tonight. Instead, James played an amazing game where he picked up 38 points. In the end, this was more than enough to put him over the edge that he needed. It was a truly historic night and James had all of the support in the world. Overall, it could have brought a tear to your eyes.

LeBron Posts

Following the game, LeBron went out to a night club to spend time with friends and family. Many of those people were at the game on Tuesday, and he clearly appreciated the support. As you can see in the Instagram post above, James posted a photo dump of the night and all the people who showed love. Moreover, he included a long caption in which he thanked his family for all of their enduring support. “I just wanna say thank you to my beautiful family! Especially my wife, kids and mom. Without yall sacrifices I wouldn’t be able to travel on the journey I’ve been on for the past 20+ years playing the game I LOVE!!” he wrote.

As the season goes on, James will be looking to make this season more special. It has been a difficult go for King James, but if anyone can turn the tide of the season, it would most definitely be him. Russell Westbrook Sent To Jazz In Blockbuster Move

If you are a fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, it has become clear that Russell Westbrook isn’t cut out for the team. Overall, he has been a shell of himself these last couple of seasons. He has been missing some incredibly easy shots, all while causing numerous turnovers. As a whole, he just hasn’t been cutting it and fans have been getting very annoyed. Consequently, there have been all sorts of trade discussions involving Westbrook. Unfortunately, his value has been severely diminished and there was skepticism that the Lakers would find a trade partner.

A few days ago, the purple and gold were fairly confident that they would find a trade partner in the Brooklyn Nets. This would ultimately lead to Kyrie Irving, however, the Nets made it clear that they didn’t care for the Lakers’ deal. Subsequently, the Lakers had to go and search for new partners. Last night, it was reported that they officially found a suitor for Westbrook. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers got back a pretty good haul that promises to make them a whole lot better.

Russell Westbrook Deal

As you can see in the tweet above, the Lakers are going to be adding D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt to the roster. Moreover, the Utah Jazz will get Russell Westbrook and the Lakers’ 2027 first-round pick. Finally, the Minnesota Timberwolves will get Mike Conley. When you look at the breakdown, it becomes apparent that the Lakers won this trade fairly easily. The Jazz are likely going to buy out Westbrook’s contract, while the T-Wolves gave up a lot to get a little back. Overall, you should be very happy right now if you are a fan of the Lakers.

Moving forward, it will be very interesting to see how this plays out. The Lakers need to start winning some games here, or they will miss the playoffs again. Consequently, they could anger LeBron James further, which would then just lead to more trades and turmoil. Let us know what you think of this Russell Westbrook move, in the comments below. Anthony Davis Didn’t Seem To Care About LeBron’s Record

When Anthony Davis was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, it was clear that he and LeBron James were the best duo in basketball. Subsequently, in their first season together, LeBron and AD were able to win an NBA championship. Overall, this was an incredible achievement that gave Davis his first title, and LeBron his fourth. In recent years, however, the Lakers have regressed. Davis has dealt with numerous injuries, and there has been this sense that AD could be traded at some point. As for LeBron, he is clearly unhappy with some of the other moves that have been made by the front office.

Yesterday, however, was a much happier day for LeBron and the Lakers franchise. This is because James got to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record. The Lakers were playing the Oklahoma City Thunder, and James needed 36 points. Consequently, LeBron was playing with added motivation and he ended up scoring 36 points in just three quarters. Overall, it was an amazing moment that had the entire Lakers bench on their feet. Although, there was one person who did not seem to care.

Anthony Davis Reacts

In the video clip above, you can see Anthony Davis sitting down on the bench as LeBron takes the record-breaking shot. It is a pretty sad state of affairs that showcases the fractured relationships within the Lakers’ locker room. Overall, fans were pretty shocked to see this as they thought James and AD were still good friends. Of course, fans could simply be overreacting to this. However, it is odd that anyone would want to sit down in the midst of greatness. At the end of the day, it just comes across like AD is jealous of what James accomplished.

Perhaps Anthony Davis was brought up in Kyrie Irving trade discussions. That is one of the theories that fans are floating around right now. Regardless, this is a bad look for AD, and it should be interesting to see how all of this develops over the coming days and weeks. If the Lakers don’t make the playoffs, then the fallout here could be huge. Let us know what you thought of AD’s actions, in the comments section down below.

LeBron James Honored By Drake, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, & More

LeBron James has been having a difficult year with the Los Angeles Lakers. This is mainly because the team around him isn’t very good. While he does have some stars to work with, they don’t have very much synergy. Overall, they are now 25-30, which puts them 13th in the Western Conference. However, they are a long winning streak away from putting themselves comfortably into the postseason. For James, the one silver lining is that he has been very close to surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s longstanding scoring record.

On Tuesday night, James and the Lakers took on the Oklahoma City Thunder at home. With 36 points to go, many felt like LeBron would just wait until Thursday to break the record. Although, it is clear that the legend had much different plans. Throughout the first half of the game, James could be seen heating up, and his rise as the league’s all-time scorer became inevitable. Subsequently, James had a massive third quarter where he scored the 16 points necessary to break the record. All-in-all, it was a truly amazing moment that had fans on their feet.

LeBron Gets His Flowers

Following the record, LeBron received a special message from a whole plethora of famous artists and athletes. As you can see in the clip above, James got praise from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Rihanna, Shaq, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Carmelo Anthony, and even his mother Gloria. Overall, it was a truly touching and heartfelt moment as each person congratulated LeBron on his achievement. After 20 years in the NBA, James has attained what many felt was impossible. Moreover, James has at least two more years to go, which means he is only going to increase his points tally. Consequently, this will make his record that much harder to break.

