Earl Sweatshirt Needs NBA Reporters To Ask Jimmy Butler An Important Question About His Hair

At this point in the NBA Playoffs, many questions still remain. After the Denver Nuggets finished their sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers, who will they play in the Finals? Will LeBron James really retire after his playoff exit? Will the Miami Heat, who are currently up 3-0 against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, complete a sweep of their own? Earl Sweatshirt has a different sort of basketball question on his mind at the moment, though.

Yesterday (May 22), the rapper tweeted, “all I ask is that one of you interviewers in this post season please ask jimmy wtf was on his mind when he did the fake dreds.” He added, “salute to the underdog of sorts but also we can’t just forget and forgive this easily.”

In case you missed it: Last summer, Miami’s Jimmy Butler debuted a new long-haired look, one that was very different from his usual style. He even wore it during Media Day, so his 2022-23 player photo on sites like Basketball-Reference features the hair, even though he didn’t end up sticking with the look for too long.

Earl’s question probably won’t come up any time soon for a couple reasons: It’s not exactly a timely topic anymore, and Butler has already answered it. Back in September, he told reporters, “I’m just messing with stuff to make the internet mad. That was my goal this summer and it worked.”

Earl Sweatshirt is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Yung Miami Responds After Jimmy Butler Shoots His Shot During Game

Yung Miami has responded to an NBA Playoffs incident involving Jimmy Butler. From the looks of it, the player appeared to show interest in her. During Miami Heat’s game against the Boston Celtics, Butler delivered an outstanding performance, contributing 16 points. However, it wasn’t solely his on-court skills that captured attention. At one moment during the game, Butler approached the rapper, who was seated court side at the Kaseya Center. There, he engaged in a conversation with her. Although it’s unclear what they discussed, the interaction resulted in Yung Miami smiling.

In response to fans discussing the incident, Yung Miami took to Twitter and playfully used laughing emojis when asked about what Butler had said to her. When a fan suggested that she was attempting to pursue Jimmy Butler, she responded by asking who made such a statement. JT, Yung Miami’s fellow member in the City Girls duo, also joined the conversation. She tweeted, “I screamed,” accompanied by laughing emojis, in reaction to Yung Miami’s comment.

Yung Miami shared previously that a basketball player played a significant role in helping her during a challenging period. Following the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend Jai Wiggins, the two became close. In an interview with The Cut in April, Yung Miami disclosed that she started talking to the basketball player when she was feeling deeply depressed and overwhelmed. This new person in her life brought something different. He also helped her shift her focus away from her grief. Furthermore, he was a stable and supportive presence during that difficult time. The rapper did not reveal the name of the player, but it is now speculated it could be Butler.

Regarding her relationship with Diddy, the rapper clarified that they are currently both single but maintain a strong friendship. She emphasized that they are still good friends. Additionally, the rapper acknowledged that they had their own unique connection, but she didn’t want to label it. They were deeply involved with each other in the past and spent a lot of time together. Yung Miami expressed that they supported each other mutually, and she pays no attention to how their relationship is defined on the internet. She believes people can call it whatever they want. Jimmy Butler Trolls Al Horford & Grant Williams During Blowout Win Over Celtics

Jimmy Butler taunted both Al Horford and Grant Williams during the Miami Heat’s blowout win over the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night. The two Celtics players had previously came at Butler during Game 2 of the series. In firing back on Sunday, Butler reused the same timeout taunt that Horford had done the game prior.

During Game 2, the Celtics had been leading the way in the 4th quarter when Grant Williams got in the face of Jimmy Butler. From there on, Butler dominated the matchup and lead the Heat on a clutch run to give them the victory.

“He hit a big shot, started talking to me. I like that,” Butler said of his altercation with Williams after Game 2. “I’m all for that. It makes me key in a lot more, it pushes that will that I have to win a lot more. It makes me smile, it does.”

As for Game 3, the Heat came away victorious in their return to Miami by a margin of 128-102. Celtics stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 26 points on 12-of-35 shooting “I don’t even know where to start,” Brown said after the game. “It’s an obvious letdown. I feel like we let our fan base, organization down. We let ourselves down. And it was collective. We can point fingers, but in reality, it was just embarrassing.” Check out Jimmy Butler’s celebration below.

“Playoff Jimmy” Helps Miami Heat Steal ECF Game 1

For the third time in four years, the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are facing off for a place in the NBA Finals. Prior to 2020, the two teams had only ever had three playoff meetings. However, the rematch of a rematch just goes to show where these two franchises are at in their championship journeys.

For the Boston Celtics, a trip to the Conference Finals came after a back-and-forth series with the Sixers. However, 51 points from Jayson Tatum helped blow out Philadelphia in Game 7. Meanwhile, the Heat have been causing all sorts of trouble as an eight-seed. They knocked off the one-seed Bucks in the first round before downing the Knicks in six come the Conference Semis. This would be a masterclass battle between two hungry teams for a place in the NBA Finals.

