Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign held their album listening party for Vultures last night (February 8) at Chicago’s United Center… and of course, it didn’t end up dropping. Who’s really surprised was our first question, but as they previewed more and more tracks, more pressing matters emerged. Moreover, there was a particular track that caught many listeners’ ears, and its title going around social media right now is “Carnival.” In it, the Chicago rapper makes reference to various “canceled” individuals, particularly entertainers accused of sex crimes, and as usual, drops a comparison to Jesus Christ, for good measure. ‘Cause, you know, it’s Kanye.

“Anybody p***ed off, gotta make them drink the urine/ Now, I’m Ye Kelly, b***h/ Now I’m Bill Cosby, b***h/ Now I’m Puff Daddy rich,” Kanye West raps on the previewed song. “That’s ‘Me Too’ me rich/ First she say she suck my d**k/ Then, she say she ain’t suck my d**k/ She ’gon take it up the a** like a ventriloquist/ I mean, since Taylor Swift, since I had the Rollie on the wrist/ I’m the new Jesus, b***h, I turn water into Cris’.”

Kanye West Previews “Carnival” At Vultures Event, “Cancels” Himself

Furthermore, this is alluding to Kanye West’s tendency to rope his personal life and circumstances into his music, whether specifically for his antisemitism or the backlash surrounding it, which is why he mentions movements like #MeToo. Whether or not you’re a fan of this, it’s hardly surprising or notable anymore given everything that’s happened up to this point. Even though this song didn’t drop officially, fans still have some new Ye material to chew on, for better or worse. He and Ty Dolla Sign dropped the “Vultures” music video, plus visuals for “Talking / Once Again.”

Meanwhile, with another listening party in New York tonight (February 9), maybe this is when the album will actually drop. Until then, Vultures seems more like a fleeting idea, performance art concept, or just a dream that we’re still living in. Kanye West Doesn’t Drop “Vultures”: Fans React

February 9 has rolled around, and to very few fans’ surprise, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign did not drop Vultures as promised. Of course, they still held their album listening party at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, but after a couple of hours in the morning, there’s still no sign of the collab album. Moreover, this is one more loop around the cycle of promised release dates, snippets, song teases, listening parties, and eventual disappointment that a Ye rollout lives off of. As such, we’re back to not knowing anything about the project, and even less about the two volumes that are supposed to come out later in the year.

Furthermore, a lot of fans did have particular hope for the February 9 release date given some previous releases and movement. For example, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign released the dual music video for “Talking / Once Again” earlier this week, which uplifted expectations that Vultures was soon to follow. That wasn’t the case, but maybe they just used these visuals to put even more pressure on the drop and build it up some more. It’s like they gave themselves more excuses to have to drop the album eventually, and not give up on it.

Kanye West Fans React To Vultures Not Dropping

In addition, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign also dropped a music video for the Havoc version of the project’s title track. It was the first taste we ever got of Vultures, and seeing them go back to it rather than make something new was an odd choice. Nevertheless, considering how this week ended up being another false flag, we’re sure many die-hards will be at least pleased with it. Kanye West Lawsuit From Former Yeezy Employee Might Resolve Soon: Report

Kanye West is no stranger to legal trouble of all shapes and sizes, and he actually has a couple of suits against him on the table. One of these is last year’s filing from former Yeezy employe Maya Stewart, who moved against him, Yeezy, and Gap for alleged labor exploitation, wrongful termination, and lack of proper compensation. She claimed she worked 80-hour weeks, sometimes 21 hours in a day, received a pay cut when she complained of shortened breaks and unjust pay, and wasn’t compensated for essential elements of the position she had to get herself. Now, though, Radar Online reports that this may resolve soon.

Moreover, all three parties reportedly outlined a settlement agreement, went to mediation in January of this year, and welcomed a new proposal. Maya Stewart allegedly has a motion to dismiss this case with Kanye West, although details of their common ground are unclear at press time. Both brands hired her in 2021 as their Accessories Developer, but they ended their partnership in 2022. Gap cited no wrongdoings and placed responsibility of Stewart on Yeezy and Ye. This added to other motions against the Chicago artist for both similar or unrelated reasons.

