Several former collegiate teammates of Jason and Travis Kelce have shared stories about the brothers with The Athletic in light of the news that Jason may be retiring this offseason. “Those two, it was just insane. Like, holy sh-t, these guys are crazy. Those two are really good at drinking beer. They used to love playing Nintendo 64 for hours, smashing the controls and chugging beers at the same time. They would just come up with these random drinking games while playing, and they were incredibly good at it,” Tom DeTemple recalled.

“We were having a party after one of the games and Jason was a little bit inebriated, let’s say, and he ripped the sink out of the wall in one of the bathrooms. And everybody was like, “What the hell? Who is this guy? This walk-on just ripped the freaking sink out of the wall,” Craig Carey said of the older Kelce. Additionally, Isaiah Pead, another former teammate, said that Jason was consistently referred to as “Big Kelc” as opposed to his name.

The Kelce Brothers took some shots at Jonathan Owens, the husband on Simone Biles, during the latest episode of New Heights. “How is Simone Biles on this but her boyfriend [sic] isn’t?” Jason, 36, asked of the Packer before his brother interrupted him. “How am I on this?” Travis asked. However, Travis then circled back around to Jason’s joke. “Owens? Played some good ball over there, I guess,” Travis noted sarcastically.

Furthermore, Travis is one of eight nominees for the PCA Athlete of the Year Award. Who Is Jason Kelce?

Kelce has been the Eagles’ starting center since they drafted him in the sixth round of the 2011 Draft. However, he began his football career as a walk-on running back at the University of Cincinnati. Later, he would transition to the offensive line during his redshirted freshman year. After starting 38 games for the Bearcats, he was seen as a fourth-round or later prospect due to a lack of size.

However, he has become an era-defining center for Philadelphia. He has appeared in, and started, 193 games for the Eagles, protecting everyone from Micheal Vick to Carson Wentz to Jalen Hurts. Overall, Kelce has been the battery mate of eight starting QBs for the Eagles. Additionally, he has made two Super Bowls, including a win at Super Bowl LII. Jason Kelce, All-Pro center from the Philadelphia Eagles, is headed to retirement. According to ESPN, Kelce let his teammates know the Wild Card weekend matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was his final game.

At the end of the game, Kelce appeared with tears in his eyes but declined to speak with the press.

Kelce has played 13 years with the Eagles, making it to two Super Bowls in the last seven seasons, winning one.

“He knows how much I love and appreciate him,” Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts said. “He knows how much I’ve learned from him. He’ll forever have a special place in my heart.”

Travis Kelce To Perform Duet With Brother Jason On Eagles’ Christmas Album

Travis Kelce will reportedly feature on the upcoming charity Christmas album being released by the Eagles alongside his brother. The song, “Fairytale of Philadelphia”, is a play on the Christmas classic, “Fairytale of New York” and comes with a video that depicts the brothers as claymation characters. “Philly, are we going to let a Chief steal the show? No way… But we are going to enjoy the newly reimagined single, Fairytale of Philadelphia by Jason & Travis Kelce,” read the caption on a post sharing a teaser of the song.

A Philly Special Christmas is out November 15, with all proceeds going to local charities. It is a spiritual successor to last year’s A Philly Christmas Special. That album raised over $1 million for charity. However, the Eagles are hoping to surpass that amount this year. Furthermore, the album features 10 tracks and is primarily composed of Eagles players.

Patti LaBelle To Feature On Eagles Album

However, Travis Kelce isn’t the only famous feature on the album. Patti LaBelle will also feature on A Philly Christmas Special. According to a reveal last week, LaBelle performing “This Christmas” alongside the Eagles’ Australian-born offensive tackle, Jordan Mailata. In a clip shared by the team, Mailata admits to having stage fright. The former rugby player, who has been described as the team’s best singer, completely freezes up around the Grammy winner in the behind-the-scenes footage. Last year, Jason Kelce complimented Mailata’s singing while bashing his own. “What Jordan did, you could call singing. I’m very much just like a yeller in certain tones. There are some songs on there that I think are going to shock people, especially people who haven’t heard Jordan Mailata sing,” Kelce said.

Like last year’s A Philly Special Christmas, the album is being produced by Charlie Hall, drummer for Philly rock band The War On Drugs. Furthermore, the album is once again being executive-produced by Connor Barwin. Barwin played three seasons with the Eagles in the 2010s.

The brief video of the pair has gone viral on social media after being posted by ESPN reporter Tory Barron. Yesterday, after a week of speculation, Kelce was spotted landing in Argentina. The Chiefs tight end undertook the 13-hour flight from Kansas City to Buenos Aires. According to most travel sites, the journey involves flying from Kansas City to Houston and then taking a separate flight from Houston to Argentina. However, Kelce must have left the Patrick Mahomes-hosted gala he attended Thursday night almost immediately to make it to Argentina Friday afternoon.

Earlier in the week, Kelce had refused to confirm whether he would be joining Swift in South America. “I might just say f-ck it and just go somewhere nice, I don’t know. My skin’s getting real pale so I gotta go somewhere sunny,” Travis said on New Heights when asked by his brother if he had plans for the Chiefs’ bye week. When Travis added that he wanted to be “closer to the equator”, Jason shot back with a “South of the equator?”

Jason Kelce Gets Trolled In Chicago

Meanwhile, Jason Kelce was welcomed as “Taylor’s Boyfriend’s Brother” when he visited The Weiners Circle in Chicago. The hot dog eatery incorporates “playful verbal abuse” as part of its service. The sign “welcoming” Kelce was later posted to Instagram by the restaurant with the caption “Mean (Weiner Circle’s Version)” in yet another reference to Swift.

Furthermore, the Eagles center gave as good as he got. After the staffer made some playful comments about his brother, Jason gave a little trash talk of his own. “We need to get you on the field. Despite all of the good fortune, it is clear that this relationship is taking its toll a bit. Kelce’s family has had to suffer the brunt of the publicity. They never really asked for his and they were never able to expect it. However, they have been thrust into the spotlight. As TMZ reports, this has been extremely difficult for the family. Meanwhile, Kelce and Swift made their first public appearance as a couple over the weekend. The couple made surprise cameos on the first post-strike episode of Saturday Night Live this weekend. The couple were spotted dining at Nobu before the episode, which was hosted by Pete Davidson and featured Ice Spice as the musical guest. Swift’s appearance came during the musical guest segment when she appeared to introduce the performance by Ice Spice and Rema.
