Who Is Performing At The 2023 Grammys?

The 2023 Grammys are officially just days away! With the show airing live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night, many fans and even just casual music listeners might be wondering what exactly the event has in store.

Along with handing out awards for the coveted Album Of The Year and Song Of The Year awards (and many more), the Recording Academy has a stacked lineup of performances planned throughout the night.

Currently, Bad Bunny, Brandi Carlile, Kim Petras, Lizzo, Luke Combs, Mary J. Blige, Sam Smith, and Steve Lacy are among the first wave of announced musicians hitting the stage.

In addition, earlier today, the Recording Academy revealed that they’ll also be including a tribute segment to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

Hosted by LL Cool J and produced by Questlove, the performance will also include Big Boi, Busta Rhymes with Spliff Star, De La Soul, DJ Drama, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Missy Elliott, Future, GloRilla, Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Mele Mel & Scorpio/Ethiopian King, Ice-T, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, The Lox, Method Man, Nelly, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah, Rahiem, Rakim, RUN-DMC, Salt-N-Pepa and Spinderella, Scarface, Swizz Beatz, and Too $hort.

The 2023 Grammy Awards airs this Sunday, February 5 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.

Latto, Doechii, And More Will Be Honored At The 2023 Billboard Women In Music Awards Hosted By Quinta Brunson

The honorees for the annual Billboard Women In Music Awards have been announced, as a new class of women celebrate a year of making their mark on the music industry. Set for March 1, 2023, at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California, and hosted by Quinta Brunson — who’s making quite the mark of her own in television — the Women In Music Awards acknowledge the artists who have had an outstanding year.

This year’s honorees include Latin music star Becky G, who will receive the Impact Award; genre-breaking rapper Doechii, who will receive the Rising Star Award; reggaeton pioneer Ivy Queen, who will receive the Icon Award; pop singer Kim Petras, who will receive the Chartbreaker Award; Atlanta rap hitmaker Latto, who will receive the Powerhouse Award; country music rising star Lainey Wilson, who will receive the Rulebreaker Award; Lana Del Rey, who will receive the Visionary Award; and K-pop girl group TWICE, who will receive the Breakthrough Award. The night’s performers will be announced at a later date.

Previous recipients of Women In Music honors include Doja Cat, HER, and Saweetie, all of whom performed at least year’s show. Tickets will be open to the public, with an American Express member-exclusive presale on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 31 and February 1, and the general sale Friday, February 3 at 10 am PT. Bad Bunny, Lizzo, And Steve Lacy Join The First Round Of 2023 Grammys Performers

The first round of performers for the 2023 Grammy Awards has been announced.

The performers for the Sunday, February 5 show will include Bad Bunny, Brandi Carlile, Kim Petras, Lizzo, Luke Combs, Mary J. Blige, Sam Smith, and Steve Lacy. The show will again be hosted by Trevor Noah.

The full list of Grammys nominees was published in November and includes many of those billed to perform. Bad Bunny is up for three awards, including Best Pop Solo Performance for “Moscow Mule,” Best Música Urbana Album for Un Verano Sin Ti, and the big one, Album Of The Year.

Meanwhile, Lizzo is also up for Album Of The Year for Special, as well as Best Pop Solo Performance for “About Damn Time,” Best Pop Vocal Album, Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year, and Best Remixed Recording for the Purple Disco Machine Remix of “About Damn Time.”

Beyoncé is the most-nominated artist of the year with nine including Record Of The Year, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Performance, Song Of The Year, Best Dance/Electronic Album, and Album Of The Year for Renaissance.

First-time nominees for awards include GloRilla, Kim Petras, Latto, and Tobe Nwigwe.

The Grammys will air live on 2/5 at 8 pm ET/5 pm PT on CBS, Paramount+, and Grammy.com.

Ellie Goulding, Kali Uchis, Young MA, And More Will Play The Women-Led Versa Festival

A new festival celebrating women in music, food, and comedy will launch this summer in Chicago’s Lincoln Park. Versa Festival boasts a line-up of women artists, chefs, and comedians across five different stages over the course of two days. Festivities kick off Saturday, June 11th and continue into Sunday, June 12th.

In the musical line-up are Ellie Goulding, Kim Petras, Young MA, Big Freedia, Liz Phair, and Kali Uchis. Meanwhile, delivering laughs are Chelsea Handler, Ilana Glazer, Aida Rodriguez, and Sydnee Washington. Chefs will be announced at a later date, however, the line-up and dishes are set to be curated by Top Chef judge Gail Simmons.

“Versa is a one-of-a-kind live experience that will bring people together for a purpose – to remind women of their value and their voice,” said Shelley Phillips, Executive Producer and Partner of Four Leaf Productions, in a statement. “It’s exciting to build something that offers people a chance to have a good time and fight the good fight, all at once.”

In addition to music, comedy, and food, Versa Festival will also feature lectures from the likes of Gloria Steinem and Alok Vaid-Menon. A Versa Ball, inspired by ballroom culture, hosted by ballroom icon Leggoh JohVera, will also take place at the festival on a to be announced date.