Jimmy Buckets Strikes Again

A high-scoring first quarter saw the lead change hands 14 times, with Boston leading 30-28 at the break. With about 90 seconds left in the second, Boston had managed to stretch their lead to 13 and would go into the half up nine. But that’s when the Heat took over. Miami outscored Boston 46-25 in the third quarter, Up 12 entering the final period of play, the Heat would not relinquish the lead for the rest of the game. The Heat stole Game 1 at TD Garden, 123-116.

Jimmy Butler, aka Jimmy Buckets aka Playoff Jimmy, was once again vital for the Heat. Butler led all scorers with 35 points while adding 7 assists and 6 steals to the stat sheet too. Bam Adebayo was also key, dropping 20 points and leading the team in rebounds with eight. Furthermore, every Heat player who played at least 25 minutes scored at least 15 points. On the other side of the ball, Tatum led the Celtics with 30 points. Jaylen Brown also came close to a double-double, with 22 points and 9 rebounds. However, despite 30 points off the bench from Marcus Brogden and Derrick White, a consistent problem in the starting five was present again. Al Horford had 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. While the veteran center is not expected to be a points machine, it’s concerning in what will be a high-scoring series.

Jimmy G Buckets and the G stands for “Gets.” Ever confident in the ability of the Miami HEAT and himself, Jimmy Butler led the South Beach bunch to a game-one victory over the Boston Celtics.

In Game 1, Butler filled up the stat sheet, dropping 35 points, seven assists, six steals and five rebounds. The HEAT stole home court behind a 123-116 win.

Headed into the game, many people leaned Celtics in the series and that still does not bother the superstar swingman.

“The best part about it is we still don’t care what none of y’all think, honestly speaking,” Butler said in postgame. “We don’t care if you pick us to win. We never have. We never will. We know the group of guys we have in this locker room.

“We know that Coach puts so much confidence and belief in each and every one of us. Coach Pat as well.”

If the HEAT get three more wins, they will just be the second team in NBA history to be the 8-seed and make it to the NBA Finals. Previously, the 1999 New York Knicks made it in the lockout-shortened season.

Jimmy Butler Gives Ankle Update With Cryptic Instagram Post

Jimmy Butler has already had a legendary playoff run. The Miami Heat star willed his team to an opening-round series victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. However, the team is still attempting to defy the odds by moving on to the Eastern Conference Finals. Game 1 proved that the Heat belong in the second round of the playoffs. As the Heat took care of business at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. However, the team could now be dealing with a massive injury.

Butler went down, grabbing his ankle late in Game 1. The Heat guard has given his all in every game the team has had in the playoffs. Including a 25-point performance this past Sunday. However, if the Heat has to play on with Butler, chances would be slim on seeing them advance. The team is already dealing with an injury to Tyler Herro. However, Butler seemed to rest fans’ worries with his recent Instagram story.

Jimmy Butler Enjoying Time Off In New York

Butler shared a photo of himself taking a stroll through the city that never sleeps. However, the biggest part of the photo may be that Butler’s ankle has no wraps around it. The injury scare has been the talk of every Miami Heat fan’s circle. But I believe this photo will put to bed any thoughts that he won’t go for Game 2. Butler has shown time and time again just how much he will put himself through during the playoffs. The Heat star continues to win over the fanbase.

Butler has helped lead Miami to two Eastern Conference Finals in the last three seasons. A series win over the Knicks will once again lead the Heat to the big series. Although the Knicks could be outmanned without star forward Julius Randle. Both teams are dealing with massive injuries to their rotation. Unfortunately, it is that time of year when every player is feeling the pain of the regular season. However, neither team will use this issue as an excuse if they’re on the losing end. Jimmy Butler’s Former Teammate Reveals Legendary Story

Jimmy Butler has never been one to hide his feelings. The Miami Heat star has been having a brilliant playoff run this season. However, “Playoff Jimmy” wasn’t always in the right environment. Once upon a time, Butler was tasked with bringing together a young unit with the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, Butler’s time with Minnesota was less than memorable. But the stories involving the Heat guard and some of his former teammates have now become legendary.

One of the more memorable stories involved Butler finally having enough of his young teammates. The legend told was that Butler took the bench and defeated the rest of the Minnesota starters like a drum. Recently, Jeff Teague sat down to re-live the moment that fans would have paid to see. Teague remembers Butler’s disdain toward the franchise for not believing in him by not paying him the big contract. However, Teague recalls the entire situation being over the top.

Jimmy Butler Owns Timberwolves Starters

According to Teague, he remembers the moment being more funny than most. The former Timberwolves guard recalls laughing at Butler’s behavior during the practice. However, it got to a point where Teague and the rest of the starters were ready for their rematch. But Butler was done after making his statement. That is when Teague claims to remember seeing Butler’s interview on TV in the locker room after that practice. The rest is history between Butler and the Timberwolves.

