Cardi B And Offset Finally Reveal The Name And First Photos Of Their Son

It’s been about seven months since Cardi B gave birth to her and Offset’s second child, a boy. They’ve been secretive about their latest bundle of joy, though, not sharing any photos of the baby or even his name. Now, though, they’ve made the big reveal, offering the first pictures of the boy and revealing his name is Wave Set Cephus.

Cardi and Offset both shared photos of the adorable kid last night, in which he’s decked out in chains. Offset made the name reveal, captioning his post, “WAVE SET CEPHUS.”

Furthermore, the family is the subject of a new Essence profile. In it, Cardi explains why she and Offset waited so long to share info about their son, saying, “We went through a lot of sad things when it comes to Kulture — terrible behavior that not even the older kids have ever been through. So many people will post mean, disgusting things, just to get a reaction from us. We want to protect our feelings, because we get very, very angry and upset.”

Offset also described the tone of his and Cardi’s relationship, saying, “It might sound weird, but we don’t always put love first — because sometimes you can put love before work and mess up your career, because you’re not focused. Love is important, but if you’ve got that foundation, we should respect each other and what we have going on. I had never experienced a woman that was working like me and doing what I’m doing. It turns me on. She does her own thing. She likes the hustle, so that ain’t never getting in between our love.”

Gucci Mane Invalidates The Opposition And Calls Their Buff On The Haunting ‘Serial Killers’

After dropping three projects last year, Ice Daddy, So Icy Boyz, and So Icy Christmas, Gucci Mane has been off to a great start so far in 2022. He kicked things off by teaming up with Lil Durk for “Rumors,” and a short time later, he followed that up with “Publicity Stunt.” Now, Gucci is back with his latest drop, “Serial Killers,” and it arrives with a stern message.

In the new song, Gucci takes a moment to address those who are faking the lifestyle that he actually lived. He uses the track’s haunting production to detail his experiences and uses them as proof of how he can tell that the opposition is lying. Gucci released the track with a video that finds him rapping in a room that’s covered in plastic from wall to wall. He also sports a pair of hoodies that calls for the release of Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano, who are both signed to his 1017 imprint, from prison.

“Serial Killers” is Gucci’s second track in three weeks after he previously teamed up with Key Glock and the late Young Dolph for “Blood All On It” earlier this month.

Bas And Gunna’s ‘Admire Her’ Commits To Showering Their Ideal Partner With Love

It’s been a really long time since we’ve received a full-length project from Dreamville’s Bas. His last project came in the summer of 2019 with Spilled Milk. The four-track EP had contributions from Earthgang, JID, Ari Lennox, and served as a follow-up to his vibrant 2018 third album Milky Way. Since Spilled Milk, Bas has laid off a few guest verses while showing up on Dreamville projects like Revenge Of The Dreamers III and D-Day: A Gangsta Grillz Mixtape. At long last, Bas is back, and while it may not be with an album, he arrives with a batch of new records through a new EP.

Bas touches down with his [BUMP] Pick Me Up EP, and it features the highlight record from it is “Admire Her” with Gunna. On it, the duo takes time to shower their ideal partners with love after realizing what makes them special. They do so over production that complements Bas’ versatile ways as it does to Gunna’s slimy persona.

The EP also includes the previously-released “The Jackie” with J. Cole and Lil Tjay. Elsewhere, listeners will catch appearances from Galimatias on “Eyes On You” and Ari Lennox on “The Others.”

You can listen to “Admire Her” in the video above.

[BUMP] Pick Me Up is out now via Dreamville and Interscope. You can stream it here.

Cardi B Is Armed And Ready For Combat On Kay Flock’s Electrifying ‘Shake It’ With Dougie B And Bory300

Two of Cardi B’s most recent singles pushed the boundaries of what some might expect from her musically. “WAP” and “Up” caused quite the ruckus at the time of their releases, but it was all a part of Cardi’s plan to be her most expressive self. For her latest musical contribution, Cardi shifts things to the opposite side of the spectrum thanks to some help from Bronx rappers Kay Flock, Dougie B, and Bory300. Together, the quartet joins forces for their electrifying and raw drill record, “Shake It.”

While the new song, which samples Sean Paul’s “Temperature” and Akon’s “Bananza (Belly Dancer),” is a rather short one, the energy that the rappers bring to it makes for quite the ride. It arrives with a visual that watches Cardi, Kay Flock, Dougie B, and Bory300 take over a Bronx street corner as they’re surrounded by their crew members who are either draped in red or blue. Cardi herself sports a bright red wig as she absolutely kills her verse on the song.

The song lists Kay Flock as the lead artist and it arrives almost five months after he was arrested for allegedly murdering a Harlem man after a dispute that occurred outside a barbershop.

Scooter Braun Says The Kid Laroi’s ‘Last Mistake’ TikTok Was A Just A Prank

The Kid Laroi recently posted a TikTok that seemingly took some shots at his ex-manager Scooter Braun. The video, which is captioned “show me ur last mistake. use this sound,” was used to promote his upcoming song “Thousand Miles.” The song features the following lyrics: “Here goes another mistake I know I’m gonna make / I know I’m gonna make tonight / And I will never change.” As those play, pictures of Scooter Braun flash on the screen, leaving many to believe that Laroi was calling him his “last mistake.” However, it turns out it was nothing more than a prank.

