Every week, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated July 20, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.

10. Teddy Swims — “Lose Control”

Swims might be starting to lose control, as he breakout his is on the verge of leaving the top 10 on the latest chart.

9. Benson Boone — “Beautiful Things”

“Beautiful Things” unfortunately never quite found its way up to No. 1 (peaking at No. 2), but its lengthy run of success continues with another week in the upper region of the Hot 100.

8. Hozier — “Too Sweet”

Hozier’s biggest single to date is still crushing it in the top 10 after becoming the “Take Me To Church” singer’s first No. 1 song.

7. Morgan Wallen — “Lies Lies Lies”

“Lies Lies Lies” is a new top-10 hit for Wallen as it debuts at No. 7 this week. It’s his milestone tenth top-10 song.

6. Sabrina Carpenter — “Please Please Please”

Here’s some specific trivia: Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” and Wallen’s “Lies Lies Lies” are the first pair of songs with titles consisted of three repeated words to be ranked back-to-back on the Hot 100, or to even be in the top 10 together at all.

5. Sabrina Carpenter — “Espresso”

“Espresso” might end up being the song of the summer, and it’s still going strong by maintaining its top-5 status this week.

4. Tommy Richman — “Million Dollar Baby”

In addition to climbing up a spot this week, “Million Dollar Baby” is No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart for an 11th week.

3. Post Malone — “I Had Some Help” Feat. Morgan Wallen

After spending six total weeks at No. 1, and then hanging out at No. 2 last week, Malone and Wallen’s hit country collab slips to No. 3. Wallen, by the way, and Carpenter are the only two artists this week with multiple top-10 songs.

2. Shaboozey — “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”

Last week, Shaboozey scored his first No. 1 song with “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” but now it has had to cede that title to a returning favorite.

1. Kendrick Lamar — “Not Like Us”

Sorry, Drake: “Not Like Us” is No. 1 again after spending last week at No. 3. This is the song’s second week at No. 1 and its first time on top in a whopping nine weeks. It’s only the third non-holiday song to ever go at least that long between No. 1 weeks, after Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” in 2013 and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” in 2023 (also nine weeks for both).

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Returns To No. 1 Following Music Video Hype

Kendrick Lamar is back on top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, as “Not Like Us” returned to the No. 1 spot this week after the release of its music video. Moreover, it becomes his longest-running chart-topper with two weeks, and it follows shifts within the top ten of the charts since the song’s initial release. Specifically, it was at number three last week, and shuffled between spots two and six in the eight weeks between its two chart-topping weeks. All in all, this goes to show that there is still a lot of interest in bumping this song over and over, and we’ll see how long the hype lasts.

Furthermore, whether or not you think that Kendrick Lamar and company are “milking” this Drake beef and “Not Like Us,” it seems like most people are just content with enjoying the moment and the song instead of roping in Drizzy into everything. For example, Kendrick supporter and fellow West Coaster Wack 100 chose to recently talked about the music video itself, arguing that there’s still a lot of gang unity needed in Los Angeles that this video couldn’t achieve. As such, everyone’s got this moment in the rearview mirror still: we’re not fully demanding more, but we’re not wholly forgetting about it anytime soon, either.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Goes No. 1 Again

Also, this comes as “Not Like Us” is possibly gaining life as an anti-Kendrick Lamar sentiment, at least according to fans. Die-hards were quick to comment on Lil Wayne singing the hook of the song during a recent performance of the Drake collab “The Motto,” and he sang “They not like us” while seemingly holding his OVO pendant. Did Weezy say that to troll K.Dot and use his words against him or is he just singing the hook for fun and making light of the battle? Either way, conspiracy theories and hypothetical rap battle matchups are rampant.

