During his feud with Kendrick Lamar, Drake was hit with some incredibly heavy allegations. Overall, the biggest one was that he liked underage girls. Furthermore, Kendrick accused the megastar of consistently employing sex offenders, and allowing his child around them. These are allegations that were made on songs like “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.” Eventually, Drake came out and replied to these allegations on “The Heart Part 6.”
“Drake is not a name that you gon’ see on no sex offender list, Eazy-Duz-It/ You mentionin’ A minor, but n****s gotta B sharp and tell the fans, ‘Who was it?’/ You thought you left D flat, D major,” he rapped. Unfortunately for Drake, his latest awards nomination has proven to be an unfortunate one, and there wasn’t really anything he could do about it. As Complex reported on Tuesday, he is now up for a Kids’ Choice Award. He will be battling The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Post Malone, and Usher for Favorite Male Artist.
Following this news, fans rushed to Twitter to post memes filled with Kendrick’s allegations against Drizzy. Clips from “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us” were running rampant, while others simply looked to remix the lyrics to those songs. It was all very unfortunate, but indicative of how the internet operates these days. Now that Kendrick has planted that seed, it will be hard for Drake to separate himself from the jokes. Only time will tell whether or not fans opt to forget or continue the memes for years to come.

Drake, Ice Spice, The Weeknd, and several more artists will be competing for trophies at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The network announced the full list of nominees on Tuesday, ahead of the ceremony on July 13. Drake will be competing for the Favorite Male Artist award.
Other artists in the category will include Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, Post Malone, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, and Usher. As for Ice Spice, she’s up for the Favorite Breakout Artist award while her song with Taylor Swift, “Karma (Remix),” is up for Favorite Musical Collaboration, as is her Nicki Minaj-assisted track, “Barbie World.”
Drake has been nominated at the show on numerous occasions over the years, although he’s never won. He previously came close to Favorite Song of the Year in 2016 for his Views single, “Hotline Bling.” He’s also received Favorite Male Artist nominations over multiple years. Wiz Khalifa attended the Kids Choice Awards with his ex, Amber Rose, and their son, Sebastian, over the weekend. He shared photos from their appearance on the red carpet on Twitter, afterward, describing there as being “so much positive energy.”
“Kids Choice Awards was outta here,” Khalifa wrote in the post. “So many special new kids with talent. So much positive energy.” Other celebrities in attendance included YG, Kelly Rowland, Brooke Valentine, and more. At one point in the night, Lil Uzi Vert got slimmed. Lil Baby also performed.
The Family At The Kids Choice Awards
Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose were married for one year, from 2013 through 2014. They both have joint custody of their son and amicably co-parent. Rose spoke about the dynamic during an interview with Us Weekly in 2017. “We both love our son, so it just comes easy. We don’t live that far away from each other, so anytime Sebastian wants to come back here or go with his dad [he can],” Rose said at the time. “We FaceTime each other a lot. Whether he’s over there or he’s over here with me, you know, we always have FaceTime to talk to the baby. So we talk to him every day regardless of where he is. It’s just easy. It makes it really easy.”
As for music, Wiz Khalifa announced that he’ll be embarking on a co-headlining tour with Snoop Dogg titled the High School Reunion Tour, earlier this week. The announcement came after the two reunited on their new collaboration “Don’t Text, Don’t Call.” They’ll be bringing Warren G, Too $hort, and Berner with special guest DJ Drama along for the ride. The tour is scheduled to kick off in July. Khalifa will also be traveling on The Good Trip Tour this year with Joey Bada$$, Smoke DZA, Berner, and Chevy Woods. Those shows will begin next month.
Lil Uzi Vert doesn’t agree that their viral smash song, “Just Wanna Rock,” has replaced Meek Mill’s beloved 2012 track “Dreams & Nightmares” as Philadelphia’s rap anthem. However, that has stopped the track from being enjoyed across the globe, especially in their hometown of Philly.
Before Uzi takes their act on the road to headline The Roots Picnic and Broccoli City Festival, they made a special appearance at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards on Sunday (March 4) to perform the song. Backed by a team of dancers as well as hosts Nate Burleson and Charli D’Amelio, the rapper delivered their epic Jersey-club-influenced choreography.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the Kids’ Choice Awards without a celebrity sliming. Lil Uzi Vert gave into the ceremony’s tradition, but before they did so, the rapper gave the eager crowd a taste of their budding skills on drums. However, after a few notes, Uzi brought out 8-year-old drumming prodigy Justin Wilson II to finish out the song.
After Wilson kills his solo set, Uzi takes center stage as slime falls from the Microsoft Theater ceiling.
The 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards were staged at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 4. Lil Baby avoided getting slimed, unlike fellow performer Bebe Rexha, but a select few viewers were a little green about his performance.
Apparently, Baby’s top-10 Billboard Hot 100 hit “California Breeze” didn’t belong on Nickelodeon because of its explicit and suggestive lyrics, which were censored for the young audience. (How dare Baby perform under inflatable palm trees and bring his two young sons on the stage with him?)
The squealing kids in attendance couldn’t get enough of Baby, but reviews on the internet were mixed. Some people didn’t understand the backlash given The Weeknd’s past controversial nomination for “Can’t Feel My Face,” very obviously about cocaine, at the Kids’ Choice Awards; others didn’t understand how Nickelodeon allowed Baby on its airwaves.
i had to thug it out and watch Selena Gomez & Miranda Cosgrove back in my day ….. BUT TODAY’S KIDS GET TO WATCH LIL BABY PERFORM AT THE KID’S CHOICE AWARDS THIS YEAR ????? Nickelodeon got some explainin’ to do frl. pic.twitter.com/v2DlQshXPH
Mannnnnn lil baby did what he was paid to do stop blaming him blame Nickelodeon if it’s that deep 🤣

