In just two days, Lil Tjay will launch the Beat The Odds Tour — his first since 2021, when he toured his second album, Destined 2 Win. Since then, he’s recovered after being shot seven times during a failed robbery attempt in New Jersey last June, and released his third studio album, 222, this July.

Tjay will be joined on this tour by a slew of artists, including frequent collaborator Fivio Foreign, Dej Loaf, and rising stars Skilla Baby, Joony, Dina Ayada, Killy, Lithe, and Karri. See below for more info about the Beat The Odds Tour openers.

Fivio Foreign

Brooklyn rapper Fivio Foreign is best known for his collaborations with late drill rap vanguard Pop Smoke, as well as high-profile collabs with the likes of Drake, Kanye West, Lil Baby, and Quavo. After being featured in the 2020 XXL Freshman Class, he released his debut album, B.I.B.L.E. in 2022, debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Dej Loaf

Blog era fave Dej Loaf first came to national prominence in 2014 with the release of her second mixtape, Sell Sole, and its single “Try Me.” She was signed to Columbia Records, but after years of delays, split from the label to independently release Sell Sole II in 2020. Since then, the Detroit native has made regular appearances as a coveted features artist for artists like Doe Boy and Tyla Yaweh.

Lithe

When the tour swings around to Australia, local singer Lithe will join, performing popular tracks like “Lot Of Love,” “Pessimist,” and “Hold Out.”

Karri

The tour’s West Coast swing will see rising San Francisco R&B singer Karri tag along. His latest release is the four-song EP, Only U.

Lil Tjay Kicked Out Of Hotel For Blasting Music

Lil Tjay was having a blast at the hotel he was staying in, but not if the employees had something to say about it. A video is making its way on Instagram, where the Bronx rapper is voicing his annoyance with being tossed out for noise complaints. Furthermore, he was at a club tossing singles up the ceiling. Maybe celebrating the recent release of his album 222. After leaving the club the night before, he presumably booked a room at the hotel. The next morning, around 8 a.m. the workers and other guests had enough of the raucous sounds and removed him from the premises.

The auto-crooner shared how he really felt in the video saying, “I’m at this buma** hotel, they just kicked me out.” He goes on, “I walked in there, turn up my music, man they gon’ tell me ‘yo turn the music down.’” Tjay responded saying, “Hold on, hold on, don’t worry we gon’ turn it down right now.” Then the workers come back later and say, “‘Get out the room.’” This video has sparked converse opinions in the comments section of the Instagram video.

Lil Tjay Will Prove That He ‘Beat The Odds’ During His Upcoming Tour

With his new album, 222, out now, Lil Tjay is preparing for his first tour since recovering from being shot seven times during a robbery last year. Fittingly, he’s calling the tour the Beat The Odds Tour, drawing the name from the first single he released in the wake of the incident. His album also features a song called “Beat The Odds 2” featuring longtime rhyme partner Polo G and the single “July 22,” which recounts the shooting.

Lil Tjay’s ‘222’ Tracklist Boasts Features Polo G, Summer Walker, And The Kid Laroi

Next week, Lil Tjay will be dropping his anticipated new album, 222. To hold fans over until then, the rapper has shared the album’s tracklist, which also includes some star-studded features — showcasing just how far he’s grown since his last record in 2021.

Lil Tjay’s first feature on the tracklist is Summer Walker on “Stressed.” The two have previously collaborated on the Pop Smoke “Mood Swings” remix.

Following that on the album is “2 Grown,” which includes The Kid Laroi.

Fivio Foreign is set to appear on the new track “Bla Bla” — marking the latest in the duo’s line of collabs. Some of Lil Tjay and Fivio Foreign’s past songs included “Zoo York,” which featured the late Pop Smoke, “Not In The Mood,” and “Headshot.”

“I mean, just being from New York, it’s just a great energy all together,” LIl Tjay shared with Apple Music about “Headshot” at the time, via RapUp.

Other key features on Lil Tjay’s upcoming album include Jadakiss on “Hole In My Heart,” Youngboy Never Broke Again on “Project Walls,” Coco Jones on “Grateful,” and more surprises.

Lil Tjay Shared Throwback Photos With Pharrell As A Thank You For Helping Him Heal From Multiple Gunshot Wounds

After being shot on June 22 of last year, Lil Tjay was rushed into emergency surgery and remained unconscious for around one week. That August, the Bronx rapper updated fans on his condition and clarified that he was shot seven times. This weekend, following the release of his reflective single “June 22nd,” Lil Tjay offered a retroactive glimpse into last summer by sharing throwback photos of him and Pharrell. They show Lil Tjay is still wearing his neck brace.

“Thanks for the knowledge and advice big bro.. [prayer hands emoji],” Lil Tjay captioned his Instagram carousel. “For those who don’t know while I was getting my mind right and healing this time last year I had a couple days to sit down w P and talk/vent about life nd everything you know wassup! But yea without you I would’ve never dug this deep and I appreciate u. Wanna thank u deeply @pharrell #222 July 14”

The “#222” and “July 14” at the caption’s end shouldn’t be overlooked, as it seems that Lil Tjay is slyly confirming the release date for his next album, 222. He also teased the project in other posts, including one promising and 222 has been made available to pre-order or pre-save here.
