JT On Throwing Phone At Lil Uzi Vert: “It Was Never About Another Artist”

City Girls’ latest interview with The Breakfast Club had a lot of bombshell moments, such as Yung Miami defending her controversial win at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards this year for Best Hip-Hop Platform. However, that wasn’t all the drama they talked about- and not even the only BET Award-related bit they spoke on. Moreover, JT also addressed the incident at the 2023 BET Awards earlier in the year in which she threw a phone at her boo, Lil Uzi Vert. Many thought that this was because of their proximity to Ice Spice, which the City Girl denied. Regardless, now the Florida rapper came through with a full explanation.

“Okay, so let me tell y’all why I threw my phone at Uzi, for real,” JT told the radio show’s cohosts. “The reason I threw my phone at Uzi… [they] had to perform. So we get in there- and baby, I’m so sorry when I say this. Uzi is like a frantic kid. Like, [they] move around a lot and [they] play a lot. So when [they] got off stage, [they] came to me and [they] like, ‘Come on, let’s go, let’s go, let’s go.’ [They] were like, ‘Give me a kiss.’ I gave [them] a kiss and [they’re] like, ‘We finna go, let’s go, let’s go.’ I’m like, what? The show just started. Then I had on this big-a** dress, I had on a huge dress. So I’m thinking that [they] leaving and [they] sending somebody back to come get me.

JT Explains Lil Uzi Vert Argument At BET Awards: Watch

“But when I get there, [they] down with- sorry, Bari,” JT continued. “[They] down there chilling with Bari, [their] friend that [they] brought. You should’ve made sure I had that seat. It was never about another artist, because the artist is supposed to be there. It’s about you making sure that Bari was in his seat. Bari like, ‘Yeah, b***h, I’m sitting right here.’ When I got down there, you was supposed to check him soon as I got down there. ‘Get up and let my girl sit down.’ You get what I’m trying to say? He acting like he drunk and delirious, like he didn’t know what was going on. Someone turned up in this b***h. ‘Cause he know how I am.

“Yeah, I know, and me and Uzi went back in the awards show,” she concluded. “[They] sat directly next to Ice Spice and I sat where Bari was sitting, so it was never a problem. But people don’t report that. And I had to go on there and I’m like, you ain’t ever hear me say nothing about woman, b***h, girl, sis, nothing. When I was walking up, I was so upset because [they’re] like a kid. Yeah, I talked to [Ice Spice] when we walked back in and we sat back down. I talked to her, I’m like, ‘Hey, what’s up?’ We had our thing, but everybody was still taking clips like, ‘Oh, she doing this.’ No, no. It was very, like, I get it, I understand. She knew what happened, she was right there.” For more on JT and Lil Uzi Vert, stay up to date on HNHH.

Kanye West Visits Police Station To Report Alleged Paparazzi Incident

Kanye West isn’t exactly well-known for his amicable relationship with paparazzi, so much so that he took matters to a police station. Moreover, TMZ reports that the Chicago rapper went to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s West Hollywood station on Tuesday afternoon (February 14). Apparently, the publication’s law enforcement sources stated that he told deputies about an incident with paparazzi. Furthermore, Kanye allegedly asked them to stop recoding his family at some point earlier in the day. While the interaction almost turned sour, he maintained that there was no escalation of violence.

However, this incident is another occurrence in Ye’s paparazzi saga, a recent chapter of which saw him throw a woman’s phone away. In fact, the Yeezy mogul’s actions resulted in a battery investigation after a heated exchange. As people recorded him during his daughter North’s basketball game, he got into many arguments. During the arguments, a woman filming him refused to put the camera down at his request. As such, the rapper lost his temper, reached into the woman’s car to grab the phone, and threw it away.

Still, this new approach is decidedly more calm than his previous actions. However, it’s unclear whether other evidence or stories support Kanye’s testimony. Regardless of his photographer troubles, they still managed to spot him on Valentine’s Day with his wife Bianca Censori. Though the two haven’t spoken publicly about their relationship, their public appearances do give at least some insight. Moreover, they went to a movie theater to catch a film alongside music executive Russell Simmons. While he reportedly relocated to Bali after multiple sexual assault accusations, he smiled alongside the couple in snapped pics. Given Ye’s proximity to far-right figures, antisemitic rhetoric, and controversial figures, this latest outing only adds fuel to that fire.

Meanwhile, the dangerously shifting political ideology of Kanye West will be the subject of a new BBC documentary and podcast. Reportedly, the doc is tentatively titled We Need To Talk About Kanye. Furthermore, Deadline provided a description of its focus. “Unfolding against the backdrop of West aka Ye’s 2024 U.S. election campaign, and at a time when his anti-Semitic rantings and behavior have sparked outrage and a re-evaluation of his place in popular culture, the one-off documentary follows Azhar as he attempts to understand the complex journey that led the singer to become one of the most famous and creatively successful artists of his generation.”

Yo Gotti & GloRilla Respond To Oakland Water-Throwing Performance Incident

GloRilla has had an undeniably quick rise to the top over the past few years. There have been plenty of big moments to celebrate in that time. Still, the 23-year-old has also endured her share of tough lessons. The most recent one took place earlier this week when an angry Oakland crowd seemingly threw water toward the rap diva after she failed to perform for them.

As per TMZ, the “F.N.F.” hitmaker was in the Bay Area on Wednesday (February 8), visiting New Karibbean City nightclub. As Glo and her team made their way toward the venue’s door, a video shows a drink soaking her jacket, immediately causing tensions to rise. “F*ck you bitch,” someone else yells toward the Memphis native. This consequently saw a drink thrown their way from the artist’s team.

Con B, a local promoter, has shared his side of the story. He claims that he paid GloRilla’s label, CMG, $30K to have her perform at the club. In his explanation video, @conbmusic made it known that he’s expecting a full refund. Prior to the event, he promised on his Instagram Story, “she will be performing live… Not hosting, not a walkthrough. She will be performing live in Oakland, CA, TONIGHT!!”

In the hours since Con spoke his truth, Yo Gotti has come out refuting those claims with some of his own. “$30K to perform,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a row of crying-laughing emojis. “[You] must [have] booked Lil Glo, NOT Big Glo #CMG.” Additionally, the “FTCU” hitmaker herself got some things off her chest over on Twitter.

“Ain’t no ho spit on shit!!!!!!” GloRilla wrote after the video began going viral. “Ask dat ho how ha face feel doe. No way you think I’m performing when you paid for a hosting, crazy tail self.” According to TMZ, only a few rowdy patrons were upset that she didn’t take the stage, otherwise, the environment was fun.

The southern rapstress is currently on tour following the arrival of her debut EP last year. She took to the stage in San Francisco earlier on Wednesday night, which likely explains her reluctance to put on another performance.