Lil Baby being booked to perform at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards this year reminds me of that Tik Tok that was saying the preteens really don’t have like a 16 year old Raven Symone or Hannah Montana pop star to stan anymore wow #KidsChoiceAward2023
I remember Nickelodeon use to have slime wars at awards shows in shit. When tf they start getting rappers to perform 😭 Lil Baby performed to like wtf https://t.co/3w9VImy17D

Baby didn’t have time to pay attention to the criticism, as if he’d care anyway, because he also performed across town at Rolling Loud California on Saturday night.
Baby dropped his “Forever” video on February 27, squeezing as much juice as possible from last October’s It’s Only Me. His third studio albumdebuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, making it his third career No. 1 album.
Bebe Rexha is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
Lil Baby just performed at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, and many fans believe that it was an inappropriate appearance. Moreover, he rapped the cut “California Breeze” off his latest album, 2022’s It’s Only Me. While he gave a cleaned-up rendition of the track, many still pointed to the track’s sexually explicit lyrical content. Of course, conversations like these surrounding kids’ proximity to genres like hip-hop are nothing new. Still, it was quite bizarre to see the Atlanta MC try to turn up some 11-year-olds.
Furthermore, Twitter had a field day reacting to the sight and cracking some jokes about it. “Lil Baby performing at a kids choice awards is like Yo Gotti performing at a back to school tour,” one fan remarked. Another wrote, “Y’all worried about Lil Baby Performing at the Kids choice awards but your kids know every word to Glorilla songs and s**t and they are twerking. Ijs like the selective outrage ain’t none of this music kid appropriate now a days let’s be honest!” That “selective outrage” reference is likely from Chris Rock’s latest comedy special, which itself drew some fire online.
“California Breeze” Takes Kids’ Choice Awards By Storm
However, any complaints from online adults don’t concern kids loving the performance onstage. After all, a lot of the show’s target audience isn’t quite at the impressionable teen age that these lyrics could more confidently affect. As such, they were just happy to dance along to the song and not really care about (or fully understand) what Baby was saying. Also, the 28-year-old probably got the gig in the first place because he has young kids of his own. What’s more is that eight-year-old Jason and four-year-old Loyal also attended the awards ceremony alongside their dad.
Meanwhile, Baby’s latest headline appearances stemmed from topics that would’ve torn the Kids’ Choice stage apart. Moreover, Blueface and Chrisean Rock fought recently over Baby contacting Chrisean. Since then, the California rapper adamantly claimed that him, as well as other rappers like Rick Ross, want to get with her. Overall, it’s quite hilarious but also enlightening to see just how many lanes the “Freestyle” artist finds himself in. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Baby and check out more reactions down below.

Beyoncé, Cardi B, and many more high-profile artists are among the nominees at the 2023 Kids’ Choice Awards. Nickelodeon announced the full list of artists competing for awards on Tuesday.
The rest of the awards list boasts Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, Drake, Adele, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Kendrick Lamar, and many more.
Social media star Charli D’Amelio will be hosting the event alongside CBS Mornings co-host Nate Burleson.
“I got slimed at the KCA’s in 2021, saw my sister [Dixie] get slimed at last year’s show and now, no one is safe with me as co-host!” D’Amelio wrote in a press statement. “Nate and I will make sure this year’s show is full of unexpected slime shots, impressive dances and surprise tricks along the way!”
Additionally, D’Amelio is nominated for Favorite Female Creator, an award she’s already won in past years.
“It’s so special to be recognized alongside a group of people that I love and all of my fellow social creators,” she said.
The 2023 Kids’ Choice Awards will air live from L.A.’s Microsoft Theater on Saturday, March 4 at 7:00 PM, ET.

Kid Cudi and Jack Harlow both have nominations at this weekend’s Grammy Awards and it turns out they’ll both be busy next weekend, too: Billboard reports they’re going to perform at Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards (hosted by Miranda Cosgrove and Rob Gronkowski) next Saturday, April 9.
Billboard notes Cudi will perform a medley of his new Sonic The Hedgehog 2 single “Stars In The Sky” and his 2010 classic “Pursuit Of Happiness.”
Cudi said in a statement, “I can’t believe my late 30-something butt gets to party at the Kids’ Choice Awards! I grew up loving Nickelodeon and it’s been a dream of mine to get slimed.” Harlow offered a similar statement, saying, “I grew up on Nickelodeon so to be nominated AND perform at the Kids’ Choice Awards is crazy. Here’s to hoping I get slimed!”
Harlow has a nomination at this year’s ceremony, as he’s up for Favorite Breakout Artist against Chlöe, Glass Animals, Olivia Rodrigo, Saweetie, and Walker Hayes. As for who leads the music nominations, Taylor Swift and Adele each have four nods in various categories. This year’s first-time music nominees include Rodrigo, Saweetie, The Kid Laroi, and Doja Cat.