Now it seems that Butler has found his home in Miami. The star forward has been a part of a few great playoff runs with the Heat already. Including a 2020 run to the NBA Finals. However, now Miami has another chance to create history. As the team has already taken down the number one overall seed in the Eastern Conference. The Heat will meet the New York Knicks for the chance at an Eastern Conference Finals bid. Can Jimmy Butler keep up his outstanding performances for Miami? Jimmy Butler Takes One Last Shot At Bucks On Instagram

Jimmy Butler’s 2023 playoff performances have been the actions of a legend. After a 56-point performance in Game 4, Butler helped finish off the Bucks on Wednesday night with another memorable game. In the Game 5 matchup, Butler finished with 42 points. The back-to-back performances by Butler have caused the legend of “Playoff Jimmy” only to grow. The Heat victory sent the number one seed in the Eastern Conference home early. However, it appears Butler wasn’t finished saying goodbye.

On Thursday, Butler shared his goodbye to the Bucks on his Instagram. Butler shared a photo of himself staring down Bucks guard Jrue Holiday. As well as a picture of teammate Max Straus claiming the Heat would win in five. Right now, Miami and Butler are the talk of the NBA. However, the team will not have long to rest. The Heat already know they will be facing the New York Knicks in the second round. A matchup that is destined to deliver more playoff memories.

Jimmy Butler Solidfies Playoff Legacy

While some players have been accused of talking trash and not backing it up. Butler is doing the exact opposite. The Miami Heat star already has fans ready to build his statue in the city. However, this isn’t the first time Butler has put the franchise on his back during the post-season. The Heat were winners of the Eastern Conference back in 2020. The team that no one expected to be in the Finals gave the would-be champion Lakers everything they wanted and more. The Heat also returned to the Eastern Conference Finals last season. Eventually, losing to the Boston Celtics.

The 2023 playoffs have delivered on many different stories. However, the series between the Heat and Bucks gave fans more than they ever expected. Even Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo refused to believe his team’s season was a failure, But a first-round upset for the best team in the conference can’t be considered a success. Stephen A. Smith’s Knicks Vs. Heat Prediction

Stephen A. Smith celebrated like every other fan in the Big Apple on Wednesday night. After eliminating the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New York Knicks won their first playoff series since 2013. The Knicks didn’t have to wait long to find out who their second-round opponent would be. The Miami Heat pulled off a massive upset over the Milwaukee Bucks. Now the second round will include a rivalry renewed with the Heat and Knicks. However, Smith doesn’t seem too worried about his Knicks.

On Thursday’s edition of First Take, Smith was asked how much the Knicks should fear the recent performances of Jimmy Butler. At the same time, Smith didn’t diminish the amazing first-round performance from Butler. However, he also doesn’t believe the Knicks will be afraid of Butler either. In a passionate response, Smith gave every Knicks fan the emotions on Thursday. Smith believes the moment could be too big for the Heat when they arrive at Madison Square Garden. Check out the clip of Smith’s firey response below.

Stephen A. Smith Has High Hopes For Knicks

The Knicks never really felt the challenge with the Cavaliers in round one. The series surprisingly ended after five. Now, the Knicks will welcome a team with nothing to lose to New York. However, the Knicks could be down a huge star at the start of the series. Knicks star forward Julius Randle was injured in the team’s Game 5 victory in Cleveland. Randle reappeared on the sideline for the Knicks in the second half. However, he returned in street clothes.

At the same time, the Heat are also dealing with injuries. Miami sharpshooter Tyler Herro broke his hand earlier in their first-round series with Milwaukee. Herro would be unavailable for the team unless they were to make the finals. The second-round matchup between the Heat and Knicks is destined to be great basketball. Do you agree with Stephen A. Smith that the Knicks will handle business? Or will the Heat continue their miracle run through the Eastern Conference? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Jimmy Butler to Coach Spoelstra in Closing Moments: 'Let Me Be That Guy'

Jimmy Butler is HIM. After a historic 56-point outing in Game 4 of the Miami HEAT’s first-round series with the Milwaukee Bucks, Butler turned around and dropped 42 points more in an overtime thriller.

When the game was closing, Butler and the HEAT needed a bucket to make it to overtime. In the huddle before the acrobatic alley-oop to get to an extra session, head coach Erik Spoelstra was drawing up a play for a different player. Butler interrupted the huddle.

“He looked me dead in the eye and he just said, ‘No. Let me be that guy,’” Spoelstra said.

And he, indeed, was that guy.

The Miami HEAT will move on the play the New York Knicks in the semifinals, placing Butler against his former NBA coach Tom Thibodeau. Game 1 between those two teams will be from Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.