Kanye West Moves Closer To Settlement With Former Yeezy Employee

Meanwhile, we’re sure that this is of little interest to him right now, considering all his recent movement and antics. With three Vultures volumes reportedly on the way with Ty Dolla $ign, the 46-year-old wants to re-enter public favor with a big splash. Of course, maybe these albums never come out, which would be unsurprising given Kanye West’s faulty track record with promised releases. Still, many fans hope that this won’t just land on digital streaming platforms, but will be a sort of comeback for him.

Moreover, he has too much content and work associated with him to sum anything up concisely, but it’s fair to say that this is a very pressing question of public interest thanks to his recent antisemitism and album teases. TMZ is actually releasing a documentary, airing on FOX on Monday, February 5, on this aspect of Ye. Of course, he doesn’t exactly like the outlet, but they nonetheless reached out to other celebs to get their take on whether he’s “cancelable,” despite his probable issues with that. At the end of the day, it’s just more attention, so maybe it’s no big deal for the Chicago provocateur.

First up is Kanye West’s “Eazy” collaborator The Game, who told TMZ that he can’t be canceled. Furthermore, he reasoned that Kanye’s mentality is what prevents this scrutiny from ruining his career and preventing its progression. The California rapper argued that he’s not afraid of “cancel culture,” and that said fearlessness protects pretty much whatever sewage he spouts. While that’s a scary thought, it’s more of an ever-frightening reality given just how water folks let under the bridge.

As such, fans theorize that he could hop on whatever this video is for.

Of course, this is all just part of the rumor mill right now, and it’s likely that Kanye West just wants to shout some rappers out. In fact, Quavo supposedly features multiple times on his Ty Dolla $ign collab album Vultures, whose first volume reportedly got a tracklist revision. However, during a recent interview with GQ, she spoke on how she talks through their divorce process with their children, and how they are always a priority. “Ultimately, what matters is that kids feel loved and heard,” the 43-year-old expressed. “You want to be sensitive because they’re just kids, and it’s hard to go through no matter what age. Moreover, new footage emerged of the two of them filming a music video outside of Wet in Las Vegas, seemingly for the Playboi Carti-assisted track rumored for their project, “F**k Sumn.” Of course, it’s entirely possible that this is for something else entirely, or that they might scrap it and come through with something else. But it’s exciting to at least see that this rollout isn’t over yet, for better or worse.

Furthermore, fans are skeptical from both a project quality perspective and a more socially aware one. Kanye West Receives Four New Platinum Certifications From The RIAA

Kanye West is allegedly going to drop Vultures with Ty Dolla $ign this year, as unlikely and controversial as it seems. Although it’s been a hectic, often scrutinized, rightfully criticized, but still engaging few years for him, his older catalog and even recent hits still get so much love from the community. If you want evidence of that, look no further than Ye’s four new platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. They recently confirmed some new plaques, all of which represent his songs– and one album– that sold over one million units again, as they continue to rake in numbers after reaching this milestone at least once before.

Furthermore, these new accolades include Kanye West’s album Graduation, which was just certified seven times platinum. As far as songs, these are “All Of The Lights” from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010), also seven times platinum, “Runaway” off of the same project, and “Follow God” off of Jesus Is King (2019). Respectively, these songs went five and two times platinum. In fact, this isn’t the only commercial resurgence that the 46-year-old experienced as of late, as his 2016 LP The Life Of Pablo recently re-entered the Billboard 200 chart.

Despite everything he does to put his career and reputation in a grave, the weight of his talents and astonishments is too heavy to lessen. Moreover, when an alleged text message from Push to the Yeezy mogul leaked online (date unknown), fans went into a frenzy. We want to emphasize that this isn’t confirmed to be real, but is rather just an online upload that is still speculative. Still, it’s surprising to see, but not because of their rift; rather, it’s because of the other celebrities like Diddy and Jennifer Lopez that he brings up.

“I put out the song because he dissed me and mentioned my wife in a song,” Pusha T allegedly sent to Kanye West, referencing their beef with a certain Toronto superstar. “You let Drake disrespect you, your wife, and your family.