Meanwhile, we’ll see whether or not Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” will have more chart-topping weeks, or if this is its last breath as a No. 1 hit. We’re sure people will still play the track regardless, so we’ll see how far they can take it. As folks learn of his and Dave Free’s creative process for pgLang, there’s a lot of excitement over what could come next. So let’s strap in, keep enjoying this West Coast banger if we want to, and wait patiently for the next astonishment.

Every week, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated July 13, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.

10. Chappell Roan — “Good Luck, Babe!”

Chappell Roan doesn’t need luck, babe. Her viral April single becomes her first-ever top-10 placement on the Hot 100. Also this week, Chappell Roan’s 2023 album The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess cracked the top five of the Billboard 200 for the first time.

9. Teddy Swims — “Lose Control”

Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” remains at No. 9 for the fourth consecutive week. The song peaked at No. 1 to end March, and it has charted for nearly 50 weeks total.

8. Benson Boone — “Beautiful Things”

Like Teddy Swims, Benson Boone remains at No. 8, and “Beautiful Things” previously peaked at No. 2 on the chart dated March 30.

7. Hozier — “Too Sweet”

Sorry, another week-to-week repeater.

6. Sabrina Carpenter — “Please Please Please”

Sabrina Carpenter landed his first-career No. 1 on the Hot 100 with “Please Please Please” on the chart dated June 29. Last week, “Please Please Please” slid to No. 5, and now, it’s at No. 6.

5. Tommy Richman — “Million Dollar Baby”

Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” swapped places with Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” from last week.

4. Sabrina Carpenter — “Espresso”

How “Espresso” wasn’t Carpenter’s first-ever No. 1 is beyond me, but it’s steady at No. 4 week-over-week. Its peak was No. 3 on the chart dated June 22.

3. Kendrick Lamar — “Not Like Us”

Thank you, Drake. Kendrick Lamar hasn’t been this visible between album cycles in ages. Lamar’s ruthless Drake diss track debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart dated May 18, and “Not Like Us” jumped from No. 6 to No. 3 last week. This week, it’s back at No. 3. The song isn’t going away anytime soon, as Lamar released the video on July 4.

2. Post Malone Feat. Morgan Wallen — “I Had Some Help”

Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Helpenjoyed its sixth nonconsecutive week at No. 1 last week, but it’s back down to No. 2 this week.

1. Shaboozey — “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”

At last! Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has steadily climbed the Hot 100 since its April arrival. The unbelievably catchy country-pop tune leapfrogged from No. 3 (chart dated June 29) to No. 2 (July 6) and now, finally, No. 1. This is Shaboozey’s first-career No. 1 on the Hot 100.

According to Billboard, Shaboozey is now the first-ever Black male artist “to top both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs” and second Black artist overall behind only Beyoncé. The publication also relayed “A Bar Song (Tipsy) is the first song ever to chart in the top 10 across Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay. TLDR: It’s everywhere.

Eminem’s “Houdini” Soars To Top 5 Debut On The Hot 100

Eminem’s new era is fully underway. Earlier this year he popped up at the NFL Draft in Detroit alongside some legendary Lions players. That weekend he also announced his newest album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace). The album was originally announced for this summer and still doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet but it does have a lead single. “Houdini” dropped last week and just landed on the Hot 100 in a surprisingly impressive spot.

Eminem is no stranger to commercial success and sits near the top of nearly every sales metric among rappers. That’s why its no surprise that his new single got plenty of attention. “Houdini” just debuted at number two on the Hot 100. It’s the highest he’s appeared on the chart since 2013 when his collaboration with Rihanna “The Monster” landed at the top spot on the singles chart. This time around Em is only being kept off the top spot on the chart by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help.” The country crossover took the top spot from Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” a few weeks ago and hasn’t relinquished it. Check out the full top 10 of this week’s Hot 100 below.

Eminem Hits #2 On The Hot 100

Eminem’s new single has people talking for all kinds of different reasons. It features a shot at Megan Thee Stallion, although not one that seemed to bother the hitmaker all that much. It also features a jab at Em’s own children, calling them brats. But the kids seem to be in on the joke as they appeared in the music video alongside the line. The video attracted plenty of attention of its own for all the celebrity guests who found themselves included in it.

