Ja Morant Praised By Jaren Jackson Jr. Amid Second Gun Incident

Ja Morant has been going through quite a few issues as of late. If you remember, Morant was suspended for eight games for flashing a gun on Instagram. Subsequently, he did again just a few weeks ago. Now, the NBA is contemplating a very lengthy suspension. Overall, this could derail the Memphis Grizzlies next season, especially if he is gone for 82 games. Moreover, Adam Silver has made it clear that he will only make an official ruling after the NBA Finals. He also claimed that the league has uncovered some new and troubling information.

Needless to say, things are not very good for Ja Morant right now. There aren’t too many people out there trying to vouch for him. Instead, a lot of people are trying to distance themselves from the young man. However, he does have some teammates who completely have his back. For instance, Jaren Jackson Jr. was on Paul George’s Podcast P podcast, where he spoke about the issues with Ja. During the podcast, Jackson gave an update on his teammate, while also delivering some praise.

Ja Morant Finally Gets Positive Reinforcement

“He’s good,” Jackson Jr. simply explained. “He’s I think just growing up with this much attention on you, especially being this young. It’s a lot to deal with. […] Dude’s great. People always gotta understand that everybody human. That’s my brother though, no matter what. I stand my brother and I think that’s the lesson everybody should take away from this.” Needless to say, it must be nice for Ja to get at least some kind of praise these days. For the most part, it has felt like his career has been shrouded in nothing but pure negativity.

With the NBA Finals heading into Game 3, Ja Morant will be anxiously awaiting his fate. Many throughout the league believe either a half-season or full-season suspension is coming. Only time will tell whether or not this is the case. Let us know what you think of all this, in the comments section down below. Ja Morant Unfollows Friend Who Put Him on IG Live

Ja Morant is on a self-imposed social media break, but Internet monitors have noticed a change in his social profile. According to The Blast, Morant has unfollowed his childhood friend on Instagram after the second Instagram Live gun flash.

The childhood friend is Davonte Pack, the person on IG live who caught Mroant with a gun in the background. Pack would attempt to drop the camera and hide when Morant flashed the weapon.

In addition to unfollowing Pack, Morant also no longer follows the MBNO clothing brand. MBNO was owned by Pack and stands for My Brothers, No Others.

This development comes as the league awaits the conclusion of the NBA Finals to determine Morant’s punishment. During his pre-NBA Finals press conference, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver notified NBA fans of an impending Ja Morant punishment.

Speaking in front of the media, Silver revealed the forthcoming disciplinary action would wait until the Finals were over, not to take away from the on-court work and showcase of the Denver Nuggets and Miami HEAT.

“We’ve uncovered a fair amount of additional information, I think, since I was first asked about the situation,” Silver said Thursday. “I will say we probably could have brought it to a head now, but we made the decision, and I believe the players association agrees with us, that it would be unfair to these players and these teams in the middle of the series to announce the results of that investigation.

“Given that we’re of course in the offseason, he has now been suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies indefinitely, so nothing would have changed anyway in the next few weeks. It seemed better to park that at the moment, at least any public announcement, and my sense now is that shortly after the conclusion of the Finals we will announce the outcome of that investigation.”

Kai Cenat Thirsts For Latto’s Sister Before Finding Out She’s With Ja Morant

For once, let’s not talk about Ja Morant’s ongoing suspension from the NBA. Instead, let’s talk about his love life. In 2017, Morant met KK Dixon while he was a freshman at Murray State. Announcing their relationship in 2018, the couple had a daughter in 2019. Kaari has since become a regular fixture at FedExForum after Murray was drafted in 2019. However, it remains to be seen if Murray will remain a regular fixture in Memphis. Everyone is expecting a heavy suspension to be handed down to Morant after he flashed a gun on Instagram Live last month.

However, Morant and Dixon amicably split in early 2023. Despite this, they appear to be co-parenting Kaari. Instead, Morant has been linked with influencer Brooklyn Nikole since March 2023. The pair were spotted in late 2022 and people took posts from Nikole in March to indicate that they were dating. Aside from her 400,000 Instagram followers, Nikole is also the older sister of Latto.

In a recent stream, Kai Cenat pulled up Nikole’s Instagram. As Cenat looked respectfully, his Twitch chat began to grow frantic. After Cenat finally noticed, he began to yell “Ja? Ja Who?” as chat tried to warn him that Nikole was linked to Morant. After finally spotting Morant, along with claims that Morant would shoot up him for sliding Nikole, Cenat completely backtracked. Previously, the streamer has gotten flirty with GloRilla and gotten a little risque with Nicki Minaj. Earlier this year, Cenat became the most subbed streamer on Twitch.

