Adin Ross is a content creator who has been embroiled in more than a few controversies. Overall, he has been able to survive all of this, regardless of the scope of the scandal. Moreover, he is one of the main investors over at Kick, so it should come as no surprise that he has been able to keep things going. He is worth tens of millions of dollars, and he will not be stopping anytime soon. Although there are certainly some fans who believe he needs to slow down his lifestyle.
In the past year or so, Ross has been incredibly forthcoming and honest about his issues with addiction. Namely, Ross has had a bad lean problem. It is unclear exactly whether or not he has been able to kick his habit. However, in a recent stream, rapper Lucki told a story about just how desperate Ross used to be for some lean. In the video down below, you can see that Lucki admits to having the same dealer as Adin. He then says Adin once spent $12K on the drug.
For many, this was a truly wild revelation. $12K on any drug is a lot, but this felt like overkill to many of Ross’ fans. However, it just goes to show how desperate drug addiction can make you. Furthermore, when you have money to spend like Adin Ross, sometimes, $12K really isn’t all that much. For the average person, that would certainly be enough money to make your head spin.

Lil Durk has had a truly inspirational career arc. A decade ago, no one could have predicted the star that Durk would eventually become. However, he was able to beat the odds and now, he is one of the biggest artists in the game. It has been truly special to watch him, although while he has been grinding away, he has also had some personal demons. For instance, Durk recently spoke to TMZ where he revealed that he went to rehab last year for Xanax and Lean addiction.
“I wanted better. I wanted to be a better man, a better father, a better leader. I’m thinking clearer. My main goal is peace, being with the family and staying out of bullshit,” Durk said. “I just see myself staying on the right track and trying to change a lot of lives. This for the youth or the older people who wanna do better and feel like they embarrassed or like people gonna talk about them.”
The famous artist also noted that in the future, he hopes to start a rehab facility in Chicago. He knows what treatment can do for people, and it would only make sense for him to return the favor. “In Chicago I wanna build one [a rehab facility] because I know what it did for me. I know it could help a lot of people,” Durk noted. Needless to say, Durk is a man of the people. He wants to do right by his city, and this would be a wonderful way to do it.