What do you think of Eminem’s song “Houdini” debuting at number two on the Hot 100? Do you think the song will remain a stable hit on the charts for the rest of the summer? Let us know in the comment section below.

DJ Mustard Reacts To “Not Like Us” Debuting At Number One

The beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has been a massive commercial success for everyone involved, especially Kendrick. Songs are racking up millions and millions of streams in very short windows of time. Unsurprisingly, that’s translated into tons of chart success. Songs like “euphoria” and “push ups” had already made their debuts in the top 20 of the Hot 100 last month and now the newest charts just dripped with even more impressive success.

Additionally, Kendrick’s “euphoria” shot up from outside the top 10 all the way to number 3 on this week’s chart. One of Drake’s responses “Family Matters” also debuted inside the top 10 at number 7. That’s the second highest debut for any of the diss tracks so far lagging behind just “Not Like Us” which hit number one today. The song accomplished the incredibly impressive feat of landing at the top of the Hot 100 with only 5 days of tracking. Despite the head start ever other song on the charts got, the DJ Mustard produced cut landed at number one. The producer then took to twitter to share his thoughts on the impressive achievement. Check out what he had to say below.

DJ Mustard Is Hyped For “Not Like Us” Debut

“Sometimes you really gotta pop out and show n*ggas!!!!” Mustard’s reaction began. “To think . . . They really fronted on me and acted like I’m not who I am ! I’m thankful but not surprised; I never lost sight and stayed down. With my back against the wall is where I thrive,” he continued. “Not Like Us” becomes Mustard’s highest charting song to date as a producer. It surpasses Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up” which hit number 5 back in 2018.

What do you think of DJ Mustard’s reaction to a song he produced debuting at the top spot on the Hot 100 after just 5 days of tracking? Do you think the song will be a sustained hit on the charts going into summer? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kendrick Lamar Scores His Fourth ‘Billboard’ Hot 100 No. 1 With ‘Not Like Us’

Kendrick Lamar’s vicious Drake diss track, “Not Like Us,” debuts at No. 1 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. The battle between the two stars spawned no fewer than four new diss tracks in the span of a weekend, including “6:16 AM In LA,” “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” and “The Heart Part 6,” but the Mustard-produced “Not Like Us” turned out to be the true fan favorite, soundtracking a slew of social media posts of clubs turning up and people C-walking to it (which… sigh).

As the dust settles from the two rappers’ increasingly vitriolic battle, its component songs comprise much of this week’s Billboard Hot 100 top ten. “Euphoria,” Kendrick’s initial volley in the fiery war of words, lands at No. 3, while “Like That,” the warning shot Kendrick issued by Kendrick on Future and Metro Boomin’s album, rose from No. 8 to No. 6. Drake’s “Family Matters” debuts at No. 7. You can see the full top ten below.

“Not Like Us” is now Kendrick Lamar’s fourth Hot 100 No. 1. His most recent foray to the top of the chart was a month ago with “Like That,” while his previous chart toppers were 2017’s “Humble” from DAMN. and his 2015 collaboration with Taylor Swift, “Bad Blood.” The full chart for this week goes online Tuesday, May 14.

Kendrick Lamar And Tommy Richman Neck And Neck For Top Spot On Next Week’s Hot 100

The biggest beef in hip-hop has already proven to be quite lucrative for the artists at its core. Only two of the songs where Drake and Kendrick Lamar directly diss each other have hit the hot 100 so far. The first was “Like That” which landed on Future & Metro Boomin’s new album WE DON’T TRUST YOU back in March. The shots Kendrick threw out combined with the impressive sales of the song itself led to the track debuting at the very top spot on the Hot 100, where it stayed for multiple weeks. It was the second beef-spawning track to debut at the top spot this year following Megan Thee Stallion’s “HISS.”