However, it appears that Centa’s chat is working with some outdated information. As recently as May 20, it was alleged that Morant and Nikole have split up as a result of Morant’s latest controversies. Little was known about their relationship but Nikole appeared to call it quits with an Instagram post with the caption “that’s a wrap”. Regardless, it remains a very funny moment for the vastly-popular streamer. Follow all the latest sports news and viral moments here on HotNewHipHop.

Ja Morant Unfollows Childhood Friend Who Filmed Gun Video

Ja Morant went viral for pulling a gun out on Instagram Live on May 13. A day later, he had been suspended from all team activities by the Memphis Grizzlies. Morant had already served an eight-game suspension for pulling a gun out while streaming at a strip club in March. Despite Morant appearing truly repentant after the March incident, it didn’t appear to stop Morant from doing it again just two months later.

Despite an apology from Morant, the league’s punishment is expected to be harsh. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said he was “shocked” by the footage. However, Silver revealed that he would not be announcing Silver’s punishment until the conclusion of the NBA Finals. However, Morant is expected to be suspended for double-digit games, maybe even as much as a full season suspension. Morant is set to start a five-year, $194 million contract next season. Away from the court, a large amount of concern for Morant has been raised. A cryptic Instagram post resulted in a police welfare check at Morant’s Tennessee residence. Furthermore, a recent statement from Stephen A. Smith voiced concern that Morant “wouldn’t be alive in 5 years.”

Ja Morant has been relatively quiet in recent weeks. Beyond his apology and cryptic Instagram post, the guard has been on radio silence. When speaking with police during the welfare check, Morant said he was simply taking a break from social media. However, he does appear to be making some moves on his socials, even if he isn’t posting.

Reportedly, Morant has unfollowed his childhood friend, Davonte Pack. Pack is the individual who was driving and filming Morant during the second gun-flashing incident. To Pack’s credit, he did attempt to turn the camera away from Morant when his gun became visible. However, if the unfollow is true, it appears that Morant is leveling some of the blame for the incident with Pack.

Moneybagg Yo Speaks On Ja Morant Situation, Says He’s Going Through A “Phase”

The Ja Morant suspension has been one of the most divisive and hotly discussed debates in the NBA in recent memory. While many figures within the league get into enough arguments over it, even those in the wider pop culture world gave their two cents. Of course, the rap sphere is no different, with various MCs and industry leaders chiming in with criticism, concern, or defenses. The latest to do so is Memphis’ own Moneybagg Yo, who apparently spoke to the Grizzlies player concerning his gun-toting incident. During an interview on the Complex show 360 With Speedy, he said that Morant still has a lot of growing to do.

“Unfortunately, the situation going on with it right now… he 23, I feel like it’s just a phase,” Moneybagg Yo shared concerning Ja Morant. “He probably don’t even understand. When I was exactly 23, 24… it was like I was just doing stuff and people had to tell me, or I had to bump my head. So I’m grateful to make it out those situations. Some people don’t even shake back from certain situations, you feel me?

“I feel like he don’t even know what it is right now,” he continued. “He probably don’t believe this is life. You have those stages. Like, I went through that, I had my homeboys like- I’ll still pull up to the trap. I done went platinum, I done this show, I done been with this person, I’ve been on interview with you and everything, I still go back to Memphis and I’m in the trap. I’m in the hood, I’m pulling up on the block, smoking, chilling. Like, ‘Bro, what you doing?’ I had homeboys like, ‘Bro, what you got going, bro, get out of here. You blowing the spot up,’ you know what I’m saying?

“So I just look at it like, ‘This one of them phases,’” the Hard To Love artist concluded. “Ja gon’ snap out of it, and of course I gave him encouraging words. He was just like, ‘I appreciate that, big bro, I got you. I’m gonna get it right.’” For more news and the latest updates on Ja Morant and Moneybagg Yo, keep checking in with HNHH.

Cam’ron Defends Ja Morant, Tells Strippers: “Y’all B*tches Buggin’”

Cam’ron recently appeared on the It Is What It Is podcast, where he shared his thoughts on strippers from the club Ja Morant flashed a gun at wanting an apology. They further discussed the incident, which saw the athlete brandishing the gun on Instagram Live. Cam’ron stated that people bring guns to strip clubs all the time, claiming that if Lil Durk brought a gun to their club they would have been fine with it. He suggests that the dancers are just hopping on the bandwagon after Morant’s recent controversy.

