Now Clark, four years later, is all but set to repeat as National Player of the Year, has broken numerous records, and is widely considered one of the greatest college players of all time. All that’s missing from her trophy cabinet is a National Championship. Clark’s Iowa team was set as 2-seed in the most recent committee reveal. They will finish their regular season against Ohio State this weekend. However, the Buckeyes have already captured the Big Ten title.

Iowa will likely enter the conference tournament as the second seed after Ohio State captured the regular season title earlier this week.

Kevin Durant has stated that he wants Team USA to “really make a statement” at the 2024 Olympics with “40, 50-point wins” against their opponents. There are four Olympic berths left to decide for the men’s competition. However, currently, the USA’s opponents could include France, South Sudan, Canada, Japan, Germany, Serbia, and Australia. Durant, a member of the initial player pool of Team USA, is a frontrunner to return to the squad, which is expected to be announced in May.

During the 2020 Olympics, in which Team USA won gold, they averaged a margin of victory of 25.4 points. However, this involved bouncing back from an opening game loss to France, who they would later beat by five in the gold medal match. Only one of Team USA’s games, a 120-66 win over Iran, met Durant’s 2024 benchmark of “40, 50-point wins”. Team USA has won every men’s basketball gold medal since the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

During a lengthy rant on The Draymond Green Show, Green called out his former teammate. “[Nurkic] and Kevin [Durant] questioning my character before,” Green said. “As if you’re going to question somebody’s character about a basketball game, as if this is not real life, as if that don’t affect people’s pockets. I think all of it was really cowardly… I think they all wack. Both of them. Everyone was questioning what I said to KD after the game… This is me. I do this. Been doing this. Gonna keep doing this. Which is the same thing I said in that Clippers game years ago. Been winning championships. Been doing this. Gonna keep doing this when you leave here. Didn’t lie. Got fined a whole game check… Fast forward, wasn’t a lie,” Green said.

Furthermore, Green went after Durant’s teammate, Jusuf Nurkic. During the same segment on The Draymond Green Show, the veteran Warrior went after comments that Nurkic made during their tense first meeting since Green’s suspension last week. Green dismissed Nurkic’s comments about his volatility by suggesting that the center was just made that Green had cooked him all game. Green consistently brought up how poorly Nurkic had performed in the matchup. However, fans were quick to point out that the stat line that Green was roasting was a “typical Draymond night”.
