Megan Thee Stallion Hostile Work Environment Lawsuit Finally Receives An Update

In late April, a pretty stunning update surrounding Megan Thee Stallion came down the pipeline. It was reported by NBC News that the rapper’s now ex-cameraman, Emilio Garcia, had some scathing allegations. Garcia, who claims to have worked with her from 2019-2023, filed a lawsuit against Megan Thee Stallion for creating a “hostile, abusive work environment,” in addition to harassment. He alleges that he was fat-shamed and treated poorly overall. According to the paperwork, this all allegedly occurred while heading to Ibiza in June 2022. There was also another alleged incident that left Garcia feeling “uncomfortable” and “frozen.”

While in the back of an SUV, he alleges that Megan and another woman had sex right in front of him. After seeing that Garcia was an alleged witness to that sexual interaction, she allegedly told him, “Don’t ever discuss what you saw.” Then, following all of that, he alleges he was booked less and was eventually let go by Roc Nation. In the lawsuit, Garcia is looking for “unpaid wages, as well as interest on the unpaid wages, unpaid overtime wages and other employee benefits at the legal rate.” Megan and her team have publicly responded to these allegations, saying that they were “outlandish” and “manipulating.”

The most recent headlines surrounding this debacle came back in June, so it’s been quite a while. But according to theJasmineBrand, that all changed today. According to the outlet, Megan Thee Stallion was looking to get the case moved from Los Angeles to New York City. The California judge presiding over this case granted the MC’s wish. Additionally, Garcia declined to dismiss Roc Nation as a defendant. The updates aren’t massive, but at least it’s something. For now, we don’t when things will pick back up.

Diddy Earns Minor Legal Victory After Judge Dismisses $100 Million Judgement From Michigan Inmate

Diddy may be in federal custody right now, but at least he’s not going to have to fork out $100 million. According to a recent report from TMZ, Judge Anna Marie Anzalone is tossing out the sexual assault lawsuit from current Michigan inmate Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith. The reason being is because Mr. Cardello-Smith “failed to prove he effectively served the lawsuit in accordance with Michigan law”. The mogul’s attorney, David Fink, was the one who was able to orchestrate this victory.

If you remember, Mr. Cardello-Smith says he experienced a sexual assault encounter with Diddy back at a Detroit, Michigan party in 1997. The time in between the act and the filing of the lawsuit is key here for this reason too. Judge Anzalone is also removing the motion from the convicted felon that would have prohibited Diddy from selling assets to cover the costs. She’s doing this because she’s almost 100 percent certain the Bad Boy Records founder will win this case based on statute of limitations alone.

Prior to this new update, Diddy was going to have to pay installments of $10 million, but that’s only because he didn’t issue a response. On September 12 was when he filed the motion that was accepted today to have it waived. Now, Diddy will most likely request to have this entire lawsuit wiped, but always stick with us no matter what the next step is.

What are your thoughts on Diddy securing a small win against the Michigan prisoner? Is this going to be the only legal issue he wins moving forward? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Diddy. Drakeo The Ruler Wrongful Death Lawsuit Receives Frustrating Update

The West Coast and the hip-hop world in general lost a true legend in Drakeo the Ruler back in 2021. If you remember, he was tragically stabbed backstage at the Once Upon a Time in L.A. event. Specifically, the festival took place at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, very close to the Los Angeles Coliseum. That’s where the USC Trojans play. So, because of their proximity to that 2021 show, they were included in the wrongful death lawsuit.

Live Nation and others were also included in the paperwork, and the former tried to file a motion to dismiss their involvement in 2023. However, the entertainment company is not out of the woods, as the judge ruled against that. Now, according to AllHipHop, USC is also trying to wiggle their way out of the suit as of August 29. The judge overlooking this case, Judge Kerry Bensinger, is already lined up to consider the motion at a hearing on November 18.

Drakeo The Ruler’s Case Remains Unsolved

The university had a few statements trying to prove that they aren’t culpable in any way. “The backstage area where [Drakeo] was attacked was not a part of the Coliseum property, the Sports Arena property or any property leased or controlled by USC”. Later, university lawyers added, “USC was not involved in the production of the music festival itself. It was not involved in selecting the performers, setting the performance schedule or determining how many all-access passes any artist would be allocated”.

Overall, it’s extremely saddening to discover yet another setback. Hopefully, Drakeo’s family will get some sort of justice sooner than later. What are your thoughts on this wrongful death lawsuit update in the Drakeo the Ruler case? Do you think the court will be able to come up with a result before the end of the year? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Drakeo the Ruler.