The conversation took place after one of the exotic dancers claimed they never received an apology. “I don’t foresee an apology [anytime] soon,” she told the New York Post, “He’s a boy.” Another employee of the club also spoke on the incident. “He’s clearly begging for attention and trying to be a baller,” she claims. “He should be banned from all clubs and get his NBA career taken away given our country’s current circumstances on gun violence.” The club’s owner Deborah Dunafon, however, called Morant “exceptionally respectful, and sweet,” shortly after the incident took place.

Following the incident, Morant shared an apology. “I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me,” his statement begins. “This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.” Morant was later accused of using AI to generate the apology.

Ja Morant was recently suspended from the Memphis Grizzlies following the Instagram Live incident. A wellness check was also conducted on Morant earlier this month, following him sharing several cryptic messages to social media. Fans were concerned about the posts, which included the athlete telling various family members he loves them, and concluded with him saying “bye.” Police later confirmed that Morant was okay after visiting his home where he claimed to be simply “taking a break from social media.”

Jalen Green Trolls Ja Morant On Instagram Live

Ja Morant has been the focal point of off-court NBA news in recent weeks. On May 14, Morant was suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies pending an NBA investigation. The day before, a video of Morant flashing a gun on Instagram Live had gone viral. It was the second time in 2023 that Morant had pulled such a stunt. In March, he had been suspended for eight games after flashing a gun on Instagram Live while at a Denver strip club.

Morant issued an apology that rang hollow with many fans. Furthermore, his apology was only released after NBA Commissioner Adam Silver publicly spoke about the video. On May 24, a cryptic post on Instagram from Morant prompted a police welfare check. The NBA is yet to announce a punishment for Morant. However, league insiders expect it to be lengthy.

Jalen Green took to Instagram Live on Wednesday, engaging with followers while driving and listening to NBA YoungBoy. The similarities to Morant’s infamous video were already apparent, but the YoungBoy, intentional or not, sold it for many fans. Morant is a massive YoungBoy fan, and has adopted the lyric “It’s a parade inside my city” as his unofficial motto. “Don’t flash no gun,” one follower said as another added, “Don’t pull a Ja and pull the gun out.”

“Everybody’s commenting, ‘Don’t pull no pistol out,’” Green told another person in the car. “They wildin’, my n***a, man. I don’t got no gun.” Green is one of the young stars on a slowly rebuilding Houston Rockets team. Skipping college for the G League, Green was drafted second overall in 2021. The Rockets currently hold the fourth overall pick in the 2023 draft as they continue to try and return to contention in the NBA. However, the incident clearly shows that Green knows how to have a little bit of fun. Follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.

Ja Morant Sneakers Sell Out Instantly After Recent De-Listing

Ja Morant has been involved in quite a bit of controversy as of late. Earlier in the NBA season, he flashed a gun on Instagram live which led to a suspension. However, after vowing to never do it again…he did it again. Overall, it has been a very bad look for Morant. He could be facing a massive suspension, and fans are curious as to what will happen. Furthermore, he had some concerning Instagram posts yesterday which led to a welfare check from the police. Although, Morant was declared to be okay.

In addition to all of this, Nike had taken the Nike Ja 1 off of its web store. Ja Morant had been killing it with his signature shoe, and fans were stunned that he would be penalized this way. That said, his upcoming Nike Ja 1 “Hunger” was still listed on the SNKRS App. This subsequently led to confusion surrounding his standing with the brand. Additionally, fans were confused if these shoes would even come out. They were slated to come out today, and as it turns out, they were, in fact, released.

According to TMZ, these shoes sold out almost immediately. There was very little stock and the price was $110 USD which is extremely affordable. Moreover, with all of the heat around Ja Morant, fans were more interested in these than ever before. If Nike were to terminate their partnership, then these could skyrocket in price. Although it doesn’t seem like that is going to be happening, anytime soon. For now, this partnership appears to be way too lucrative for Nike to just outright abandon.

Whether or not we will be seeing any more Ja Morant signatures in the near future, remains to be seen. Either way, this is all very interesting to see play out. Just like Kyrie Irving, Morant has a lot of fan support behind him. That said, Nike could be looking at an interesting decision over the coming months. Let us know what you think of all this, in the comments section below.
