Joe Biden Tries To Decipher Donald Trump’s “Black Jobs” Statements

The presidential election is in a weird spot right now. Obviously, it has a lot to do with the recent near tragedy that took place a couple of days ago. Donald Trump was almost assassinated during his Butler, Pennsylvania rally by one Thomas Crooks. The latter was promptly killed seconds after his thankfully inaccurate shots at the former president. Since it transpired, people (presumably Democrats) are claiming that Trump set this whole thing up to help him earn more votes. While that is almost certainly a stretch (an attendee also died), the bump in votes could happen. Because of that, Joe Biden, who still showed grace toward his opponent in a recent public address, he is still looking to get reelected. As the saying goes, “the show must go on”. So, it is no surprise that Joe Biden is trying to find any win against Donald Trump that he can.

For example, the current POTUS attempted to decode what his Republican foe meant by his “Black jobs” remarks in last month’s debate. According to AllHipHop, Complex and Speedy Morman spoke with Biden about this, as well as Trump’s supposed actual relationship with the aforementioned minority. “A Black job is the same as a white job, the same as any other job. But you know what he means by Black jobs. He means menial labor,” Biden asserted. That’s what he thinks. He thinks he’s gonna sell golden shoes or sneakers… There’s a reason why we are the most advanced nation in the world, the most progressive nation in the world, and why our economy is the biggest. We’re the only nation in the world that isn’t xenophobic”.

Joe Biden Questions Donald Trump’s Support Of The Black Community & Vice Versa

Then, in regard to Trump’s supposed love for the Black community and the rapper’s that have been endorsing him, Biden is questioning that too. “Well, I’m not sure he has that allegiance, number one. Number two, if you look at his record in terms of African Americans and minorities, it’s abysmal the way he handles everything. The answer is, I don’t know if he has hip-hop artists that are supportive of him”. There have been plenty of rappers that have been vocal about their affiliation with the former POTUS such as Sexyy Red, Kodak Black, Benny The Butcher, and more.

What are your thoughts on Joe Biden’s explanation of what Donald Trump meant by “Black jobs”? Whose side are you currently on? What are your thoughts following the assassination attempt? SZA Recalls Her First Job At A Sneaker Store

Everybody has to start somewhere, and those origins prove crucial to a superstar artist’s skills, talents, and success. Moreover, SZA spoke to The Wall Street Journal about her first job, something that actually taught her some valuable lessons when it came to her eventual artistic evolution. The Grammy-nominated singer started her labor journey at a sneaker store, which was also her first experience with commission and having to engage socially with people on the daily. In addition, she also reflected on what she thinks her co-workers would describe her as and what were some of her key memories. Just goes to show that you can make it out of anywhere, folks, so stay on your grind.

“My very first job was working at this place called Magic Fit Sneakers,” SZA recalled during the interview. “I guess that’s where I learned how to talk to people. It was like my first job with commission ever, but that was also my first job. I always had the highest sales at any commission job.” “Annoying probably,” the “Rich Baby Daddy” hitmaker said of what her co-workers would think of her. “Like, really talkative, but like, I could sell anything.”

SZA Tells The Story Of Her First Job At A Sneaker Shop: Watch

“The first time that I was able to sell something that was expensive, [it was] a Steep Tech and a pair of Tims (Timberlands),” SZA continued. “I upselled on a pair of sneakers, [and] I had to like just approach it in a different way. The other guys were so good at fast talking. Like, I just be myself and be like, ‘Well, I think it looks really nice’ or be really corny or I don’t know.” Given how much her albums have sold, it’s no wonder she picked this up from early on.

Meanwhile, even fake teasers for her Lana deluxe project have fans in a frenzy. There’s a lot of demand right now for the 34-year-old to continue her hot streak and keep dropping great music. With this and much more as context, we’re sure she’ll supply. For more news and the latest updates on SZA, stay up to date on HNHH.

Donald Glover Posts Job Listings For Gilga

Donald Glover is looking to hire talent for his studio, Gilga. The Swarm and Atlanta creator revealed the job listings on Twitter, Sunday. “My creative studio GILGA is looking for people,” Glover wrote in the post.

Among the positions, open are Acquisitions & Taste, Conversational Marketing, and UI Engineer, among others. Prospective applicants can submit their information on the Gilga website linked in Glover’s post. Submissions will only be open for a period of two weeks.

Gilga’s next project is expected to be a short film directed by Malia Obama. While it will be her directorial debut, former president Barack Obama’s daughter previously earned a writing credit on Swarm. Of working with Malia, Glover recently told GQ: “The first thing we did was talk about the fact that she will only get to do this once. You’re Obama’s daughter. So if you make a bad film, it will follow you around.” Glover didn’t reveal any further details about the project.

He also discussed Gilga as a whole with the outlet. Glover explained that he wants to fund projects that he believes in and will match the quality of that produced by “rich kids.” “Rich kids don’t do shit for money. They do things based on if it’s gonna make them happy. Like, that’s really what I realized this last go-around. I made a lot of money, and it wasn’t that I was depressed or anything like that, but I realized it’s the people I was around that mattered,” he said. “People don’t get quality anymore and they need a filter. Gilga is a perfect filter for that shit.” Glover also vented his frustration with artists like Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino receiving funding for projects that are good, but not always profitable. He wants more artists to be given that opportunity.

Goldman Sachs To Lay Off 3,200 Employees: Report

Goldman Sachs intends to lay off as many as 3,200 employees this week, according to a new report from Fox Business. It would be one of the biggest job cuts ever for the investment bank.

While the cuts will primarily affect the firm’s investment banking division, layoffs will still hit most major divisions.

Speaking during the company’s third-quarter earnings report, CEO David Solomon explained that even “against the backdrop of uncertainty and volatility in the markets, we continue to prudently manage our resources and remain focused on risk management as we serve our clients.”

The bank’s revenue during the third quarter of 2022 dropped 12% from a year ago while investment banking revenue dropped 57%. At the end of the third quarter, they maintained 49,100 employees.

The report follows Solomon’s own admission in December that the company had been looking to cut back on expenses.

“We continue to see headwinds on our expense lines, particularly in the near term,” Solomon said during a conference. “We’ve set in motion certain expense mitigation plans, but it will take some time to realize the benefits.”

At the time, reports had surfaced that the company intended to slash 8% of its workforce. Additionally, they were reportedly considering cutting the bonus pool by at least 40%.

The new wave of layoffs comes after the firm already laid off 500 employees in September.

Goldman Sachs has declined to comment on the report.

Experts expect 2023 to be a tumultuous year for the economy. Amazon announced earlier this month that it intends to lay off more than 18,000 employees.