Just a day after Laroi shared the TikTok, Braun took to his Instagram to reveal that the whole was planned. “You got a sec to talk?” Laroi texts Braun in the screenshots. “I have an idea I wanna run past you.” Braun added a message of his own about the situation, writing, “For those asking about the beef…and my friends who are wanting to go hard. Don’t believe everything you see on the internet.”

Laroi’s upcoming single, “Thousand Miles,” will arrive on April 22. It’s set to be the follow-up to “Stay,” his single with Justin Bieber which has spent multiple weeks at No. 1.

Lil Durk Calls On His Viral Lookalike To Help Him Conquer The ‘Blocklist’ In A New Video

Last year was a pretty strong one for Lil Durk. He earned his first No. 1 project thanks to Voice Of The Heroes, his joint album with Lil Baby. Elsewhere, he capitalized on work from his 2020 year which gave him a pair of top-2 albums with Just Cause Y’all Waited 2 and The Voice. In 2022, Durk is taking things even higher and it started with his seventh album 7220 which became his first solo No. 1 album. With rumors of a deluxe reissue of the album on the way, Durk keeps the spirit of 7220 alive with a new video.

The latest visual from 7220 to get the video treatment is “Blocklist.” While many have expected an appearance from Durk himself in the video, he instead recruits his lookalike, Perkio for the visual. In it, Perkio frustrates his girlfriend with his actions at a strip club. As a result, he ends up on the blocklist leaving Perkio to do everything in his power to get his partner to forgive him.

Perkio recently went viral after he and filmmaker King Cid tricked people at a Florida shopping mall into thinking he was the real Lil Durk. To Perkio and Cid’s credit, and in defense of the shoppers, the duo did everything in their power to make sure the prank worked. They rented a Lamborghini and hired fake paparazzi and a security team. Perkio even had fake versions of Lil Durk’s actual tattoos. All in all, it was a successful prank that absolutely worked in Perkio’s favor.

Lizzo Rediscovers Her Glamour In The Video For Her Disco-Themed Bop, ‘About Damn Time’

Lizzo is gearing up to take over the summer. She gave a head’s up about her goals earlier this week as she teased the release of her latest song, “About Damn Time,” through a confident Instagram video. Lizzo called the record the “song of the summer,” and now that it’s here, there may be some validity to that. “About Damn Time” is an empowering anthem that finds Lizzo overcoming her past doubts and rediscovering her glamour through the uptempo record. The track also arrives with a video that watches her turn the halls of the quiet Stressed And Sexy Support Group building into a colorful and vibrant dancefloor.

Along with the new track, Lizzo announced the title and release date of her upcoming third album. Special will arrive on July 15 and it will also include the previously-released “Rumors” with Cardi B. “I think that the music really is going to speak for itself,” she said about the album in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music according to a press release. “I’m writing songs about love from every direction, and I hope that I can turn a little bit of the fear that’s been running rampant in this world, energetically into love.”

She continued, “I had a lot of fear, and I had to do the work on myself, and this music is some of that work in turning that fear into love. I hope that when people listen to this album, it makes their day just a little bit better, a little bit more filled with love.”

Earthgang And Musiq Soulchild Take Us To Church In The Spiritual ‘Amen’ Video

Earlier this year, Atlanta duo Earthgang released their much-anticipated fourth album Ghetto Gods. Representing the new sound of rap from the ATL, the Dreamville signees have a loaded list of guest features on board for Ghetto Gods in Ari Lennox, Musiq Soulchild, CeeLo Green, JID, J. Cole, Future, Nick Cannon, Baby Tate, and Lynae Vanee. When the album dropped, a statement from Earthgang’s Olu and WowGr8 said that the album was intended as, “…a sonic reminder of the godhood present in all of us and a study in how our environments create our reality, which, through dedication, faith and belief can be transmuted into whatever we desire.” On no track on the album is that message felt perhaps quite as much as on “Amen” featuring Philly R&B crooner Musiq Soulchild.

“Baby, say a prayer for me, yeah, put one in the air for me. Show me that you care, you’ll always be there, promise that you’ll never leave,” Musiq sings. And on the new video for the track, a full-on gospel choir and church-style backing band help the trio drive home the spirituality of love wrapped in the duality of faith. It’s the latest in a series of videos from songs off of the album that Earthgang has dropped since the album’s release. They include last week’s heist-themed drop for “Billi” and the heartfelt visual for “Strong Friends” the week before that.

Baby Tate’s ‘UPROXX Sessions’ Performance Of ‘S.H.O.’ Lets Her Freak Flag Fly

UPROXX cover artist Baby Tate lets her freak flag fly in the latest UPROXX Sessions, gracing the stage to perform her raunchy new single, “S.H.O.” Break out the headphones because this one is certainly not safe for work — or polite company in general.

Tate dropped the song in February, just days after Valentine’s Day. The timing couldn’t have been a coincidence, as the song dismisses romantic feelings in favor of a fling with no strings attached.

The Atlanta rapper has been on a run lately, releasing “S.H.O.” shortly after making an appearance on JID’s new single “Surround Sound” alongside 21 Savage. She also recently released “Pedi,” building on the success of her 2020 EP, After The Rain.