Now Kendrick Lamar is aiming for yet another number one debut spawning from the beef, but he isn’t getting it without a fight. His biggest challenger is Tommy Richman, who just debuted his new song “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” at number two on this week’s Hot 100. This weeks chart leader “Fortnight” by Taylor Swift and Post Malone is expected to slip down the charts. That leaves Kendrick’s first track addressing Drake head on “euphoria” to battle with Richman’s “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” which is expected to get a boost in streaming this week. Chart projections between the pair are currently too close to call.

Kendrick Lamar And Tommy Richman Battling For Number One

“Like That” has the potential to become one of Kendrick’s biggest Hot 100 hits of all time. Billboard already has the song listed as his 28th biggest Hot 100 hit after just 5 weeks. The song returned to the top 10 of the chart this week. That came after Taylor owned the entirety of the chart’s peak on last week’s edition.

What do you think of Kendrick Lamar having to battle Tommy Richman for a number one debut on next week’s Hot 100? Who do you think will ultimately take home the top spot when the Hot 100 drops next week? Let us know in the comment section below.

It’s An ‘Eras Tour’ Hot 100 As Taylor Swift Stays At No. 1 And Sabrina Carpenter Hits A New High This Week

Every week, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated May 11, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.

10. Taylor Swift — “Down Bad”

Last week, Taylor Swift had the top 14 songs on the Hot 100. She’s cooled off a bit this week, with only three songs in the top 10, including “Down Bad.”

9. Taylor Swift — “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart”

“I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” is one of the other two to survive in the region from Week 1 to 2. It’s the album’s second-most streamed song on Spotify so far with over 117 million plays.

8. Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar — “Like That”

Kendrick Lamar has released what feels like a thousand Drake diss tracks since “Like That,” but this one is still going strong in the top 10 this week. This is one of many songs returning to the top 10 this week following Swift’s dominant frame.

7. Hozier — “Too Sweet”

“Too Sweet” is officially the biggest song of Hozier’s career, as it topped the Hot 100 for a week in April. It’s no longer at No. 1 but it’s sticking around at No. 7 this week.

6. Teddy Swims — “Lose Control”

Swims hasn’t lost control has his breakout hit, a former No. 1, remains near the top of the Hot 100 chart.

5. Benson Boone — “Beautiful Things”

Boone’s “Beautiful Things” was the biggest non-Swift song on last week’s Hot 100, a status it didn’t manage to maintain this week thanks to some milestone achievements from other artists.

4. Sabrina Carpenter — “Espresso”

It’s starting to feel like the summer of Sabrina. After Carpenter’s “Espresso” became her first top-10 Hot 100 hit in April, it’s now her first top-5 song with its No. 4 placement this week. Between Swift and Carpenter, songs from performers on The Eras Tour make up four of the top 10 songs.

3. Shaboozey — “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”

Shaboozey has been blowing up since landing an appearance on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album. His own “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has become a hit in its own right and is now his first top-10 song on the Hot 100.

2. Tommy Richman — “Million Dollar Baby”

As for Richman, this is his first Hot 100 hit period, and it debuted all the way up at No. 2. This is the highest debut for a song with no prior Hot 100 experience since Oliver Anthony’s “Rich Men North Of Richmond” opened at No. 1 last summer.

1. Taylor Swift — “Fortnight” Feat. Post Malone

Despite all the impressive newcomers, it’s a pair of familiar faces occupying the top spot this week. Swift and Malone’s The Tortured Poets Department single debuted at No. 1 last week, and now it has held onto its place for a second frame.

Every week, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated April 27, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.

10. SZA — “Saturn”

SZA finds herself re-entering the top 10 this week as “Saturn” gets a bump up from No. 15 all the way to No. 10.

9. Noah Kahan — “Stick Season”

Kahan just got a new personal best, as “Stick Season,” after spending last week at No. 10, climbs up to a new high of No. 9 this week.

