Lul Tim Speaks On Police Shooting Him After King Von Murder And How That Changed His Life

As part of his media tour for his upcoming documentary, Lul Tim recently sat down with DJ Vlad for an interview about the murder of King Von. He recalled how police shot him during the incident, resulting in him having to get a colostomy bag. Tim thanked medical staff for their diligence and assistance, but he admitted that it really threw him off his diet, everyday routines, and the like. Now, he mostly feels recovered even though he’s still dealing with some side effects and post-surgery developments, and it was an arduous process because it lasted for longer than he initially expected.

Elsewhere during the VladTV interview, Lul Tim also recalled the night that he faced a fight and shooting between King Von and Quando Rondo’s crews that resulted in the former’s murder. He regretted that Von allegedly escalated the situation to that level, but also stood by his notion that he juts acted to protect his friends. Tim did clarify that he doesn’t mean any disrespect towards either MC for how the situation panned out, and that it was just a tragic situation all around.

Lul Tim Recalls His Shooting Recovery

In fact, Quando Rondo himself agrees with Lul Tim, as he recently sat down for a DJ Akademiks interview in which he reflected on how unnecessary his beef with King Von really was. “At the end of the day, all this bulls**t that we’re talking about is stupid s**t that could have been handled a totally different way,” he remarked. “It could have been to the point that a song and three or four million dollars could have came out this s**t. It could have got handled in a legit way. In a music way.”

While Lul Tim did not face charges for shooting King Von, you can tell that this whole tragic situation continues to affect everyone involved regardless of their guilt. Things became more complicated when federal authorities arrested Lil Durk for alleged murder-for-hire in retaliation for Von’s death, which opened this story up again. Hopefully all these individuals can find peace and more safety moving forward with no further chances for violence.

Quando Rondo Admits King Von Beef Could Have Been Handled “A Totally Different Way”

Earlier this week, DJ Akademiks released a new interview with Quando Rondo. During it, they discussed a variety of topics including Lil Durk’s arrest. The Chicago rapper was taken into custody last month and hit with charges related to alleged murder-for-hire. His arrest took place just hours after five other alleged OTF affiliates were arrested. Authorities believe they were allegedly paid to murder Quando Rondo as retaliation for King Von’s 2020 death.

In 2022, Quando Rondo and his cousin Lul Pab were victims of a shooting at a Los Angeles gas station. Quando walked away unscathed while Lul Pab succumbed to his injuries. During his interview with Ak, Quando explained that any issues he had with King Von could have been settled through music instead of alleged violence. “At the end of the day,” he began, “All this bullsh*t that we talkin’ about is st*pid sh*t that could have been handled a totally different way. It could have been to the point that a song and three or four million dollars could have came out this sh*t.”

“It could have got handled in a legit way,” he also added. “In a music way.” This is far from the only notable moment from the interview, however. At one point, Akademiks also used the phrase “devil’s advocate,” which earned a big response from Quando Rondo. He made it clear that the comment made him extremely uncomfortable, and then almost stormed out.

“Bro, I ain’t gonna lie, I promise you. You even just saying that devil’s name, I want to take these microphones off and walk out that door,” he said in response to the remark. “I can’t let ya slide with that. This some devilish sh*t? Why’d you put the devil name in it, buddy? Boy I’m serious. You gotta take that back. Don’t lose the devils boy.”

King Von’s Sister Posts Heartfelt Tribute On Fourth Anniversary Of His Death

King Von’s murder devastated the music world. The rapper was one of the brightest talents to come out of the Chicago drill scene in the late 2010s. King Von and Lil Durk represented an exciting wave of artists who unnervingly authentic in their lyrics. Unfortunately, Von’s authenticity caught up with him, leading to his death in 2020. His legacy is still being celebrated today, however, thanks to his friends, fans and most notably, his family. King Von’s sister, Babyface Sky, took to social media on the fourth anniversary of his death to pay her respects.

Babyface Sky, who also raps, posted a photo of her and King Von when they were children. The image alone would have communicated the sense of loss she’s felt, but she included an emotional caption as well. She admitted that every year since 2020 has been difficult for her. She also questioned how things would have been different had King Von lived to enjoy a full and happy life. “I’ll take having you here over the fame and money any day,” she wrote. “My love for my siblings is different and genuine.” Babyface Sky also said she’s still uncertain as to how to process her tragic loss.