In the world of Hip Hop where success and excess often intertwine, there lies a sobering truth beneath the surface. It’s no surprise that many artists have dealt with drug abuse and addiction throughout their careers. However, the prevalence of lean addiction among some of the industry’s most prominent rappers has alarmed many fans. Lean’s seductive allure, coupled with its dangerous effects, has sadly ensnared many within the rap community. Consequently, this has led to a cascade of candid confessions from those grappling with addiction. The most recent statement came from Bow Wow, who admitted to formerly being addicted to sizzurp. Here are five rappers who have openly admitted to having addiction to the purple mixture.
Without a doubt, Lil Wayne is one of the most popular rappers who have admitted to having an addiction to lean. As a matter of fact, throughout his career, Wayne has never shied away from mentioning his use of the drug. In many of his songs like “Lock And Load” and “Codeine Dreaming,” he addresses the topic. Additionally, for years, the rapper was seen on many different occasions taking the purple drink. Weezy never needed to make a special public announcement because he never hid it from the world in the first place. However, he did publicly speak about an addiction to sizzurp. One such time was when he spoke to Vlad TV in a 2010 PSA.
Mac Miller’s battle with addiction was a poignant and deeply personal journey that resonated with fans worldwide. Admittedly, his struggles extended beyond lean addiction. However, his candid acknowledgment of his dependency on the concoction provided a stark reminder of the perils of substance abuse within the music industry. Miller was one of a few rappers to openly acknowledge his lean addiction, doing so through his music, interviews, and public statements. For example, Miller told Complex in 2013 that he loved lean and thought the drug was great. Sadly, the rapper passed away in September 2018 due to an accidental drug overdose of cocaine, fentanyl, and alcohol.
When Mac Miller passed, it affected rappers around the world, and it shook Bow Wow so much that he came out to open up about his own addiction to lean. In a series of tweets, the rapper shared that he had taken the drug so much that he had become addicted to it. “When me and Omarion worked on FACE OFF album. I was high off lean every day! When y’all saw me on BET going off on torae, I was high off lean,” he wrote. During a recent interview with The Art Of Dialogue, he spoke about his former addiction once again. He spoke extensively about his excessive use of the drug when he used to take it, and withdrawal symptoms when he tried stopping.
In 2019, Juelz Santana spoke about his lean addiction in interviews with Drink Champs and Vlad TV. On Drink Champs, the Love & Hip Hop: New York star shared, “I was drinking lean, and did I have an addiction? For sure.” He continued, “I was addicted to the point where I was drinking it every day, and if I stopped, yeah, I would have got sick.” After also talking about his addiction on Vlad TV, he advised, “It’s gotta come out [of your body], and it’s gotta come out the worst type of way. And the worst type of way is through every part of your body. Aching, hurting, pains, throwing up. It’s not a good feeling, and I definitely don’t recommend it.”
One of the first rappers to admit a dependency on lean, Gucci Mane publicly addressed his addiction back in 2013. Before heading to rehab, the rapper took to Twitter to apologize for erratic behavior caused by lean that had gotten him apprehended by the police. “I’ve been drinking lean for 10 plus years & I must admit it has destroyed me. I wanna be the first rapper to admit I’m addicted to lean and that sh*t ain’t no joke,” he wrote. “I’m currently incarcerated but I will be going to rehab because I need help. I wanna thank everyone that has stood by me during this difficult time. Please keep me in your prayers,” he concluded. The rapper has since kicked his addiction and remains sober to this day.
Bow Wow has been in the spotlight since childhood, and like many of his contemporaries, the recording artist faced serious turmoil in early adulthood, perhaps as a result of all the pressure he was under from a young age. In a new sitdown with The Art of Dialogue, Shad Moss speaks candidly about how sipping lean led to extra drama in his personal life, not to mention the L’s he took in his career as a result. “I was sipping so much syrup, I said this after Mac Miller died. I spoke on this s**t, I was drinking that s**t [all the time],” he recalled.
“If you go back and watch The Road to Platinum series on BET, you’ll see so many white Styrofoam cups. I was losing my f**king mind. That lean s**t had me f**ked up. I was just always irritated,” Bow Wow vented to the outlet. Things became so bad, as HipHopDX reports, that Lil Wayne once gave the Like Mike star a “baby bottle” full of lean to soothe him. As he was heading out on tour with Chris Brown in 2007, things for the 36-year-old became particularly dangerous, leading to a much-needed wake-up call.
Bow Wow Recalls Dropping Out of Chris Brown Tour in 2007
“The opening night was in Cincinnati and when I got off stage, I collapsed. I went straight to Cincinnati University Hospital. My stomach was so f**ked up I ended up going back home to Atlanta after the first show,” Bow Wow looked back on the scary moment. “I’m sitting in the hospital not knowing what the f**k going on, and I get back home and the s**t gets worse. I’m throwing up, I’m shivering in the bed, I’m sweating, I’m going through it. I didn’t know I was having withdrawals. That’s how much lean I was consuming.” Moss made sure to thank his former publicist, Pattie Webster, for protecting his image by telling the world that her client dropped out of the joint tour with Breezy to recover from dehydration.
“That’s just good PR. We didn’t want the world to know that 18, 19-year-old Bow was heavy on the drank,” he said before urging anyone watching to consider giving up their drug habits. The impact that lean and other substances have far beyond the music industry is disappointing to see, but as people continue to share their negative experiences with using, it becomes easier for others to resist walking the same path. Just a few months ago, Lucki and Lil Yachty discussed their expensive lean addictions on the latter’s podcast, even claiming that Young Thug once had to pay $5K in “tax” from dealers to get his supply. Rick Ross is a legendary artist who has been through a lot in his career. Overall, he is in a place of peace in his career. While he still makes music here and there, he mostly focuses on his businesses. These businesses have put him in a great place, and he believes he can be a billionaire soon. Consequently, he is someone who has the ability to drop gems on his audience. Furthermore, he can talk some sense into the youth who may not be hip to some of the games that are played in the industry.
Recently, Ross got to link up with Adin Ross for a Kick stream. It had been a while since Ross had gotten a rapper on his stream, but Rozay was down for the cause. As you can see down below, the stream started off on some rocky terms as Ross ended up breaking Adin’s chair. While trying to move around in the chair, one of the legs broke. Adin didn’t seem to care too much, and Rozay made sure to spin the situation. As he explained, he has too much money in his pockets, and it weighs him down.
Later in the stream, the two Ross’ ended up bonding over the fact that they have both suffered from lean addiction. Adin said that he has kicked his addiction, which was good news for Rick Ross. In fact, the latter noted that his seizures are a direct cause of his lean usage. He urged Adin to continue his sobriety, noting that being addicted to lean is one of the worst things you can do to yourself. Being able to get this kind of advice will hopefully go a long way for the young streamer.

Andrew Tate is someone who is quite outspoken about various topics in popular culture. Although his opinions are mostly rooted in the kind of toxicity only a 13-year-old could love, it just so happens there are a lot of 13-year-olds out there. Overall, this propensity for men to veer toward misogyny has made Tate a lot of money. That said, Tate could very well lose his fortune soon, as he is currently being investigated for human trafficking in the country of Romania.
Interestingly enough, Tate has become friends with a plethora of content creators. Among them is none other than Adin Ross. Overall, Ross is one of the biggest streamers in the world. He currently resides over on Kick, where he can get away with a lot more than he used to. Unfortunately, Ross has gone through some struggles as of late. For instance, he recently told his stream that he relapsed into his lean addiction. As you will see below, this got Andrew Tate very upset.
In the clips up above, Tate makes the accusation that Ross only does lean so that he can get more content for his streams. Moreover, he believes that if the creator gave himself to God, like Tate recently did, then he would be just fine. It is a pretty reductive way of looking at the world, however, that’s Tate for you. Lean addiction can be incredibly difficult to get out of. After all, the drug is called liquid heroin for a good reason.
Ross says he started using again after he tested positive for COVID-19. The streamer acknowledged it was a big mistake and that he would try to right his wrong. Hopefully, Adin can get a hold of his addiction, and beat it, once and for all. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the entertainment world.