8. Ariana Grande — “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)”

What Grande can be friends with is the top 10 as “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For You Love)” maintains its No. 8 spot from last week.

7. Sabrina Carpenter — “Espresso”

Congratulations are in order for Carpenter, who has her first top-10 single of her career with “Espresso.” Also of note is that “Feather,” which was Carpenter’s first top-40 hit, hits a new high on this week’s chart at No. 21.

6. Jack Harlow — “Lovin On Me”

“Lovin On Me” has become a top-10 mainstay in recent months and even after all this time, it’s still only just outside the top 5.

5. Beyoncé — “Texas Hold ‘Em”

After hanging out at No. 6 last week, “Texas Hold ‘Em” returns to the top 5 at it leads the Hot Country Songs chart for a 10th week.

4. Teddy Swims — “Lose Control”

Swims’ breakout hit is still doing well for the song as it maintains control at No. 4.

3. Benson Boone — “Beautiful Things”

The same is true for Boone, who hasn’t yet managed to get to No. 1 but it still doing great at No. 3 this week.

2. Future, Metro Boomin, and Kendrick Lamar — “Like That”

“Like That” was No. 1 for its first three weeks on the Hot 100, but the time has come for that streak to end, because there’s a new champion on the latest chart.

1. Hozier — “Too Sweet”

For a long while, it seemed that 2013’s “Take Me To Church” would make Hozier a one-hit wonder, as it was his only single to chart in the top 10 (in the top 35, even), peaking at No. 2. Now, though, it’s no longer the biggest chart success of his career, as “Too Sweet” just became his first No. 1 single. It’s also the first chart-topper by an Irish artist in decades, since Sinéad O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” in 1990.

Ab-Soul Hits Billboard Hot 100 With J. Cole Assist, A Career Milestone

Ab-Soul has a reason to celebrate! The Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) rapper has recently scored his first Billboard Hot 100 entry. The win is a courtesy of a collaboration with none other than J. Cole. Cole’s track “Pi,” featuring Ab-Soul and rising talent Daylyt, has not only made its mark on the Hot 100 but has also ascended to No. 29 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It appears on Cole’s mixtape Might Delete Later. For Ab-Soul, this achievement marks a significant breakthrough in his career. Moreover, it signals a new chapter of recognition and acclaim.

Despite his longstanding presence in the rap game, Ab-Soul’s journey to chart success has been one of gradual ascent rather than meteoric rise. Known for his lyricism, Ab-Soul has carved out a niche. Moreover, he has a dedicated fan base that’s drawn to his thought-provoking narratives. Throughout his career, Ab-Soul has collaborated with a roster of hip-hop legends. He has earned respect within the industry for his artistic integrity and lyrical ability. From studio sessions with Nas and Hit-Boy to teaching courses on songwriting technique at Mickey Factz’s Pendulum Ink Academy, Ab-Soul has continually sought to push the boundaries of his artistry while staying true to his roots.

Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the track “Pi” received some backlash. J. Cole delivers verses that have stirred controversy due to his potentially insensitive content. In one segment, Cole’s lyrics raise questions, as they could be interpreted as containing casual transphobic undertones. He raps, “Is you a demon or is that demeanor for the ‘Gram? Tell us/They plead the fifth, I’m seeing hints of a trans fella/In cancel culture’s vicinity, he’s no killer, trust me/Beneath his chosen identity, there is still a pussy, period.” However, only time will tell if he plans on clearing it up or not.

Looking ahead, the future appears promising for Ab-Soul. Top Dawg Entertainment’s announcement of a deluxe version of his current album, HERBERT, suggests that fans can expect more from the TDE star in the coming months. Moreover, with LeBron James reportedly stepping in to A&R his next project, the artist’s trajectory seems destined for even greater heights. Stay tuned to HNHH for more music news.