“Idk how to feel, I don’t know how to react,” she admitted. “All I can do is think about the good times we had.” Babyface Sky then reflected on the passing of her grandmother, and how the absence of both her and King Von have made things tough. “I be thinking about you and granny so much it’s crazy,” she said. The rapper concluded her King Von tribute by asking him to continue to “rest “keep resting.” King Von’s other sister, Kayla B, also paid tribute to the rapper via social media. She retweeted video footage of her brother fooling around in a car.

Von may be gone, but his death is still impacting artists today. It’s suspected that Lil Durk’s desire to get revenge for the rapper’s death led to an attempted hit being put on Quando Rondo. The alleged hit led to the death of Rondo’s cousin. Five men were recently indicted in relation to the death, followed shortly by Lil Durk himself. The Chicago rapper is currently being held in Broward County Jail in Florida. He’s been charged with murder-for-hire, and is awaiting trial.

Lil Durk Snitched On King Von, Charleston White Claims

Charleston White has claimed that Lil Durk snitched on King Von to “beat a case”. “Von was killed for beating on a n-gga smaller than him. We not shaming Durk? Durk snitched on Von to beat a case! My n-gga. We not shaming Durk? He snitched on Von, my n-gga,” White argued. In response, someone on screen replies “that’s the word on the street”. While these are years-old rumors, White must also be taken with a grain of salt due to his notoriety and penchant for drama.

The rumors that Durk snitched on Von have persisted for years, ever since Durk seemed to get off the same charges as Von for a 2019 arrest. However, documents related to the case were released earlier in the year. Those materials showed that Durk refused to cooperate with police and said nothing other than to ask for his lawyer. Despite this, the rumors have still persisted and people still believe that Durk’s actions may have led to Von’s eventual death.

Lul Tim Has King Von Charges Dropped

It’s been a busy year in regard to the now three-year-old death of Von. Back in August, it was reported that Lul Tim would no longer face trial for the murder of Von. The Quando Rondo affiliate had been out on bail since 2021 but was still preparing to face trial over Von’s 2020 death. Reportedly, prosecutors now view Von’s death as being the result of self-defense. This comes as a result of evidence appearing to show Von assaulting Rondo prior to this death.

The charges against Tim have also proven to be socially controversial. There are many who view Tim as a hero for reportedly killing Von. Of course, some have gone as far as to label Von as a “serial killer“, with one notorious YouTube documentary attributing as many as 10 murders to the Chicago rapper. But with Tim’s charges now dropped, it appears to have brought the saga of King Von’s death to an end.

Memo600 Reacts To Lul Tim Getting King Von Murder Charges Dropped

Memo600 is someone who has paid a lot of attention to the situation involving King Von, Lul Tim, and Lil Durk. In fact, anyone associated with OTF is probably keeping tabs on the situation. Although Memo600 is no longer part of the collective, he definitely was aware of what was going on back in 2020 and 2021. As many hip-hop fans already know, King Von was murdered back in November 2020. Overall, it was a shocking incident that had many wondering whether or not Lil Durk would retaliate.

A rapper by the name of Lul Tim was ultimately accused of the murder. Tim is a good friend of Quando Rondo, which led to some thinking that Rondo was in danger. Either way, Lul Tim was facing murder charges. In August 2023, those charges were dropped on the count of self-defense. It turned out to be a huge win for the artist, and fans were certainly split on the issue. Recently, RealToonTV asked Memo600 about the charges being dropped, and how he felt about it all.

Memo600 Speaks

Although he has a prior affiliation with OTF, Memo600 does not believe the charges being dropped is a bad thing. Instead, he believes it is good for people to get off from self-defense charges. As fans pointed out in the comments, this is consistent with someone who believes in self-preservation. If he were in a similar situation to Lul Tim, he would want the same legal precedent to take over. Moreover, others noted that people who are involved with street life rarely like to see others end up in prison.

No matter what, this is a case that will likely be talked about for a very long time. Let us know what you think of Memo600’s take on all of it, in the comments section below.