At this point, you cannot deny just how much of a legend LeBron is. He deserves this record, and we hope that people will begin to give James his flowers. He has been hit with some ridiculous slander over the years, and it is about time he gets his full respect. Let us know what you thought about his record, in the comments section down below.

LeBron James Fans Drake, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, And Others Congratulated Him On The NBA Scoring Record With Videos

On April 5, 1984, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored his 31,420th point in the NBA, which broke the league’s all-time scoring record previously held by Wilt Chamberlain. For decades, that record felt unbreakable, but in recent years, it became clear that LeBron James would likely eclipse the mark one day. Well, that day was yesterday (February 7): In the Los Angeles Lakers’ losing effort against the Oklahoma City Thunder, James made the record-breaking shot near the end of the third quarter and put himself atop the all-time list.

Now, the NBA icon has received congratulatory message from music stars like Drake, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar.

Various celebrities recorded videos congratulating James on his historic achievement, with Snoop saying in his, “In the words of the great Snoop Dogg: ‘La-da-da-da-da!’ It’s the one and only LBJ: LeBron James! Great work, baby. Appreciate the love. Love what you do, keep doing what you’re doing, more buckets, more points, more love.”

Drake said in his clip, seemingly filmed at James’ high school gym, “LeBron: what a legendary night in NBA history. You’re breaking the all-time scoring record, and to honor that, I had to come back to the place that it all started: Akron, Ohio. Every journey has its beginning and tonight…” As he spoke, though, the illusion was broken thanks to a green screen malfunction, revealing a club environment behind him. He continued, “I lied, I lied to you. I’m actually still at the club in Miami, but definitely all the girls say congrats, though, right girls? Congrats, right?”

In a more straightforward video, Lamar said, “To see you with this type of accomplishment, it always give a confirmation of, you can be great no matter where you come from.”

In her tribute, Rihanna said, “It is important to recognize greatness and great accomplishments. […] If course, you’re no stranger to breaking records, but this record, this is one to be more than just acknowledged: this is one to be celebrated.”

Bad Bunny didn’t record a video, but he was there in person to give LeBron a hug after the record was broken.

Meanwhile, on Twitter, John Legend wrote, “Congratulations @KingJames !!!! This man has been in the spotlight and burdened with the highest expectations since he was a teenager. And he’s done nothing but exceed those expectations and build a historic legacy. What an incredible accomplishment!”

Stephen A. Smith Hits Lakers With Russell Westbrook Advice

Stephen A. Smith has had to talk a lot about the Lakers this season. Ever since trading for Russell Westbrook last year, this team has been a mess. Overall, Russ has not been the point guard he once was. Additionally, his shooting has been horrific, and it even led to him being demoted to the bench. Needless to say, this is not what the Lakers bargained for. Consequently, it has led to all sorts of trade talks that have gone nowhere. Every week, it feels as though there is some brand-new rumor pertaining to Russ. At this juncture, however, the Lakers have yet to make a move.

Over the weekend, the Lakers thought they were going to get Kyrie Irving. After demanding a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, he seemed primed and ready for the Lakers. However, the Dallas Mavericks swooped in with a better offer, much to the dismay of Lakers fans. Now, there are renewed talks about Westbrook and whether or not he should be moved. On today’s episode of First Take, Smith offered his voice to that debate.

Stephen A. The Advisor

As you can see in the clip above, Stephen A. believes it is imperative that the Lakers keep Westbrook on the roster. This is because if they trade him, they could very well bring in pieces that mess with their cap space. However, if they keep Russ, they can let him walk in the offseason. Moreover, LeBron has already stated that the team is going to be just fine. In an interview with Michael Wilbon, the Lakers superstar made it clear that he thinks the team can make a deep run if healthy. Having said that, Smith thinks it is a good plan to just keep the roster as is.

For Lakers fans, this is the last thing they wanted to hear. For months, they have been calling for a Westbrook trade, and now, analysts are claiming they should keep things status quo. Although, it is ultimately up to Rob Pelinka in terms of what the Lakers will do a couple of days from now. Let us know what you want the purple and gold to do, in the comments below. LeBron James Speaks At Length About Lakers Losing Out On Kyrie Irving

LeBron James is one of the greatest players of all time. He is just a game or two away from the all-time scoring record, and fans are ready to celebrate him. However, things haven’t been fantastic for James. This is because the Lakers are currently 25-29, which puts them 13th in the Western Conference. LeBron is entering the final stages of his career, and he wants to win an NBA title. Although as constructed, there is no way his Lakers are even close to making something like that happen. Consequently, there has been all sorts of talk about what the Lakers could do at the trade deadline.

Of course, the big name that has been thrown around is Russell Westbrook. The Lakers have been trying to trade him for a very long time. Now, they only have four days to do so, otherwise, they have to keep him for the remainder of the season. Over the weekend, a huge opportunity opened up on the front. This was in the form of Kyrie Irving, whom LeBron has been clamoring for since the summer. Lakers fans were optimistic about getting Kyrie, however, he ended up with the Dallas Mavericks instead.

LeBron James Opens Up

Not soon after the trade, LeBron was interviewed by ESPN, and the video is already making its way to Twitter. As you can see in the clip above, James was very honest about how he feels on this topic. In fact, if you’re Russell Westbrook, you’re probably feeling a way right now. “Well definitely disappointed,” James started. “I can’t sit here and say I’m not disappointed on not being able to land such a talent but someone I had great chemistry with that can help you win championships. But my focus has shifted back to where it should be and that’s this club now.”

Now, LeBron and the Lakers will have to continue on as constructed. While there is still hope to do something at the deadline, there is no one quite like Kyrie available. Needless to say, things just keep on going from bad to worse in Laker-land. Hopefully, for LeBron, something changes soon. Otherwise, it will be yet another season outside of the playoffs.
